SHE IS LIKE A CAT in the dark AND THEN SHE IS THE DARKNESS Hecate sat at the table, a lock of a hair wound round her index finger, while her other hand paged through an old book that lie open on the desk in front of her. She sighed. Her hair was pulled back haphazardly, the strands she missed falling over her shoulders. Why was hypnosis so difficult sometimes? Telekenesis, at least, she could practice on whatever object was in front of her, but hypnosis needed a test subject... and most people were unwilling to be that, for obvious reasons. The sound of chatter interrupted her from her thoughts and she glanced up on instinct. A few students in the library were reading by themselves, like she was, but the majority seemed to only be there to socialize. What use was a study group if you were actually just sitting around a table, chatting? She wished the librarian would hush them. Or was she bitter about not having met any friends yet? No. More important than friends right now was the necessity of improving her powers and improving her control over them. Self-improvement - that was the way to go. She turned back to her book, crossing her legs, and bit her thumbnail as she studied, making markings in the text with a pen. She was pretty sure that that wasn't allowed on a book that belonged to the school, but whatever. It'd probably help whoever checked it out next, anyways. 240 words MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Michael had been on his Brigade rounds for the day, currently wearing the school uniform as he went about the school. He needed to stop by the library for a couple of things, one to bring a notice for the librarian about something he didn't bother asking about and to find a student who was on his list. And not a good kind of list either. Upon entering the library a frown marred his features at the noise that came from some students, the librarian obviously not nearby to force them to shut up. So he'd do it himself. He walked over as if he owned the place and promptly grabbed the back of one chattering student's head and slammed their head down to hit their forehead against the table. He kept their head down as the other students rose to try and help their friend but froze upon recognizing the infamous blonde. "Don't you idiots know what a library is? Get the hell out of here before I do the same to you and put you on the list. This is a place to study, not chat about." He spoke coldly, a French accent sticking out a bit as he finally released the student's head and took a step back, watching them as they made their retreat before he turned and headed towards where he could find the librarian. Upon getting to the librarian, he merely handed them a small packet without even mentioning what went down just then. Besides, it was his job to enforce the rules and whatnot...and it wasn't like the librarian had to know what happened. "Mind if I use your computer to check the logs of students who signed in when using the computers provided here? Need to find someone. Brigade business." He spoke then, getting straight to the point but remaining polite about it. Once he was given access, albeit after he slipped the librarian a bit of cash to ensure he got to use the computer, he went behind the desk and took a seat as he went straight to work on finding a certain student's log who had been causing some trouble via the internet. He ignored anyone who gave him looks or whispered something about him. He was used to it, and it wasn't like he cared much what they thought about him, the infamous son of a Duke who seemed to solve problems through physical means. 408 words ⚜ @hecate ⚜ notes [googlefont=Alice][googlefont=Lobster]

SHE RULES HER LIFE LIKE A FINE SKYLARK AND WHEN THE SKY IS STARLESS Hecate lifted her head as she heard the gasps of students from the chatty table. Interesting. A pretty blonde boy with the hint of an accent was slamming the head of one of the talkers into the table. She felt a smile flicker upon her lips. Serves them right. She was glad someone in this school was willing to enforce the rules if the lazy librarian refused. Now she would be able to focus on her research. She watched the blonde boy as he left the group, curious about who he was, grateful for his intervention. She didn't recognize him, but then again, she didn't usually make it her business to learn about other students. She watched, curious and amused, as he approached the librarian and caught the subtle flash of the cash that he slipped him. Upon further examination, it seemed like this individual had caused a bit of a stir in the library. Hecate realized the wasn't the only one who was staring, and noted students whispering to one another while tossing glances at the blonde. She felt the hair on her neck prickle in annoyance. Why does no one at this school understand the rules of the library? Near the boy, a group of three students sat at a table, eyes wide as they watched him and whispered loudly to one another. Focusing her thoughts, Hecate furrowed her brow, and honed in on a textbook lying open on the table. She used her telekinetic powers to slam it shut, loudly. The students at the table yelped and quickly got up and left. Hecate let her face fall onto her hand and turned her attention once again to the blonde youth, smiling, wondering if he caught what had happened. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Michael had been tuning out the whispers and looks from the other students in the library as he continued to locate the targeted student's ID on the library's computers when a sudden book slamming shut loudly. He paused in what he was doing and glanced up, his cold eyes scanning over the retreating students. He watched them for several moments before he looked elsewhere only to spot a dark-haired girl smiling towards him. Now what was that about? He lifted a brow before he slowly turned his attention back to the computer screen as he then located the student's ID and which computer they were on.
He grabbed a slip of paper and a pen, jotting down a few notes before he signed out and got up from behind the desk. After that he scanned his eyes over to where the computers were located in the library, soon making his way over there quietly. He snagged a book on his way over there and opened it, slipping the paper between the pages as he casually glanced at the words he jotted down and glanced towards the computers to see which one he needed. After about a minute he stopped and closed the book after taking the slip of paper out of it and then reached over past the student after placing himself behind them. The blonde then placed his hand on the mouse, whether or not the student's hand was there, and forced them to shut down what they were down and log out of the computer.
"Found you, and now you're coming with me." He spoke, backing away only enough to grab the student's arm and hauled them out of the chair. "I swear to the gods if you try to break free or lash out you will sorely regret it." He snapped as well, giving the student a cold glare before he pushed them forward without releasing their arm to ensure that they wouldn't try to get away. Again, he tuned out the other students as he forced this one to do the walk of shame as he headed towards the library entrance, pausing by the desk to drop off the book he had borrowed.
