[nospaces] [attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ She loved the evenings, the dusk. [break][break] Bright blue eyes reflected off the glare of the bright sun setting on the horizon, her pale pink hair flowed behind her back and down just over her own waist. Nothing but yellow cardigan over her shoulders and black tights to go along with it. A pink scarf wrapped loosely and hung around her neck, hoping to hug and maintain her warmth in this autumn chill. "Phew.." Her lips curled into a smile as she stood before the fountain. The folds in waves swayed to the breeze that blew on by, all glimmering and nice while the sky's reflection gave the impression of the water shimmering these bright, warm colours. [break][break] The majority of people are either returning from work, or the students were headed back for dinner of sorts. Amelia had finished up all that she needed, and thought that maybe it would be a nice time for a walk to the Fountain itself. Things were quiet as always, not that she was complaining. She straightened out her back to let the air flow through her lungs freely as she took a deep and satisfying breath of fresh air.. Ahh. Alright, that was nice. Now then.. She came out here for a nice reason, unlike the few delinquencies who thought that it would be a good idea to go messing with the tower and etc. Jeez.. No respect for the city what so ever. But, she digressed. [break][break] Her slender figure leaned over the rim of the marble surface, looking down at her ever-changing reflection with an indifferent expression on her face. What was it that the town folk said about this.. This fountain could grant wishes, right? She couldn't help but to giggle softly at the notion, even going so far as to lean a bit closer to the liquid. It was things like these that piqued her interest, and it's also this tranquility that put her at ease. Hey, at least she was away from her parents. [break][break] But now she was alone, and insanely bored. Her eyes shifted back in the direction of the sunset, and she scooted back a little bit more on the fountain. Unfortunately, she hadn't been paying attention to how close she was to the ledge and found her behind slipping off the ledge of the marble side. [break][break] Her eyes widened as she started falling back, and, well, she splashed right into it. "Waah!" She let out a quick and high pitched squeak, up until she finally hit it. The chilling water soaked her to the bone as she sat there, legs resting on the side as her entire upper body hit the water below. Quickly, she sat herself up in the fountain that luckily hadn't hit her head or injured her badly in any way. But damn.. It was cold now! Great job Amelia, great fluffing job. |

"So why exactly did you want to come out here?" "I already told you Jax, you know I hate repeating myself."
The blonde male could only sigh at the blonde female figure next to him. Of course Sage was far from being an actual female, but no one else actually knew that. Anyone would think he was. The way he spoke, the way he looked, the way he held himself and walked, everything about him was female except his DNA. Usually Sage did his own thing, bossing whoever was following him around at the time. Jax supposed he was the unluck victim this time, though he didn't particularly mind since it was his brother.
Finally they came to a stop in front of a little stand that was selling ice cream. "One banana, vanilla swirl please!" Sage chirped happily as Jaxon could only sigh again. Brushing some hair from his face his honey colored eyes stared at his brother in disbelief. "You dragged me out here for some ice cream?" Sage just stuck his tongue out and pouted, "I'll have you know that the atmosphere makes it all the better." Jaxon just rolled his eyes and gestured toward the fountain where a girl seemed to be loitering. "I'll meet you over there then."
The blonde male had just made his way toward the fountain and was just about there, when he heard a squeal like noise followed by a subtle splash. It seemed the girl he had noticed earlier went for a swim in the fountain. Walking up to the edge, Jax held his hand out toward her and eyebrow raised. "You alright?" He couldn't help but smirk, "I'm pretty sure they have swimming pools if you felt like taking a dip." Okay so maybe he shouldn't have poked fun at her while she was down, but it was kind of funny.

