In memoriam of the fallen…
--------
--------
Rather than the standardized ‘perfect’ day from the views and standards of many throughout the campus and the world altogether alike, the day had actually been rather greyer in several aspects at that time. With gloomier looking skies, as well as a slightly heavier breeze applying a faint force throughout the air and its surroundings in general, nature itself seemed intent upon imbuing hints of drizzles, or perhaps even mild rains within the near future. It was due to this that many students enrolled within the academy - even those who were commonly seen outdoors after school hours, be it from personal interest, clubs, or other reasons - had decided to retire early for the day, and had likely retreated into the sanctity of their respective dorms in one of the three dormitory wings, or had even departed for the city afar in order to seek temporary refuse within the bountiful services and leisure buildings that it had to offer on a day by day basis.
Among the few that had chosen to stay outside, however, had been a particular second year.
Only several paces’ worth of distance away from the courtyard fountain, Captor Sanda Kai had been taking care to engage within his own, personal, and daily means of both mental and physical training alike; something that had become a result and aftermath of the entirety of his life- all while excluding the last two years upon his arrival into Aurora Academy, of course. With a small fox kit keeping watch over him as it laid and curled upon the rim of the fountain afar, his eyes remained closed, and he seemed to remain distant as he progressed through several, slow, and calm motions before the fountain; the fox ears that sprouted through his pure, snow white hair twitching on occasion in accordance to the constant splash that said fountain had produced as it overflowed with bountiful amounts of water. His breathing was steady and controlled, and several, soft toned words slipped from his lips while he maneuvered across the grounds in memorized experience.
”In memoriam of the fallen...of the souls lost to the void…”
With those words, his eyes unveiled ever so faintly to reveal a slight, xanthous glow throughout the greyed afternoon. They narrowed as he continuously shifted his posture, calming his muscles as he shifted upon his heels and turned every so often, keeping his gaze forward, though not quite on any specific thing all the while. While doing so, he continued onwards, saying:
”For those lost to tragedy, and to the natures of life…” His breath sharpened briefly as his gaze sharpened into an intense, golden eyed glare, and he turned the near entirety of his body for momentum before thrusting his right hand out, piercing it through the air by the end of his most recent words, only to repeat the gestures as he progressed his subtle monologue and prayer. ”For those who are simply no longer with us. Song Eun Dal...Sein Kai…”
Two concise strikes would have been performed; one with the right fist, and the remaining with the left as he turned within his momentum once more and finding himself faced towards the fountain, as well as his fox friend. Another name slipped from his lips.
”...Zarni Kai…”
Through the speaking of that third and final name, the third year had wound up and prepared for a swift, experienced kick in the direction of the fountain, though after he had only been able to lift his foot up a little bit past half his height, he gave an abrupt and surprise yelp as other matters distracted him. Truth be told, that last name had meant a great deal to him, and to recall it and the person that it had been attached to often imbued feelings of both madness and remorse within him. Many times, it had been the bane of his second ability, due to how erratic if often proved to be the less his emotions were not in check.
This particular moment was no exception.
Thus, a brief and violent spark enveloped his right forearm, causing him to stumble and give a small cry in pain due to the uncontrolled and involuntary energy. Quickly moving his feet to regain his balance and composure, he lifted the affected arm and rolled his sleeve up, scanning the burns that had been inflicted due to the spark. He sighed, clicking his tongue as he walked calmly and quietly over to the fountain, giving his animal companion a brief glance and pat on the head before peering back at his newfound sore.
”...May you find your happiness, and rest in peace within the afterlife…”
