POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Sonokinesis---
By virtue of having Sonokinesis as her first and most accustomed-to ability, Jiyeon is enabled the power to manipulate and control nearby soundwaves at her will. Her abilities allow her to be capable of causing damage to select foes through various pulses and frequencies of sound within a given time, with the drawback of using it too long of a consecutive time most commonly being minor to mild headaches or migraines that could very well linger on for a few days on end. As far as combat goes, she tends to use the ability to amplify the sounds that she hears in the distance in order to perceive movements and to think of an appropriate plan of action for herself, as well as to induce sudden, powerful, and possibly high-frequency soundwaves at a foe to catch them off guard or to possibly even cause them pain. For the most part, however, she tends to use this for the sake of fun, often amplifying her own music either on her own time or when working alongside or subbing in her brother at their family’s main nightclub.
Illusions---
As is the norm with others that also hold this power, Jiyeon also maintains the ability to create illusions and images in general at will whenever she wishes to. Due to the fact that she has discovered this power fairly recently, however, she remains rather inexperienced with it. As of this moment in time, she can only form a couple of illusions at once, and even then, making a measly two at the same time tends to put a strain on her head and body after a reasonable amount of time. When she gets tired, these illusions of hers will gradually begin to waver and flicker, and, if she were to push herself to uphold it, they would suddenly vanish within the blink of an eye once she grows tired enough. If this were to happen, she would likely suffer from a minor to mild headache or migraine that lasts longer depending on how much and how long she pushed herself to force whatever illusions she was producing past her normal limits.

APPEARANCE
By virtue of being raised under the same roof as her parents and siblings, Jiyeon could more or less be described as the type of girl to look somewhat like a fashionista or even an idol in training. With lightly toned, fair, and soft skin, she maintains a clear complexion as she stands at an average height for those of her ethnicity and gender, coming up to a grand height of five foot three inches while also weighing in at an average of one hundred and thirteen pounds. Her overall build makes her appear to be on the smaller, slimmer, and admittedly harmless side of things, though underestimating her would likely be a grave mistake if you either anger her or tease her enough to the point of retaliation, as she does have a good amount of muscle hidden to the naked eye that has been built up through years of both Taekwondo and dance alike. Although she enjoys to have her hair long and flowing for the most part, she tends to tie the longer portions of it within tightly-bound and neat braids on either side of her face, while the remainder of her hair is left as it is and allowed to freely remain loose within its more or less natural volume and bounce. Its natural coloring is of a dark brown - seemingly black unless caught within the correct lighting angles - but she dyes it a lot, with the most common color being white- much like her brother. She has bangs that are long enough to cascade over her eyes to some degree. Said eyes are of a naturally narrowed shape due to her primarily Asian blood, and are blue like her older brother, Taeseung. However, rather than hosting a pair that are a cross between a shining aquamarine and cyan, her eyes hold a coloring closer to the traditional blue, and are bold and more accurate to be described as navy or royal blue.
All in all, Jiyeon’s normal attire is on the lighter side for the most part, though, regardless of this fact, there are still a lot of things to take note of when describing it. For starters, she has been known to wear a single shortsleeved shirt with hip-hop inspired designs - if there are any designs at all - as a first layer upon the upper body, with nothing more than an opened and sleeveless croptop hoodie over it. Should the weather be cool or possibly even windy enough, then the dress shirt will often be replaced by some type of slightly baggier, hip-hop designed sweatshirt, with a zippered hoodie laying atop it. Whether it remains opened or closed would depend on the intensity of the weather or if she were cold- which she appears to be prone to being a lot of the time, even in slightly chilly yet tolerable weather. Her favorite tie will always remain loosely yet neatly made and will hang around her neck unless faced with cooler weather. In that case, then said tie will be replaced by her favorite infinity scarf. No matter the weather, however, she can always be see wearing a duo of arm warmers that also double as gloves on either one of her forearms.
As for the lower body wear, her style tends to come with a skirt more times than not, with a pair of short shorts beneath it for safety measures. Should the weather be cold enough in her opinion, then these two articles of clothing will likely be replaced by a pair of skinny jeans. Often times, there will be some type of flannel or some other solidly-colored, collared, and button up dress shirt tied around her waist, though its arms will likely be tucked underneath the bottom hem of her first shirt. While this dress shirt tends to be more for fashion and personal aesthetic, she does tend to use it when the temperature drops even the slightest bit, due to the fact that she doesn’t quite handle cooler weather too well. Moving downwards, she would be seen wearing a pair of socks that reach midway up her thighs if she was her skirt, while she would also be wearing a pair of athletic shoes that are most likely a bit on the flatter side as far as build goes.
When working at her family’s primary restaurant, the Ionic Serenade, she doesn’t go in within her normal attire, of course. In the scenario that she is working, then she will be caught wearing the restaurant’s female variation of the uniform: an admittedly maid-like outfit.

