Culinary Arts I, II, & III
This course introduces the basic principles of sanitation and safety relative to the hospitality industry. Topics include personal hygiene, sanitation and safety regulations, use and care of equipment, the principles of food-borne illness, and other related topics. As you progress you will begin to create spectacular dishes from all around the world, and even learn how to behave in a real gourmet kitchen.
Home, Family, and Finances
Students will learn the basics of everyday life. From how to balance a checkbook and keep track of personal finances, to how to sew a button back on. This course will also touch on the basics of family life and will feature some importan parenting tricks and techniques.
Shop Courses
Woodworking
Designed to teach students basic woodworking skills and knowledge in preparation for their advancement into the Woodworking course. This course will introduce students to hand tools as well as portable and stationary power tools.
Metalworking
Here is an opportunity to learn hands-on the fundamental skills of metal fabrication and gain a more intimate feel for the materials. The class proceeds, after a brief discussion of the properties of steel and its commonly available forms, to a series of tool-making projects demonstrating layout, cutting, bending, shaping, drilling, threading & joining. Students will leave not only with some implements of their own making, but also the confidence to incorporate simple metal components into their own projects.
Construction Courses
Home Construction
Students will spend the entirety of the course working with the electrical and plumbing classes to build a small home for local charity. They will learn how to build a residential building from the foundation up.
Electrical and Plumbing
This course will work with the students in the home construction course in placing proper wiring and plumbing into the home that they will work together on building for local charity.
Robotics Courses
Robotics Construction
Build a functional robot! The goal of this course is to build your own robot with the help of the robotics programming students. The two courses will work in tandem to create different robotics projects with different goals in mind. This course focuses more on the physical aspects of the robot.

Mechanics Courses
Auto Repair and General Mechanics
Automotive prepares students to succeed in the automotive industry as technicians and shop managers at automotive dealerships, service/repair centers, and independent shops. Students acquire both the diagnostic and repair skills needed to service the sophisticated technologies, complex systems, and materials used in modern automobiles.
Advanced Mechanics
This course focuses on Electrical systems and Engine repair. It focuses more on the innards of the car than the basics of the car. In this course, students will learn how to build and repair engines, and may wind up building a car from the ground up.