[nospaces] [attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ Ugh. [break][break] That was the only word that ran through the pink-haired female's mind right about now. Much as she loved the chilling weather and the scenery, just the view of a woman getting herself drenched in the fountain was anything but a pleasant sight unless you found some form of humour in the turn of events. She was soaked from head to knees, her hands were getting even more wet as the gloved flesh was used to hold herself in this awkward sitting position she found herself in. There's no way that she's be able to get up on her own without getting even more soaked than she already was. "Just great.." She mumbled to herself. Now she felt soggy and gross.. [break][break] Her attention was diverted from her pitiful situation and up to the male that offered to help her out of this mess. At that moment, he seemed like some benevolent figure who was actually willing to help rather than laugh at her misery. Awesome, the world needs more people like that-- Oh wait. No. She stood corrected. Though she wouldn't have held him at an as high regard, she couldn't deny that she probably would have found her own mistake here comedic. Rather than frowning, Amelia could only smile weakly as she reached up a soaked glove, however hadn't grabbed onto his hand yet. Bright blue eyes narrowed to the side for a moment while a hue of pink brushed themselves over her face in embarrassment. No, not because some guy approached her. Because she was kind of in a really childish and clumsy position. In public. "Erk.. Hey, in my defence, the edge is slippery." She mumbled out. Yeah, not a very good excuse. [break][break] She paused, looked at her hand, and then pulled the glove off so that he wouldn't have to be grabbing some squishy and wet piece of cloth. That would feel.. Pretty unpleasant if anything. Keeping herself up, she took one glove off her hand to grab hold of his - cold from the water. Much as she appreciated the help.. Well, she actually hesitated for a moment before accepting it. But, again. She was in the position where she was kind of obligated to accept it. Even if he teased her for a bit. [break][break] Af her hand grasped onto his, her expression slowly softened into a brighter smile while her eyes traced up to meet his. "But, yeah. I'm alright, thanks." [break][break] Hold the phone. She's felt like she's seen him before.. Where? Maybe passed by? In that one coffee shop she went to that other day? Maybe in school? I mean, he didn't look all that older or younger than her, but damn, he towered her - especially when he was looking down at her in the fountain. It felt like he loomed over her. But still.. It bugged her. "Have we met before?" Furrowing her brow as she asked such an odd question, Amelia started thinking about possible places she could have seen him. Seriously, she's sworn that she's seen him before.. But where.. Where.. |

Jaxon was about ready to apologize when the girl hesitated to take his hand, though she moved to remove her glove first. Maybe it was alright? Of course as she mentioned in her defence it was slippery, Jax offered a chuckle and nodded his head. She wasn't wrong, he was sure it was slippery indeed. Thankfully he didn't seem to upset her too much with his terrible timed joke as she did eventually take his hand and even came to smile at him, even mentioning that she was alright.
The blonde returned the smile, but taken note to the fact that she was now staring at him. He raised an eyebrow at that, though he soon found out why. He looked familiar. He gave another short laugh and nodded his head, "I believe we go to the same school." He mentioned. It was a huge school so it wasn't surprising that people ran into each other without actually knowing each other, but Jax happened to be fairly good at remembering faces even if he hadn't actually interacted with the person before.
His honey colored eyes looked over the soaking wet female for a moment before he seemed to have realized something. "Ah, here..." He mentioned as he moved to take his own jacket off. Once removed, he shook it off a bit before stepping closer to the girl and placing his arms around, just to place the jacket on her shoulders. "I'm sure you're freezing, you can hang onto that until you can get some dry clothes." He mentioned with a smile as he took a step back again.
By now his brother had come walking up, the blonde eyeing this girl up as he came up to his brother. Of course this girl would have no idea that Sage was actually a boy unless she was psychic, but he liked it that way. " I leave you alone for one minute and you're already making trouble to pretty girls?" Sage pouted toward her brother, who just shook his head. "You have it twisted, I was helping a beautiful girl out. Not making trouble." He laughed a bit as Sage poked at his brother's chest, "Won't you be cold without your jacket?" Jax knew Sage well enough to know that he was mentioning it on purpose in front of this girl, but he simply flicked the other blonde's forehead, "I'll live, Sage." His attention returned to the female and he smiled, "So what year are you in? I'm in my fourth year, which could be why I look familiar. Sage is in First." He mentioned gesturing toward the other.
He gasped in as if realizing something once again, before he gave a curteous bow, "I'm sorry... I've been rude, I'm Jaxon Bordeaux. You can call me Jax though. And this is Sage." The blue eyed blonde simply gave a half wave as he continued to eat his ice cream, obviously judging the poor girl and trying to decide if she was a threat or not.