PERSONALITY
In countless ways, Jiyeon’s own personality strongly reflects and represents that of her father and brother, Jihyuk and Taeseung. With a natural knack for being social and skillfully being able to spark a conversation and keep it going, she is extremely similar to her older sibling as far as charisma and overall energy goes. Much like him, she often wears a smile on her face as she goes out into the world to see what it has to offer day after day, and it’s often hard to drive her common, happy-go-lucky demeanor aside as she openly and gladly introduces herself by either her birthname or Chroma, which was the stage name she was supposed to inherit in the group she was to debut in over in South Korea as a result of her (by now) controlled and semi-voluntary chromesthesia. Contrasting greatly to what the stereotypes for the rich and fabulous have apparently been brought up to be throughout the years, Jiyeon is a young, kind soul who is pretty much always willing to lend others a hand and a piece of advice if they need or ask for it, and can often be caught teasing and flirting with others in a joking manner if she’s in the correct mood. Being the child of a wealthy and rather successful family, she also exhibits and strong and ongoing sense of pride in her family name, as well as their and her own capabilities, though remains humble all the same, despite it. Rarely would she go out of her way to praise herself in an overly unneeded manner, as she would very much be the one praising others in order to see them glad and delighted.
Despite having a generally caring and all around upbeat persona, however, she does seem to appear to be the type that comes on a little too hard. Mix that factor with her slightly tomboyish nature, as well as her common competitiveness and “I-won’t-back-down” type of attitude, and one may find themselves in a heated rivalry or bind with her in many cases. In many senses, she’s much like a guy on the surface. With a type of behavior that is seemingly more focused on progressing on and moving forward without too much of a thought afterwards or in the process of things, she may or may not be labeled as a spirited, yet somewhat rash type of girl that tends to defy the very idea of taking things slow and thinking about matters in most instances. To her, life is about the experiences, and, in order to get to said experiences, she has been known to be prone to speeding through a lot of matters in such a way that is actually somewhat smooth and efficient in most scenarios, but is admittedly rushed, likely making it possible for her ideals to clash with those who are more “down-to-earth” and “safe and logical” types of thinkers.
This doesn’t go to say that her personality is more like a guy’s through and through, however. With Taeseung as her primary influence, many of her interests and mannerisms do, indeed, reflect his own- but this doesn’t go to say that she has no traces of her own, feminine nature in the long run, as well. Although it tends to be a bit more harder to pry such qualities out of her, she really does have a vastly and strongly intuitive demeanor to her being, and doesn’t really mind thinking carefully about certain manners if they’re serious enough or if they’re legitimately worth a second or even third thought. While she may seem confident and spontaneous on the outside, the truth of the matter is that she is actually rather insecure and soft-hearted, regardless of her tough and positive surface nature. This side of her is pretty hard to catch, though, and would only ever have at least a slight base chance of being shown to another if she considered the people in subject extremely close to her, or if, for whatever reason, she was caught within a more vulnerable, emotional, and(or) stressed status. If caught in this state, then she will likely be more likely to being a little bit more sappy, soft, and possibly even more openly embarrassed and flustered.

BIOGRAPHY
Anyoung haseyo! Mannaseo bangapseumida~!
Hehe...yeah, hi, there. So you wanted to find out more about me, huh? Wow...so this is like an interview, then. Geez, I can’t remember the last time something like this happened, to be honest. Probably would’ve at least been a few years ago when I still lived back in Korea…
Aaaah… Okay, well, back to that a bit later, though! I mean, I’m sure you came here to listen to me ramble about stuff since you wanna hear more about me, but I’ll try my best to at least make it tolerable and whatnot by going through things in order~. Let’s see…
Well, let’s start with the basics, then~! My name, of course, is Jiyeon Kyon. Born on April 13th, making me an Aries as far as starsigns go… My mom and dad run their own company, and are both known as Vivian Arcken and Jihyuk Kyon respectively- although Dad tends to go by Jason to make things easier for the people who can’t really get a good feel for Korean accents and whatnot~! Between the two of them, they had a total of three kids, with me being the middle one. The eldest is our brother, Taeseung, who’s seventeen at the moment, and then there’s Minseo, our youngest sister, at fifteen. Just like our father, we were born in Seoul, Korea. But! Despite being born there, not only are we Korean citizens, but we’re also citizens of America, too! See, Dad isn’t really the one responsible for the American citizenship, though. Mom is. Mom was born and raised in the Boracay in the Philippines with her own parents and siblings when she was younger, but she moved to America earlier on in her life and became a citizen there with her family when they revoked their own citizenships in hopes of starting a new life- or so that part of the story goes, at least. She and Dad apparently met during middle school since our grandparents from Dad’s side had him study abroad for a few years before he got his own American citizenship in order to submerge himself in the mixed cultures there while learning more about business from our other relatives there, and, above all, to learn English a bit easier. Supposedly, their first meeting and encounters were a bit awkward since Dad wasn’t nearly as good at English as he is now, but that was the main link that brought them together. Mom was nice enough to tutor Dad, and, in the process, Dad kinda taught her about business and management and all that jazz in their free time; something that Mom apparently took a shine to, which is how she ended up becoming Dad’s right-hand-... Er...well, his right-hand woman in the company they run today. Despite how close they were, though, they apparently stayed best friends up until Dad’s senior year - which was Mom’s junior, since there’s a year difference between them - which was when they finally decided to give a legit relationship a try, which was apparently just a joke to begin with, actually, and-...
