Emery didn’t understand.
She put herself in the downward-facing dog position and groaned, feeling her lack of flexibility kicking in. How was Yoga I a class? And it was only the first one – there was a Yoga II and Yoga III you could continue to take. She had seen the class and decided to sign up for it, initially thinking it would be a great way for her to relax. Emery had problems with that as of late, and it seemed like a wise choice at the time.
At the time being the keyword.
At this current moment, feeling her muscles straining to maintain the position, she wanted nothing more than to curl up on her bed and not move. Ever. Flexibility simply wasn’t in the cards for her.
Thankfully for her, the bell rung at that moment, causing the entire classroom to flop out of their stances and let out heavy sighs of relief. She was a bit more careful than the rest, gently lowering herself down before sitting back up in a regular seated position. Feeling her hair coming undone, Emery reached up and quickly redid her pigtails, fixing the blue ribbons back into place.
The blue ribbons seemed like an odd choice for her fair skin and bright red hair, but they were a gift from her mother. It was one of the last items she had from her, and so she cherished it dearly. Despite the torment that woman put her through, it if wasn’t for her she wouldn’t be here. She felt mixed emotions about the entire affair, one of the more prominent feelings being guilt. But that wasn’t what today was about. She had to stop focusing on the past.
Shaking her head, she slapped her cheeks lightly and brought herself back to focus. By this time around, most of the students seemed to have already left. Standing up, she stretched her body for a second to ease up her aching muscles before grabbing her bag off the floor, slinging it carefully over her shoulder. Time to head out.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Koda heard the bell ring as he just stared out the window. Classes were all but done now and everyone took their bags and exited the class room talking to their friends and what not. But Koda just stayed glancing at everyone...observing them. Then he stared out the window and day dreamed a bit. It was only a couple minuets later when the teacher asked if something was wrong.
Koda was brought back from his dream land, and responded with everything was fine as he swung his bag over his shoulder and exited the classroom. Once out of the room, Koda took off his jacket and flung it over his shoulder. As he rolled up his sleeves just past his elbows. He wasn't too big a fan of long sleeve shirts because they hide all of his tattoos he spent so much money on.
As he walked down the hall he started to whistle some of his favorite tunes. Like System of Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a couple other bands. Koda's life kinda revolve around music. It was one of the few things that brought some happiness to his life. And when you listen to it everyday, you tend to pick up the beats of your favorite song. So he was just walking whistling the beats of his favorite songs.
He was walking along when he noticed a girl walk out of classroom just in front of him. She had red hair and pigtails...really pigtails they are still around? he thought as he looked at the girl in front of him. But the thing he did notice about her was her aura. A light shade of red which usually meant annoyance and considering she just left the where the yoga people meet. He assumed it was her muscles. But there was another hue, a light light blue, which usually means distraction. Something was or had been on her mind...
He kept walking, closing the gap between himself and her. As he looked outside, he had nothing else to do today. And he was most likely going to waste the day away listing to music in his dorm staring at his ceiling. So why not have a little fun?
He closed the gap between the two as he stopped whistling and looked at her. "What do we have here hmm." he said as he looked at her waiting for the aura around her to change to either a dark green which meant fear, or a dark purple which meant disgust. Which were normal reactions because Koda did not have the most friendliest of appearance. So it was more expected her aura would shift to those colors...

Despite her continual struggle to understand yoga, Emery felt she gained something from the class. After all, it wasn’t every day she got the chance to exercise, and this was simply another form of it. Granted it focused on flexibility and patience – the latter she had plenty of, not so much of the former. Nevertheless, she was surprisingly getting along with her peers as of late. At least, in the sense that no one seemed bothered by her presence. It wasn’t as if she were making friends, but she wasn’t making enemies either.
All of a sudden, a taller boy appeared before her in her path. Startled, she took a step back and examined him, taking note of his dark hair, pale skin and…were those red eyes? They were. She felt a shiver go down her spine as he spoke “What do we have here hmm.” The way he said it was almost predatorial. She didn’t like the nature of his tone, but she had a tendency to not judge based on first appearances and tried focusing on that.
“H-hello,” she replied, cursing herself for sounding so meek. Emery wasn’t sure how else to respond. She didn’t know what the taller male wanted from her. Was he in her class, and she simply hadn’t noticed? She had a feeling she wouldn’t overlook a man such as himself, but nevertheless decided to ask him, “Are you in Yoga I as well? Did you need something from me?”
Emery wasn’t the confrontational type, but she never turned a person down that wanted to speak with her either. It was an uphill battle for her – trying to avoid conflict whenever necessary. On one hand, she could simply walk past the boy, pretend she didn’t hear him, but that was bound to cause problems. And she, quite frankly, wasn’t a problem starter. She was a solutions kind of girl.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Koda looked down at the girl and examined her when she turned around, a bit startled of course since he did sneak up on her. Red hair was always the best on women, he didn't know why but it just was. Her aura changed a bit but she was still trying to force herself to look happy despite being snuck up upon.
It wasn't rare for Koda to do this, but he hadn't in a while so maybe it was that. But he did like to terrify underclassmen here and there. He wouldn't be a good upperclassmen if he didn't terrify one of them right? When he looked into her eyes he saw a bit of fear, which her aura reflected in a bit of a green. When she said hello she sounded a bit terrified. Which was pleasing in a way. But she steadied herself and asked if he was in her yoga class and what he wanted. He chuckled a bit out loud. Yoga? really, does Koda look like one to do Yoga."Hell no." which he responded for her yoga question. He took one of his hands out of his pocket as slowly raised to her face. Gently caressing her chin and making her look up into his black and red eyes. He was trying to firghten her, so one of the best ways was to make people just stare into his black and red eyes because they were so unnatural. "I just saw a cute girl and decided to talk to her." he responded to her second question while still holding her chin as he looked into her eyes... God this poor girls luck walking out of classroom to bored Koda in her path. This probably wont end well for both of them. Koda will probably be slapped in the face and this memory burned into her mind... But at least Koda wasn't bored anymore so there is positive out this situation. Tags: @emery

