I’m Still Breathing,
A playful wind rustled the leaves around the relaxation club rooms, it made the sun look like it was dancing about the ground of the inner courtyard. Joining natures show was a chorus of songbirds and the knock of the bamboo fountain every time the water had filled enough to cause it to drop. The sound combined with the dancing display was rather magnificent to see and hear, if one simply stopped to listen and look. Artemis was one such person, she had a free period this afternoon and felt the need to escape. Not being so familiar with the area outside of the school, this was the closest she could get to being on her own and with nature. It wasn’t like the girl wasn’t a city person for she enjoyed what a city could offer, but if she could get away to a place where she would be in nature she would gladly trade the city for it. To be honest, it was due to Artemis’s power that she found the escape wasn’t only relaxing but needed. Seeing the auras of those around her or negating anything that comes within a certain distance of her form was tiring and having a place to regenerate what felt like depleting energies was good.
It wasn’t that she didn’t have the energy per say, more like it was the mental exhaustion of having to ‘feel’ those around her. Being alone meant that her mind was clearer and she could focus on keeping her own sanity. Given sanity was something she had little of as of late, something about having to watch people die in front of you would do that to a person…
Shaking the thoughts that were vastly becoming a reoccurring nightmare she found her feet had taken her to a tea room towards the back of the club. It was a smaller room with a private garden view, something Artemis was pleasantly surprised to find. Most of the other rooms were part of the main garden in the center of the club so finding one so secluded and not in use was rather surprising. Thus, without further ado she entered and made a beeline to sit by the window.
Opening the bamboo door, she let the sounds of mother nature fill the room once more. Someone would bring her tea soon or so she was told but till then she closed her eyes and let her mind wander. Meditating was hard for her after everything she had been though but it was also the only thing that could ease her mind when she finally slipped into the trance.