…
Rambling. Shit.
Okay, okay… Back on track, back on track. I’ll get further into Mom and Dad’s little love story sometime later in the future~. But, yeah. We got out Korean citizenships through being born in South Korea, and our American citizenships came from...I guess both Mom and Dad, then. Later down the line, Mom applied for dual citizenship in both the US and Korea for sake of making things easier between her and Dad as far as visits went. Taeseung, Minseo, and I were all born within the same, multi-year span of time that Mom and Dad spent back in Korea, just after taking their normal trip back to their home in the USA. After the three of us were born, Dad wasn’t quite the one in control of his family’s company - Ion Industries - just yet, so he had a little more leniency to look after us before then. Because of that, he and Mom stayed with us in Seoul up until I was around seven years old or so. Then, they decided that it was finally time to take us to America to make up for the time that they and we had missed.
Let me make things clear, though. If you compared younger me to the me that’s talking to right now, you’d never even believe that we were the same person if I wasn’t telling that to you for myself right here and now. Back then, I was hella shy. Like, I legit couldn’t function in social scenarios. I really wanted to, but no matter how hard I tried, I always ended up caving in on myself not because of a lack of English knowledge - which was basically nulled from the start since both Mom and Dad taught us English and Korean from the get-go, with a side of Tagalog, too - but from insecurity and a lack of confidence, so you probably would’ve caught me being that one, quiet observer most of the time. I was actually a lot like how Minseo is today, now that I think about it, but that thankfully changed since Tae managed to get me out of my shell after a year or two in America. It took a lot of insisting and persistence on his part, but he somehow managed to pry me from my shyness. In the long run, I ended up eventually following after his example, and...well, that led to the me you see now. I was a complete mess when I was around eight or so, but by the time I was ten, I was getting to the level of “social butterfly” that Taeseung was at, which made social interactions a lot easier for me. In addition to teaching me how to get along with others, though, he also introduced me to his own friend circles to give me an extra little push. I bonded with his American friends for maybe a year or two more until I turned twelve.
At that point, I actually moved back to Seoul while the rest of my direct family was still in the US. Why, you may ask? Well, for a pretty common and well-wanted reason in Korea.
I wanted to take a crack at idol life.
See, being born and raised through childhood in South Korea, it’s pretty much a given that I was submerged in Korean culture and music alike. That being said, I basically and admittedly became obsessed with the idea of living life on stage and touring around Korea and the world in general. Around that time, I thought about it a little bit too much, but, since I already had a fair amount of experience in both music and dance in general, I decided to give it a try. It took a little bit of convincing with Mom and Dad since that was around the same time that Ion Industries was beginning to slowly transfer into their control, but I managed to get the okay to fly back to Korea and live with a few of our relatives abroad while I tried to make my childhood dreams come true.
And you know what the most shocking part of it was to me?
When I got there, I decided to keep sharpening my skills for one more year, and a little bit after I turned thirteen, I actually got accepted as a trainee. At the time, I was just overall extremely happy and really hyped to have actually gotten a chance, but, after talking it out with my family over a couple of international calls, we all decided that I would just go for the two-year contract to test the waters and see if everything was how I imagined it to be. Let me tell you though… It may be to some others, but I found out that that wasn’t really the case for me after just a year. Honestly, my experiences as a trainee were hella fun, but, like… I realized something; specifically why people always say that it’s hard to become an idol. For one thing, the practice and training is really rigorous and constant. If you started young like I did, your schedule was pretty much set and didn’t really have much time for rest and rejuvenation. Your schedule would probably consist of you waking up at, like, six in the morning. You’d go do your normal hygiene stuff before heading off to school, and then immediately launching yourself into hours of both vocal and dance practice as soon as you got out. Only had an average of one hour of free time for yourself, but that time was mostly spent practicing a bit more or doing your homework from school. So, like...the typical average sleep time that a trainee got was roughly four to six hours tops; something I could easily admittedly handle now, but it was just too much for me at the time.