Emery stared up at the boy, shifting from one foot to the other in anxiety. She was nervous, but then again who wouldn’t be in her situation. If only she were more brave, like Erika. She couldn’t help herself, though; it was simply the way she was raised. Her mother had been the strict sort of parent, and if everything wasn’t perfectly so Emery was the one that paid the price. She had learned at a young age that everything fell on her, and if something wasn’t right it was her fault. Logically, she was a smart girl and knew this wasn’t true, but it had been nailed onto her heart so many times throughout her youth she couldn’t help but feel it was.
The boy, she presumed a year or two older than herself, responded with a negative to her question if he was in her yoga class. Emery didn’t think he was – she was sure she’d remember his face otherwise.
His next action took her completely by surprise: reaching out to hold her chin, force her to make eye contact, and calling her a cute girl. Emery felt her own eyes widen in shock. She never came across someone bold enough to touch her without permission. Her cheeks flared in embarrassment, and she was positive her face now matched her hair color.
“I-I…” Emery trailed off, not sure how to respond. She stood there for a few moments, frozen, unsure, mind spinning as she tried to relax and figure a way out of this situation. “T-trust me, there’s cuter girls at this school,” she finally responded, trying to force a laugh. “In fact, i-if you need a wingman – or wing girl, rather – I could help you scout some cute girls. Much cuter than me. They’re all over the place.”
There she goes again, being her self-loathing self. Emery was still trying to help another person, though, despite her situation. She always put others above herself. She really needed to work on that.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Koda watched her reaction it was just as priceless as he imagined it would be. He didn't need his ability feel the shear shock and embarrassment that came across her. It did help that her face became just as red as her hair that was falling upon her shoulders. He never thought he'd see the day someone's face flared up that red though. It was quite impressive that she didn't faint from over heating with all that blood traveling to her cheeks.
He watched her try and scramble for words to say as he just kept staring into her eyes with his own black and red ones. And when she finally when words trailed off her tongue. He just chuckled at her responses. He didn't really expect a reply like that. From shock, to trying to help Koda find a girl? It was pretty cute.
He looked at the red head and smirked. He slowly leaned in as he kept his eyes on the girl before going past those cute lips of hers to her ear. "And what if I said I already have a girl in my sights. And who knows she could be standing right in front of me." he whispered into her ear as she could probably feel the heat of his breath. He leaned back out and let go of her chin. And just looked at the poor girl and waiting for a reaction.
Koda already has someone he has his eyes on, and it isn't the girl in front of him. He just wanted to torture the poor soul to cure his own boredom. And she was providing great entertainment to the fourth year through her reactions to what ever he said. It doesn't help that when he is bored and not around anyone he likes. He tends to make people's lives a bit troublesome like he is now.

Emery felt her blush deepen as the seconds ticked by, the two still in close proximity to one another. Did the boy have no shame? She was surprised he hadn’t made a comment about her face; she was sure it was beet red by this point in time. Emery couldn’t remember the last time she felt this embarrassed. It had certainly been a while. Perhaps it was the time she developed stage fright during her grade school play? Or the time she spilled coffee in front of everyone in the cafeteria at Aurora Academy? The latter had happened far more recent and still left her burning at the memory.
Suddenly there was movement.
Emery watched as he leaned closer. Was he actually going to kiss her? She felt her face heat up more as she turned away, having her cheek face his direction in case that was his intention. But he went past her exposed cheek straight to her ear, whispering further nonsense she couldn’t piece together. She wasn’t sure if this was flirting or harassment, but she didn’t like it either way. She couldn’t gain the courage to shove the boy away either.
After he was finished with his words, he released her chin and leaned back once more. She rubbed her chin, feeling his touch still lingering there, and glanced up at him with wide garnet eyes. It was like he was purposefully provoking her. Was he making fun of her? She certainly hadn’t done anything to warrant that – she just met the boy.
Straightening her back, she lifted her chin to meet him eye to eye, slightly intimidated by his black and red eyes but deciding not to show it. “I’m sorry,” she replied after a moment, “but I don’t think I’m who you’re looking for. Now if you’ll excuse me…” Emery trailed off, sidestepping around the boy to continue walking past him and down the hallway, hoping he didn’t try following her. He certainly was the persistent type.