[nospaces] [attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ The strawberry haired female continued to ponder over where exactly she had seen him before. Blonde hair, tall, fairly attractive.. She could have sworn that she's seen him somewhere. The issue was recalling.. Certainly he looked like someone who could get into modelling, but he didn't seem like the type to be all too interested in that. Or she could be totally wrong and he could have an interest, but not join it. Argh.. She knew that she had seen him before. While she was the type of person to easily forget a name to a face, she was certainly not the type of person to have so much trouble trying to remember a name - especially when she felt so strongly about knowing the subject in question. [break][break] Ah, he found her staring creepy, didn't he? That was her bad on that end, but she couldn't help it. When she asked her question, the response she got was a rather light-hearted one that easily eased her suspicion of coming off as creepy. His reply also narrowed down the possible places she could have seen him, and really the only schools in this area were the high school for the gifted and the local high school that was quite a bit away. Amelia nodded her head in understanding once she pieced the puzzle together, seemingly content with finally having an answer to tie up any loose knots. Her eyes brightened up somewhat as she nodded her head. "Right. Okay, that makes more sense." She smiled. [break][break] The wind blew right up against her skin, prompting a shiver from the recently soaking fall into the fountain. By the gods was she lucky that it wasn't winter yet, because the odds are that she would have turned into a popsicle by now if it weren't for her somewhat warm clothing, and dry lower body. Well.. Dry until a few minutes. Gravity would be making quick work of the stale dryness at her feet, so she would only be having a small window of bliss before her legs started freezing too. Before she knew it, the male had reached behind to rest the jacket on her shoulders. For a minute there, Amelia was completely speechless from this act and - though grateful - didn't look all too happy with that. Wasn't he going to get cold? [break][break] He put the distance between them again, only this time there was something like a smaller female running up to the duo. She nearly scolded the blonde who was trying to help the poor, pink haired girl who was too clumsy earlier, and had intended on explaining the situation. But, of course, the most she could do was back up the male's claim with a nod. "It's fine, he was helping me." She said with a smile. That expression however, faded upon mentioning that he was going to get cold in this weather - a claim that the male shrugged off with a simple claim. Ah.. But her own clothing would have made it even more wet by now. Fingers grasped around the edge of the coat gently as she contemplated what exactly she should do.. Ugh. Best to just accept it.. You wouldn't want him wearing a wet jacket now. [break][break] Just as she was about to answer his question, she paused at his sudden realization to let him speak. Oh, it as just an introduction-- JAXON. RIGHT. NOW SHE REMEMBERED. He was fairly popular in school from what she knew, mainly known for his good nature and looks. A couple of people she knew have talked about him, through frankly, Amelia herself couldn't care any less about the people around her -- Not in the tactless way, of course. Jax, she knew of. Sage.. Not so much. But to get into the same school, she was slightly intrigued to hear what type of ability these two shared. [break][break] It was there where she snapped back to reality. She waved gently in return with a smile on her face, shaking her head. "No, it's alright!" She attempted to reassure him. "My name's Amelia; Amelia Nightingale. It's nice to meet you both." She smiled, hoping that it could erm.. Lighten the mood a little. She was a model for pete's sake; she knew when people were judging her. They just let off that intimidating vibe, one of which she was all too familiar with. But hey, after all these years, she knows how to act under pressure. With that, she held up a hand with four fingers held outwards, a grin on her face. "I'm in my fourth year as well, so that's probably why you seemed familiar." Well duh. Of course it was. [break][break] The casual talk was all nice and dandy, but she was still curious as to what type of abilities these two had. Possibly because she always felt like a freak of nature (literally) and just found it interesting to find other people with unique abilities here and there. Her eyes held a gleam of curiosity as she looked to the both of them. "Sorry if it sounds like I'm intruding but.." She started, slowly leaning in to get closer to the both of them - an earshot. "What abilities do you two have?" She was a curious girl, alright? They were free to answer, but they were also free to decline. There were very few people in this area at the moment; barely, actually, so she thought that it would be pretty safe to ask. |

"Amelia." Jaxon repeated, mostly because that would help him to remember it better. Not that he would forget a pretty girl. His brother lightly whacked his arm, obviously knowing what the older male had been thinking. "Yeah, I'm sure we have seen each other in the halls." Jax mentioned with a smile at her remark of him being familiar because they were both fourth years. Of course the conversation shifted though when she asked them what abilities they had. Sage of course looked less than pleased about the question. He huffed and crossed his arms under his fake breasts.