It was fun at first, but not the life for me, especially with all the restrictions and crap. That, and since we had to train in Korea, I basically had little to no chance at all to see my family, even when they took a visit from the US. I originally continued on with my debut group despite that, though. By then, my I'd recognized my first power, and because of the fact that I actually have semi-voluntary chromesthesia, my stage name was Chroma at the time. I debuted at fifteen with a few other friends and trainees, and the five us us in total made a group called Synesthesia, since, like...we were supposed to have a lowkey thing going with the five senses. We made some songs; went on some tours. After my first year, though, it got a bit more tiring after I actually tested the waters, so I signed off my contract and just settled for going back to Taeseung and the others a little after I turned sixteen a little earlier this year, even though it was a really big hassle and stuff. From there, I just continued my life pretty much where I had left it off and got myself back on track in America, buuuut I had to readjust again since a lot of stuff had obviously changed over the time I’d been gone. Tae grew up. Mina did, too. Hell..even I grew up. But...things between us are still the same for the most part. Except, um... For-... ...Maybe...for one small detail.
...I-... I’m...only telling this to you to give you the information and whatnot.
...It’s something I haven’t even told my parents or my siblings, and something they can’t know about. Especially Tae, since-... Since...he’d...just go haywire. A-And then Mom and Dad would hear about it… They’d contact my old managers, a-and my old group members, a-and-...
…
...Mmkay. S-Sorry. I know, I need to get myself together. Um...
W-Well...really...to make matters short...my manager tried taking advantage of me a couple of times here and there. He actually managed to do it a few times. He always seemed like a nice guy when I first met him. Really organized. Treated me and the rest of Synesthesia really well, even under our tight schedules and stuff. It was almost like he was a second father to us to make up for how we couldn't see our families too much anymore. But...then I found out about some other intentions of his. It was at a small gathering and party after a big event. A lot of the other groups that had just debuted were there, too. Everyone was having interviews. Talking. Dancing. Basically...just having a pretty good time in general, honestly.
Our manager called me to the sidelines since he wanted to discuss something about the performance and whatnot. It was a normal thing that happened every so often since I was the leader at the time, so I just went along with it since I thought it was nothing as usual. But...well...I was really wrong. It was the first time among, like...a lot that he did things. Y'know...things that you could probably easily assume.
Things...that...I'd rather not expand more on.
He told me to keep quiet since he had connections, and because I was scared and shaken, I just...did. Because of it, he did it a few more times. Some times I managed to get off the hook since other people were around, but others...i-it...just-... I-I wasn't so lucky. L-Let's just leave it at that.
Those specific encounters with my manager only ended up happening around the third quarter of my time after I'd officially debuted. From what I know, he never approached any of my other members like that. No one else knew about it since it was kept an obvious secret, and...because I was basically scared for what he'd do if I told anyone. That being said, I just had enough. The stage was nice, but...the schedules were overwhelming. The behind-the-scenes harassment and confrontations by my manager even more so. So...I took the next best thing.
Resignation.
It was a complicated thing to do, but...I managed to get out of idol life. My family got word of it, and by the time I'd been released from my company, they were there to greet me with open arms. It was a really nice change, really. They...spent a few days with me in Seoul. We caught up. Went to shops. Restaurants. I finally got to see them and both my older brother and younger sister again for the first time in the longest time. After our stay...I gathered my things and moved back with them and over to Silver Falls since Tae had apparently begun attending the academy there - the same one that I'm actually about to move to, myself - after getting some powers. It was something that surprised me, but at the same time, it was a relief to me since I knew I was in the same boat. While I was still in Synesthesia, I accidentally uncovered my Sonokinesis. Only my other members and my manager noticed, but after I was able to get it under control, I had to keep it hidden. It was the same case with my illusions, but I managed to keep those hidden from everyone else after I discovered them. ...I guess that's kinda besides the point, now, though.
Anyways, though... Since then, I’ve basically just been catching up on lost time with my two favorite siblings, and have also been reintroduced to the general social circles that I left for Korea back then. Alongside that, I maaaaay have gotten myself into a few sneak-ins to clubs, with the exception of our club, Cloud Nine. Honestly, Tae introduced me to them as soon as I got back. The minute he saw me, he didn’t shut up about them, and I had a fake ID and found myself in strobe lights and a room that literally vibrated with some intense bass before I know it. It was shocking at first, but...truth be told, I preferred it to what would have happened if I had stayed in Korea.
I mean...I personally don’t see that much to hate about it. You can act on your own record and without a set schedule… Party and joke around if you wanted to…
...And...in my case, you could just perform whenever you wanted to at your family’s club.
I didn’t really fully realize it until last year or even sometime this year, but, like… I’d probably actually prefer this type of life over idol life any day.
...For...admittedly and obviously a few major reasons, among others.
