FEMALE. | FOURTEEN. | BISEXUAL. | YEAR ONE. |
TELEMPATHY. | AQUAKINESIS. |
POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Telempathy: This ability allows her to hear the thoughts of others, as well as feel their emotions. However, she doesn't have nearly enough practice with it, so she is often flooded with the thoughts and feelings of others, and sometimes becomes overwhelmed by them. She is able to manipulate the emotions of some people, as well as plant basic surface thoughts, which come across as subconscious sort of ideas rather than full blown thoughts. However, if she has a sever emotional reaction to something, she can affect the people around her with whatever emotion that happens to be.
Aquakinesis: Akemi has the ability to control water. She rather loves using this power, as it is way more in her control. Of course, just because she can control it, does not mean that she is very good at it. She has to have water available to her in order to manipulate it, as she is not advanced enough to create it. Usually she uses it in small manners, like cooling herself off, or throwing it at bullies to cool their heads. She can also recreate a rain sort of effect in small places, so long as there is water around for her to pull into tiny drops and loop around. She usually does this when she is really depressed and wants to feel better, but she does try to do it in her own personal spaces so that other's don't get wet.

APPEARANCE
Akemi stands around 5'5" tall and has a rather lean sort of build. She has dark mahogany brown hair and bright oceanic blue eyes that always seem to express whatever she is feeling. She likes to wear lighter colors, like creams and light greys, with red, blue, or brown sort of accents, when she isn't wearing her school uniform of course. Akemi prefers to wear long sleeved things, along with a colored scarf of some sort. Despite that, she also likes wearing short skirts and thigh high stockings. She almost always keeps her hair pulled to the side in a braid, tied with a red ribbon, but since her hair is layered, the top few layers aren't quite long enough to reach the braid, so they stay out and frame her face rather nicely. She also wears a few different barrettes and a red and gold hair pin that she inherited from her grandmother. Her nails are always very finely manicured and it is obvious that she cares about her appearance.
PERSONALITY
Akemi is a typical teenaged girl in most aspects. She can be very friendly, but she is also fairly shy. However she loves the same sort of things that most teenaged girls like, like make up, fashion, and getting her hair and nails done rather regularly. She is fairly calm and collected, poised, and has very typical manners of a young Japanese girl. She is always very polite, even over the top sometimes, and is quite modest and humble. But do not underestimate her. She has a fierce sort of loyalty and will do everything in her power to make sure those that are abused get the justice that they deserve. She will go out of her way to help others, but she does not give handouts, nor does she give people more help than they deserve. If she helps someone out of a situation, and they crawl right back into it, she will not help them again. She is fairly smart, but pretty average when it comes to her grades.
She is not the type to trust people very easily, but she will give plenty of opportunities to get to know her. Akemi does believe that there is strength in numbers, and having many people to rely on would be the most beneficial to her. She can be manipulative from time to time if it benefits her in some way. But most of the time, if she wants something, she will be pretty straight forward about it.

BIOGRAPHY
The girl was born into a rather prestigious matriarchal Japanese family. However, her mother was lost in the birth. Due to this, her grandmother raised her to take her mother's place as head of the family. She was trained as any head of a clan should be, to be responsible and resourceful and respectable.
But let us step back a little bit here.
Akemi was not a very healthy baby, and for the first few years of her life, she had to be raised separately from the other children, and was taken care of with top notch doctors and round the clock nurses. Once she was three or so, she was finally allowed to be out and among the other kids, but she would need to take supplements for the rest of her life to stay healthy and strong.
She trained in all sorts of things, and while academics were not her strong suit, she did manage to do pretty okay at them. She also trained in combat, but because of her weak body, she did not flourish in that either. But they did soon learn that she was excellent at strategic planning, of all things. She loved puzzles and problem solving, which wound up being fairly perfect given the position she was meant to take. She was taught how to apply her strategies to her combat training, to beat them with smarts instead of strength.
Her life was fairly average until she started to develop powers. It wasn't like she was special for it or anything, most of the people in her family had some sort of special power, but for her, it was different. Her mother had been amazing with different elemental magics, and she really had hoped that she would get something useful like that. But instead, one day, she started to hear the thoughts of the people around her. She began to feel the emotions of those people as well. Over time, it became rather overwhelming, and the girl locked herself in her room. It was really the only place where she felt some sort of solace.
It was around this time that she learned of a secret that her family had been keeping from her all this time.
The girl had a twin brother....
When she first learned of it, she couldn't believe it, and she ran straight to her grandmother, who sat her down and had a talk with her. It turned out, that it was actually true. She and her twin were born, but because he was seen as an omen, he was cast out and went to live with their father, whom she had no idea actually existed. Her mother was apparently a shame to the family, having gotten pregnant by an outsider, but still, when Akemi was born, they took her in, as she was the next in line for clan head with her mother's death. The boy was the cause of her death, and therefore, unfit to join them, on top of being male, and just as weak of a baby as she had been. Her grandmother had no idea whether or not the boy still lived.
When she was thirteen, her grandmother fell ill. She tried her best to take care of her, but her grandmother insisted that it was just her time to go. She told Akemi the name of her father, and that if she really wanted to go down that path and find out more, that she could, but that the clan would always have to come first.
Akemi agreed.
For now, someone else sits in her place as interim clan head until Akemi is of proper age. However, the girl is still practicing her leadership skills at her new school.
