The secret side of me, I never let you see I keep it caged but I can't control it Kaito sighed, the slight outtake of breath seeming to get lost in the silence of the empty auditorium. Striding down the stairs of the aisle, he stopped at a row of seats close to the stage. Running a hand through his bright blond hair, he plopped down in the first seat. Hanging his leg over the arm of the seat beside him, he relaxed against the back of his own. The teenager was exhausted, his body and mind tired. He was done, done with the day and done with acting. Kaito hated putting up a facade of kindness, though not all of it was a lie, but it drained him still. Still, if people knew what he was really like... Grunting, Kaito shook his head slightly and closed his eyes, not wanting to think. He was enveloped in the silence of his environment, away from the ringing of voices. Here, he could finally relax.
Yawning, Kaito rubbed his temples gently. A headache had just so conveniently decided to pop up, his head throbbing painfully. Sighing again, irritation started to bubble up in his chest. Of all things, a headache had been what brought him to his knees. Kaito's hand clenched into a fist, his knuckles now kneading his forehead. Why, why now? All he wanted was to sleep and rest, not take care of a damn headache. Tapping his temple once, he turned in his seat and put both of his legs up on the arm of the next chair. "I swear, if this doesn't go away soon..." Kaito grumbled angrily, gritting his teeth softly. Hopefully, he could get away from the real world for a bit.

This was stupid. There was no reason on earth for Jae to be tormenting himself like this and yet here he was, backstage at the auditorium. He hadn't been near anything resembling a stage since The Incident and just walking around in the wings was like jabbing at an open wound. And yet... If asked, he might come up with an excuse such as "I can't be afraid forever, may as well try and face things," but that was complete bullshit. Right now, "facing things" was just rubbing salt into his raw and battered consciousness. But still he kept at it, in a way using it to punish himself for the damage he had inadvertently caused; as if his misery now could make up for the injuries and death that had come from his voice. What a joke. Steeling himself, Jae walked out onto the stage. His face had an unhealthily grey cast to it and his expression was carefully blank but with a pinched aspect of suppressed pain. This was just a bit of masochistic self-torture at this point and he knew it. But he deserved the pain. He deserved the agony. He looked out at the empty auditorium with a bleak expression only to find that it wasn't as empty as it had been when he had arrived not five minutes prior. There was another boy in the font row. With a force of will, he dredged up his Public Smile™ to mask the ragged ruin he felt inside. He gave the blond a short half-wave of his hand and dropped into a sitting position on the edge of the stage, legs dangling, and said, "Oh, hello." His voice was carefully modulated to carry well without much volume. tag: @kaito MADE BY VEL OF GS + WW

The secret side of me, I never let you see I keep it caged but I can't control it Sleep refused to come to him. Laying there still wide awake with the headache pounding away, Kaito was not anywhere near dreamland. Grumbling quietly to himself, he shifted slightly. This wasn't the most comfortable place to sleep, but it was manageable and quiet. When a voice entered his ears, Kaito had been about to turn on his side to find a new position. Rising up in his seat, ocean blue eyes scanned the auditorium before they landed on the owner of the voice. Another male was sitting on the edge of the stage, looking in his direction. Straightening his back more, Kaito cleared his throat before replying, "Um, hello. I thought I was alone in here." He wasn't exactly irritated that somewhat else was in here, just surprised. He'd usually be able to catch another presence. Plus, its not like this place was off limits to anyone else. Yawning a bit, the blond stood up and then sat back down on the arm of the chair he was just resting in, most of his lower half out in the aisle. Crossing his arms, he gazed at the stranger. Being fairly new to the academy, Kaito didn't know many people here, if any. But, this one looked older than he was, probably a third or fourth year. He looked quite different than himself, everything about this persons physical appearance was darker than Kaito's, a contrast to his pale skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. Closing his eyes for a moment to ease some of the ever present headache, he quickly opened them again and tuned his attention back to the stranger. "My name's Kaito, I don't think we've met before." Actually, he knew he had never once seen this person in his life, but for the sake of politeness, he went with that. Tilting his head slightly, he awaited a response from the other male. Thank god, this headache was now starting to slowly ebb away. Words: ### Tags: Jae Gordon Notes: N/A [googlefont="Oswald"]
