The past few days gave her enough entertainment to last until dear ‘uncle’ Shion came back from his business trip abroad. The few days managed that gone back managed to quell the rising boredom swelling inside her gut. Normalcy… she frowned fingering the thought while she lounged around on the sofa located within the den of the home she shared with her guardian. Despite having a dormitory room all to herself back at campus Rayne enjoyed the freedom she got while outside the school confines. Outside she didn’t have to worry whether she had to play the role she set herself within the academe of the polite noble child.

Here she didn’t need to be one, she can… actually she hadnt thought about it before. Roles came naturally to her. Much like an actress being given a new script to study for a new character. Rayne never really bothered making up another character to play towards people whom knew her personality. She begged to differ though, chuckling at the thought. Alone she had nothing to worry about. The wind was her only witness she doubted the wind would repeat her words.

She liked to think Shion or anyone within her family knew of the real her. She didn’t know anymore either. If she didn’t know her argument was that they didn’t know either. It wouldn’t make sense if they knew when she didn’t herself. Then again… she paused. Mulling it over now that the idea crossed her mind. Wouldn’t it sound funny if by some strange plot twist they knew? She mused. Shaking off the idea as a product of her boredom manifesting as some half crazed idea. It sounded funny, mulling over plot twists and all those what ifs. Grandfather did say she had a wild imagination. She’s incline to believe him. She just…hadnt expected boredom to trigger it in only being here for a few hours.

Then there was another thought about that incident that happened back at campus a few days ago. That man…. A frown twitched on her lips, curling it in thought as the child brought her eyes to a close. She tried picturing him in her mind, the dark cloak swaying the noon sun, rays of sunlight slapping against him. Darkening the shadows of his hood even more. The man was an enigma, an enigma that didn’t sit well with her but the same time was causing a conundrum in her. She was interested. The bloodlust she felt from the man was like a call towards her own. She can tell he’s a killer. A perfect toy… Thought the child. A toy indeed when it brought another amused smile to switch her frown.

A creak of the door alerted her of Shion’s arrival. Only he had the key to this place. Though she entertained the thought of it being another. Still it didn’t hurt to be prepared, for whatever stood behind that door. Swinging herself to sit up, she kicked her feet into her slippers. There was a skip on her step when she heard her favourite ‘uncle’s voice called out from the hallway. “You’re back!” Rayne chirped out brightly, a grin now decorated her angelic façade as her blue orbs shone. She had asked him to get her those delectable treats from Spain. Their caramels are just divine. As well as a few other goods she had hoped he gotten. What those goods are… well they’re a trade secret. Though she might have a need for it when she does go on one of her excursions. Disguised as a mere part time job. A girl still needs cash, though for her she was lucky enough that one of those excursions could stuff her back accounts for years. She wasn’t merely doing it for the money but for her amusement.

“A story? Ohhhhhh goodie then do I have one to tell you as well dearest uncle of mine.” She grinned. Flashing a mischievous smile his way. “School got a bit… interesting to say the least…. But do tell uncle what’s the story? And did you get those yummy caramels? And that shrunken head—oh wait you got me that from your amazon visit.”