Jaxon just laughed a bit at his brother pouting. "Don't mind Sage." He mentioned gesturing toward the smaller blonde. "It's perfectly alright." The taller blonde mentioned before glancing around a bit. "Actually..." He mentioned, once again stepping closer to her and closing the gap between them. Within moments Jax's hands began to glow a bit, a heat radiating off of them as they did. He didn't do this for very long though before Sage nudged him, "Don't be stupid." The smaller blonde mentioned with a humph shortly after. Jax just laughed, though he pointed out the spot on Amelia's shirt that was near his hands. "I could technically dry you off." Sage just rolled his eyes, "Yeah he's a giant, walking dryer and flashlight."
Jaxon of course shot his brother a playful glare. "I have Heliokinesis. I also heal quickly." Jerking a thumb toward Sage he added on, "Don't think anything too private around this one. Sage is also an ice queen. Literally." Sage of course once again gave a huffing noise, pouting at the fact he hadn't actually given Jax permission to just give away his powers like that. The older blonde ignored it though considering it was his brother's normal behavior around females. It wasn't that anything was wrong with Amelia, Sage was just often jealous of females. Still the blonde focused on the girl before, "And yourself? I mean, since we are sharing aren't we." He gave a rather charming smile, not that he expected that to seal the deal on her sharing in return.

[nospaces] [attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ It took a load off of her shoulders by hearing that he agreed that they probably saw the other in the halls sometime. Her smile broadened at the possibility, only nodding her head in response. However, she could clearly see that the female next to him was less than impressed with the raised question. Ahh.. She was getting antsy now. Amelia only kept her smile on her face as she slowly reached back down to a soaked glove, intending to cover it up before she could accidentally harm herself. Not even she was safe from her own ability, after all. [break][break] Amelia tried to slip her hand back in, however her hand got stuck due to the suctioning effect that the water gave the glove. She felt the squishy and soggy cloth, internally loathing the feeling before finally giving up and squeezing the water out with her other hand. Why couldn't she have water manipulation? That would be so much easier on herself.. So much easier.. Ah.. Jeez. Now wasn't the time to be feeling bad for herself. She was in front of two people, her best bet was to keep them entertained while having a fun time herself. Thank the gods that Jax reassured that he would be perfectly fine with showing his own ability, and showed her by physically approaching her. [break][break] Whereas she was tempted to step back due to sheer instinct, reaction, and proximity circle, she stayed where she stood and found his hand glowing a warm and soothing light - like the warmth of sunshine. The heat was openly welcomed by Amelia, who visibly relaxed from the heat. It felt.. Really nice, actually. She felt like she could stand there for quite a while, and was quietly disappointed when he stopped shortly afterwords. While she was enjoying the heat, she hadn't noticed that he actually ended up drying her quite a bit, to the extent where a look of surprise was visible on her expression when she traced down to the dry portion of her shirt. "Huh.." She released a low hum, even listening to the comment on being a walking flashlight or heater. Hey, it was useful when it was late or when it was just too cold. [break][break] "It's a nice ability." It was useful, looked generally harmless, and probably did more good than bad unlike someone's she knew. As her smile slowly slipped into that of a sly grin, she added to that comment. "A ray of sunshine, if I might add." Ahh.. Amelia, why. That was terrible. She probably internally cringed at how horrible it was, but she couldn't help it okay? [break][break] Based off Jax's implication on Sage, she assumed that this girl had something to do with the cold - opposite to Jax, perhaps? They both somewhat resembled each other.. So maybe they were siblings? eheh.. Wouldn't wanna go assuming things. Oh the number of times she had mistaken couples for siblings and vise versa.. More often than she would have liked to think. But hey, it was good to see them both like that. Cute. [break][break] Things were going smooth.. That is, until she heard the question being returned. The pink-haired female visibly grimaced at it, just thinking about using her ability to show it because it was just so much easier to show rather