[attr="class","sf_body"] [attr="class","sf_text"]Usually when Callum got home, the man tended to spend a considerable amount of time outside, checking his mailbox and watering the few plants that had sprung up along the walkway. The small cottage he stayed in was neatly kept, not even a blade of grass was out of place when he was around. Callum often spent long hours in the garden tending to the little flower plants the previous owner had raised. The stubby little rose bushes weren't all that attractive to him, but he had faith one day they might be nice enough to look at.
But on this particular day, Callum was far too rushed to bother with his usual chores. Jamming the key in the lock, he pushed his way into the cottage, kicking off his shoes in a hurry. "Múirne?" There was a note of concern in his voice, perhaps just enough to disguise the underlying current of annoyance. It had been her first day of class today...or...it was supposed to be her first day.
Callum had been so proud of her for finally agreeing to go, and had even asked the administrator if he could TA in her first few classes. Without a doubt, Callum was sure her first day would go without a hitch and it probably would have...if she'd even bothered to show up.
That was the thing about most cats. They lived in their own little world, doing things as they pleased. Only an idiot would try and order a cat around, but this time Callum had really been hoping she would go.
Setting his shoes on the rack, Callum wandered further into the cottage. "Múirne? Are you here?" Naturally the man had assumed she'd just skipped. Perhaps her nerves took over, or maybe it was a hint of defiance poking it's head. But he still couldn't smother his worry. What if something had happened to her along the way, or perhaps she'd just been too scared to go on her own. Whatever it was, Callum was sure to get to the bottom of the situation....after he found her, that is.

[attr="class","Morning"]
Shine bright morning light; Now in the air the spring is coming-- Sweet blowing wind [attr="class","windyscarlet"] School. Múirne hadn't thought about school in well over a year. Cats didn't need to go to school, after all. Then she had adopted Callum and he seemed so adamant about her going to school! Why!? Apparently he thought it was important, whatever his backwards reasoning might be. Quite conveniently, the child had managed to completely forget she was supposed to be starting as said school this very day. Somewhere between the previous night and this morning the knowledge had simply evaporated from her mind like so much dew.
Hence, she had spent the day as she often did; doing whatever she wanted with that cat-like indolence she had acquired in the last year or so. In other words, she had napped in a sunbeam, let herself out to prowl the roof (and take a nap there), climbed a tree, helped herself to several snacks (both of the normal and hunted variety), and so on. It had been a very productive, and enjoyable, day by her standards. So when Callum returned home, and began calling for her in that rather tense tone of voice, Múirne, currently sprawled in cat shape, belly up, in an afternoon sunbeam on a wide window sill, was less than completely responsive.
She yawned widely, showing her sharp, white teeth and raspy pink tongue. Half-heartedly, she licked a paw and swiped it over her ear in a vague nod to grooming, golden eyes less than half opened. With another yawn, the cat-child stretched out even more, white fur gleaming in the sun and pink paw pads flexing out as she stretched. Once again she relaxed, eyes closed against the glare of the sun, relishing the warmth. @callumblaine ||| you know... like nya~ :3c [newclass=.windyscarlet::-webkit-scrollbar]width:2px;background-color:#838383; border: 1px solid #cacaca;[/newclass][newclass=.windyscarlet::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]width:2px;background-color: #c55656; border: 1px solid #c55656;[/newclass][googlefont=Open+Sans][newclass=.Morning a]font: 6pt calibri;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:2px; color: #ffffff;[/newclass]

[attr="class","sf_body"] [attr="class","sf_text"]Typical cat. Callum would find Múirne laying in the window sill, looking as if she was just stirring from a bout of drowsiness. He should have known he'd find her here, laying around on the most important day of her week. If it weren't for his tutoring session earlier that morning, Callum would have personally escorted the girl to her doom first class himself. But of course he'd decided to have faith in her, and goodness knows he wouldn't be making that mistake again, not where school was concerned.
Lazy cat. She probably just sat around all day doing nothing. Reaching out with a cautious hand, Callum tapped her nose with a gentle finger. "Múirne, how was your first day of class?" The look of permanent disappointment was hard to conceal for him as he pulled up a chair draping his arms along the back. He didn't dare pet her unless she wasn't in the friendly mood, and it wouldn't take a genius to discover he wasn't. "Everyone was really looking forwards to meeting you, you know."
Callum was almost tempted to lock her outside tomorrow, but he'd long since discovered how easily she let herself in and out of the house, even when he was around. The man had an undeniable soft spot for his cat companion, and it was because he wanted the best for her, he was so desperately trying to coax her into the real world. "When are you finally going to go to school?" He muttered, resting his chin over his arms with a weary sigh.

Shine bright morning light; Now in the air the spring is coming-- Sweet blowing wind [attr="class","windyscarlet"] Truly, Múirne didn't want to let Callum down or disappoint him. The thing was, she was just so far removed from the usual thoughts of a "normal" person that her priorities and the like were leagues away. She liked Callum, after all. She didn't understand him most of the time but she did like him and tried to show her affection as best she could. It didn't always come through clearly, however, and it seemed as if this was one of those times. From the sound of his voice, he wasn't thrilled with her. Múirne let out the tiniest of sighs through her nose and opened her eyes again.
She permitted the boop on the nose and batted gently at that finger with her paw, claws well sheathed to avoid catching flesh accidentally. She yawned again and half closed her eyes at him a couple times before slinking onto his lap with a conciliatory air, her ears slightly flat against her head as she sandwiched herself between her human and the chair back. The moment she settled, regardless of her slightly squashed state, Múirne began to purr, her forepaws gently kneading at his leg. Now that she recalled her promise she felt approximately 31% bad for having missed class. Not that she really wanted to go back to having to go to school everyday, but Callum was nice for a human and she had promised.
He was still acting like he wanted answers however. Although she tried the usual cat soothing techniques, Múirne eventually admitted defeat and squirmed out of Callum's lap. After bathing the toes of her left hindpaw, the little white cat shifted, becoming a small, pale human girl child in a pair of polkadot panties and a blue tank top. Two articles of clothing! She looked down at herself, a bit impressed and grinned.
"Callum look!" she exclaimed, momentarily forgetting the previous topic of conversation and the very reason she had shifted in the first place. "Two whole clothings this time!" She seemed quite pleased with herself, which was all well and good, but that didn't adress the problem at hand. @callumblaine ||| surprise! [attr="class","sf_body"] [attr="class","sf_text"]Despite his disappointment, Callum couldn't help offering the cat a soft smile as she meandered over into his lap. Upon first learning she was just as much a human as she was a cat - genetically anyway - , it had been a bit awkward to share a space with her. But by now, Callum was slowly coming to terms with the Múirne as his cat, and as his friend, well, more like his littler sister.
With a tentative hand, Callum would rub behind her ears. "Don't think you can get out of trouble by pretending you don't understand. Acting all cute isn't going to help you either." Although if one were to reflect on the past, Múirne was never really in trouble. Callum gave in too easily her meek little looks, or her wide golden eyes that reminded him so much of his own.
As though his words were to break the spell, Callum watched Múirne slink away, covering his eyes as she began to shift. She may have introduced herself as his cat first, but she was still a human girl, and Callum had enough decency not to look. That was until her excited exclamation, anyway.
"Wha-Múirne." The man quickly covered his eyes with an exasperated sigh. While the female body was nothing to gawk about, staring at a little girl was kind of...weird. Realizing he may have sounded a bit too cross, Callum stiffled a sigh, still covering his eyes. "Good job. Two is better than one I suppose, or none. You know if you went to school, I'm sure someone could probably teach you to shift with all your clothes on."
She's just the cutest thing. — Múirne Ó hAodha[newclass=".sf_body"]background-image:url('http://www.designbolts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Golf-Shirt-Grey-Seamless-Pattern-For-Website-Background.jpg');width:400px;padding:20px;border-top:20px solid #404040;border-bottom:20px solid #404040;[/newclass] [newclass=".sf_text"]padding-right:5px;max-height:300px;overflow:auto;[/newclass] [newclass=".sf_text" b]color:#4f7aac;[/newclass]

[attr="class","Morning"]
Shine bright morning light; Now in the air the spring is coming-- Sweet blowing wind [attr="class","windyscarlet"] Callum, no doubt, likely thought her lack of modesty came from her time living the life of a stray cat full time for over a year. He would be slightly in error, but only slightly. While it was true that life as a cat had left Múirne without a trace of the usual modesty or at least body-shyness of a young teen, it was also true that she hadn't been especially modest before that anyway. Growing up, she and her older sister had always shared a bedroom and the door didn't lock so her brother was always inviting himself in in an attempt to surprise and harass them. As a defense, Múirne, at least, at developed the utter apathy toward her own state of dress, or undress, that she now displayed. Her sister had just gotten really goo at throwing hairbrushes and shoes to deter such behavior. It had had mixed success though, so Múirne figured her way was better.
So there she sat, legs crossed and knees akimbo, on the floor in her underthings. While it was true she wasn't baring anything that a bathing suite wouldn't cover, Callum seemed awfully frazzled by it anyway. The cat-child sighed and shrugged her narrow shoulders. She didn't understand people. Why were they always so weird? But his words served to bring her attention back the the matter at hand. Another little sigh left the girl's mouth and she seemed to droop a little. "I'm sorry, Callum, I didn't mean to forget." Her golden eyes looked up at him beseechingly, silently begging him not to be too cross with her. It really had been an accident, though it probably didn't look that way. "I promise I'll go tomorrow?" she offered with an unsure but game little smile that sat a little awkwardly on her face as her smiles so often did; as if she was half afraid she'd be punished for it.
When he still wasn't looking at her, Múirne looked down at herself and frowned slightly, wondering if she had messed something up. But no, all her bits were human (except for the color of her irises, of course) and she was covering all the parts she had been firmly instructed were not to be shown. Confused, she cocked her head to the side and looked back at her human. "Callum," she asked, "why aren't you looking at me? I've seen girls with less clothing on TV before so it's not like I'm doing anything bad." Then her expression wobbled a little and she seemed unsure. "Am I?" she added softly, her voice a little unsteady. @callumblaine ||| <3 [newclass=.windyscarlet::-webkit-scrollbar]width:2px;background-color:#838383; border: 1px solid #cacaca;[/newclass][newclass=.windyscarlet::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]width:2px;background-color: #c55656; border: 1px solid #c55656;[/newclass][googlefont=Open+Sans][newclass=.Morning a]font: 6pt calibri;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:2px; color: #ffffff;[/newclass]