than explain. But then what could she use it on? She'd feel absolutely terrible if she were to use it on a person, because that's actually nearly traumatizing. Just the thought sent shivers up her spine.. [break][break] But then surprise, surprise! There was a fluffy little critter running on by, not too far from the trio. Amelia gave them both a weak smile as she held a finger up. "Alright, alright. I'll need a volunteer though. Gimme a moment." She said with a hesitant chime. The female made off towards the fluffy squirrel, and quickly scooped it up to hold in her arms. It tried to run, but she was cradling it and.. Well.. It was probably too surprised and shocked from suddenly being grabbed. "Shh.." She leaned her head down to whisper to the poor test subject here. Just to.. You know, calm it down. After a couple of pats from the head to the tail, she brought it over to the duo with a small, and somewhat pitying face. [break][break] Alright.. Just don't kill it. All you gotta do is now ill it.. Easy, right? Okay. After a long pause, she gently gripped onto the tail of the squirrel, but then loosened her grip to brush over the hairs for fur. Her hand moved upwards, however as she did so, her hand started to glow a faint green in colour, only to completely corrode the hair that it brushed over. She was doing this slowly of course, and it didn't even look like anything was burning. The hair was just.. Corroding under her fingers. She was careful not to touch the skin of the squirrel. Oh god, how careful she was. She as just lucky that it wasn't moving. [break][break] Oops, too early. [break][break] The small creature jolted up and flicked it's tail, slapping at her hand. It didn't hurt her much as it hurt itself, as now a thin layer of it's skin that touched the inside of her hand had burned off. "Shit!" She absentmindedly swore to herself as she watched the squirrel squirm. The animal panicked again, now wriggling around in desperation to be released. Amelia, surprised, quickly let go of nearly hairless-tailed squirrel to watch it wander back into the trees - it's own safe habitat. Ahh.. So much for that. Gods.. The guilt started welling up in her stomach and, if she didn't know any better, she would have clutched it. But hey, she was still around people. The poor girl forced a weak smile on her face, hoping to recover quickly from that. "Erk.. Not the best demonstration.. But I have Biokinesis. As you can see, I do more bad than I do good.." Her bright blue eyes narrowed to the ground for a brief moment. "Asides from that, I can call up the dead. Necromancy." She continued. Yeah, not very nice abilities to have.. Ugh. Why couldn't it just be something harmless? [break][break] Hell no was she just going to say 'Yeah, I can just burn off your flesh and call up zombies! Nothing dangerous!'. Psh.. |

Even Sage had to look with interest when Amelia excused herself to go grab a squirrel. Jax had been intently watching the girl wondering what she could be possibly doing with the rodent as she began to pet it in an attempt to soothe it. All seemed normal enough at least until her hand started to glow a sickly green color. Jaxon made a surprised sound as the hairs on the squirrel started to come off.
Of course the squirrel was less than pleased squirming around until the touched the girl's hand causing the flesh to sear off. Sage looked rather impressed, now smiling toward the girl instead of judging her. Amelia released the animal as it only squirmed more before she gave a weak smile to the two. "Well aren't you full of surprises." Sage mentioned before Jaxon nudged his brother a bit. "Well, you could do good too... If you used your powers at the right times." Jax mentioned, though the blonde was unsure if necromancy would ever really have a 'good time' to use, but the other thing she did could.
"You could easily remove flesh that was infected and ran risk to the person. Or you would be good for self defense if someone attacked." Those were good things right? Well, Jaxon was trying to make the girl feel a bit better about it. It was obvious enough to him that she didn't seem so thrilled about it but Sage on the other hand was completely aware of it. He snickered a bit, "No need to be so down about it." Jaxon sighed and shook his head. "Sage, don't be invasive." Sage of course just stuck his tongue out, looking to his melting ice cream. With a breath, his ice cream instantly stopped melting before he focused his blue eyes on the girl. "So that's why you wear gloves huh? I thought it was a bit weird." Sage mentioned, though that only earned him another nudge from Jaxon. "Seriously, it's okay if you want to ignore Sage completely."
The blonde gave her a friendly smile and looked her over, "Oh right! I'm sure you wanna get out of those wet clothes. I can walk you back to school? Or we can go somewhere more private and I can dry you off." He took him a few minutes, but with Sage's burst of laughter it wasn't too long before the taller blonde was blushing profusely, "Uh... I mean, not like that of course! I mean I didn't actually mean anything by that... I just meant because of my ability you know, but not here because people.... And... I am so sorry." All he could do now was bow politely. Jaxon was normally quite a gentleman, and he really meant nothing by what he had said, but he was still entirely embarrassed at his own words.

[nospaces] [attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ Clear in their eyes - both surprise and even a hint of.. Well, they certainly didn't see that coming. Amelia herself never found joy per say in showcasing her ability, but seeing that there was no one else in the area, she thought that maybe she could just do something harmless to the dead cells on a squirrel's tail. Clearly, she wasn't thinking straight because such an attempt ended with.. That result. She was anything but happy with that, although she had to shift herself from a self-pitying state and force her attention back onto the two people before her. [break][break] Jax looked surprised, but for one reason or another she seemed to have won over Sage after that. Whereas Jaxon was rather baffled, Sage seemed more than accepting of that ability even though the blonde tried to reassure that her ability could be used for good - contrary to her own belief. Her peachy lips curled up into a slightly more genuine smile at his attempt, only then to be brushed asides by her own thoughts. She wouldn't want to be rude and shoot down his attempt at cheering her up, nor did she want him to feel like it was in vain. [break][break] Necromancy.. Goodness. So many people have asked her to speak to the dead, to the spirits. In all honesty, she was probably traumatized by said power. Still, it would be nice if she could listen to one of the pros of Necromancy. Man, if only she took bio way back when. If she took biology, then maybe she could actually learn more (but of course, she never actually took interest in any of the sciences. Ears perked up as she listened to the male's suggestion, and even she had to hum in revelation that perhaps she could actually do a bit of good.. If she could control this better. Honestly.. This girl was completely oblivious to the notion that she could potentially save lives if she were to develop the ability. [break][break] Her gaze lowered at the comment on her gloves, of which her brightened smile dimmed just a tad to answer. "Ahah.. Yeah. People tend to tell me that." She nodded quietly, having to think on that for a moment. Gods, she felt like an Elsa having to wear gloves so that she wouldn't go haywire - like some cliche princess they show in the movies or whatever. irked her a bit, even made her cringe if she didn't know any better. The nervous laughter was able to perk up, seeing Jaxon suggest just downright ignoring the shorter female. It slowly escalated into a tad more genuine laughter. Man, those two seemed to have a pretty good relationship. That's always good to see. [break][break] Things will be perfectly fine. I mean, these two look nice enough, and they were kind enough to not just.. Leave her soaked in the water. that, and they weren't scared off by what she was doing so that said something, no? Jaxon began speaking again and Amelia had to pause for a second and register that. His words echoed in that hollow, thick head of hers until something in there clicked - which kind of led to her face quickly flushing a red or pink comparable to the hue of her hair. Going somewhere, in private, to dry off. Seeing that he was actually able to dry her off.. Man. Everything just came out the wrong way. "Uhm.. E-Excuse me?" [break][break] It wasn't until he actually started to explain himself where things cleared up, and yet that didn't save her from that rivalling blush on her face threatening to creep on her face. Gods, if he hadn't said anything earlier, then she probably would have tried just creeping away awkwardly. Granted, things had already turned awkward because of that. Ah.. Wouldn't want him feeling back because of that! "I got it, I got it.. Haha. It's alright, it gets the best of us.. And than you for the offer." I mean, she still had her gym clothing at the school so she could easily change into that and dry off her clothing. Still, she was probably going to take up that offer to dry her clothing. It's not every day where you could.. But you couldn't go asking him that right? Like, they just met today. [break][break] "I really appreciate it." She smiled at his offer, although she narrowed her bright azure eyes to the side for a moment. "Uhm.. I have my gym clothes at the school, but it'd be a great help if you could help dry my clothing a bit before I put them in the dryer." Hopefully, that would help lighten the mood a bit? Possibly? Maybe? I mean.. She still needed to return his coat. |
