POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Cynthia is able to essentially 'see' with her mind, and so that gives her an idea of her own surroundings. Of course this area is limited, and she cannot see what's behind her much like a person's regular view. Being blind, she loses this ability when in the presence of a person with negation and straining to use this ability for anything other than her own sight can result in her getting a striking pain at the side of her head.
Telepathy was perhaps the best thing that has ever happened to her, because it allows her to communicate with others. She is able to both voice her opinions into a person's mind (through physical contact) and read another person's mind (again, through physical contact). If this ability is strained too much however, then it will result in migraines and headaches.

APPEARANCE
Cynthia is a young woman who is short in structure (5'2") with a well developed, hourglass figure that leans more to the chubby side of the spectrum. Although, she tends to hide that fact in the face of the public by wearing baggy and loose clothing that cover up (Baggy sweaters, sweat pants, etc). Unlike many people, her eyes are blank - they're white. She was born blind and as a result, lacks the ability to see. Usually, she tends to wear sunglasses to hide her eyes or even then, she doesn't have to because she is able to move her eyes in accordance to where her body would like to face - seeing that she trained to communicate with the person she is facing directly.
She has long, violet hair that reaches down to her mid-back which is often kept neat, straight and tidy. Her blank eyes often take most people aback from the lack of colour in them, however that doesn't stop an overall naive and innocent vibe that she releases.
The majority of her wardrobe consists of sweaters, sweat pants, and generally baggy clothing that doesn't outline her figure. Though, she really does love flowers and airy clothing in general, so there are rare times where she would wear some loose dresses and she does keep a sunhat somewhere stashed in her closet. Not much a fan of heels; she usually wears flats.

PERSONALITY
Contrary to the popular belief, Cynthia is actually a pretty happy individual. Curious and optimistic, she was always trying to figure things out from a young age. She was neither a visual or audio learner, finding that kinetic learning was more to her liking despite the difficulties that came with it. Through her Clairvoyance, she is able to see what her eyes do not, and so she is able to live her life out like a normal person who isn't blind. Although, she does find it annoying how she has to act blind around those who lack and ability so to say. If there is anything she despises, is how people will treat her differently just because of her lack of ability to see through those clouded eyes. She likes to think that she is perfectly capable of handling herself (when, in reality, lets face it. Sometimes she isn't).
The best way to describe her would be that one meek mom friend. She's silent, but really has a lot to say about many things if she only had the ability to speak out her mind - and not through her mind. Her optimistic and bright outlook on things allows her to make friends rather easily in spite of the communication barrier (seeing that she can't use her telepathy for far too long before getting migraines).
However, to a certain degree, she is a cynical and slightly depressive person due to her upbringing. Narrow minded and sheltered, held quite a number of grudges for lack of a better description. While she may come off as motherly and soft spoken, many can agree that she can appear rather distant or indifferent to any events that happen around her, that do not directly effect her. This causes many people to think of her as cold and uncaring, or even accuse her of holding a facade of sorts when in reality, it's just the belief that her parents taught her. She isn't very much fond of religion, and so it would be wise not to speak about it around her. By extension, she can get frustrated fairly quickly if someone tries to push any ideas onto her against her will - much quicker than the majority.
It's not quite easy deceiving her with appearances, seeing that she actually.. Can't really see per say. Her clairvoyance only acts as her way of 'seeing' her surroundings, but she is the definition of someone who doesn't judge a book by it's cover. She can be clumsy and air headed, although she doesn't even realize it often times.

BIOGRAPHY
You were born to a man and a woman, both of which devoted their lives to a god that probably didn't exist. Every day, they would attend church to worship a holy being that you personally couldn't find any interest in. Why is it that they were so devoted, you may ask. They told everyone that god loved them, that god would accept all beings and would expect others to accept those beings that came from a woman's womb as well. You'd have a family, no matter how you came out. That's what you were told, that's what you were told.
Perhaps, however, all of those were lies.
You were mute, you are mute. You were blind, and you are blind. You will always be both mute and blind. Though they were taught to accept and nurture, all their claims of being loving were hollow and only grazed the skin. Your vocal cords were damaged when you came out, and your eyes failed to see anything that the beautiful world had to offer. You could hear, you could breath. You could feel the warmth of love and affection, but you couldn't find any of that there. Though they put smiles on their faces and spoke in cheery tones, all of such were empty words with zero motives. You were inferior; you were seen as an eyesore. For what, many would ask? Because you couldn't see, you couldn't cry. You couldn't voice your opinion, and so your opinion was always cast as invalid.
You were lucky, because your father held the ability of a one-way Telepathy. He was able to read your mind, however he was unable to speak into yours. This helped the both of them raise you a bit better, because they knew that you could understand language. Perhaps the most difficult part of this all was the fact that you couldn't see. If you could see, then perhaps you could have done sign language, or maybe you could write your notes down. People surrounded you in churches, perhaps so that your parents could look good in front of the gods by saying 'hey, we're taking care of a messed up child' And, in the face of that, you could have laughed at how untrue that was.
Many of the children at Church gave you funny looks, but you couldn't tell. You could feel the aura they gave off, you could feel the fear that crept up your spine. You didn't belong here, they would all mentally attack you. You didn't belong here. And so, you prayed. You told yourself and you thought.. If the lord and saviour were all forgiving, all loving, all what not.. Then why would they give you such a hard time? Why would they have all those around you, shun you? You couldn't understand, and perhaps you never will, because later on as you grew, you questioned the concept of any god in the first place.
Your father noticed your thoughts, he scolded you. Both he and your mother tried their best to teach you, to convert you against what you did and did not believe in. Did you hate it? Of course you did, but you couldn't do anything about it in the first place. You never had a choice, your opinion was invalid because you couldn't make a vocal sound. It wasn't your choice to attend a school for the disabled, where you learned Tadoma and learned to read Braille. It wasn't your choice to be blind, it wasn't your choice to be mute. You were distressed, you were upset. You threw tantrums, but of course, they couldn't give a care about you or your needs. I mean, it wasn't too bad, but you just hated how people treated you with pity rather than genuine affection. It just made people feel obligated to work with you, and that really bothered you.
However everything changed whenthe fire nation attacked you were able to hear thoughts. You told your parents (more specifically, your father) that you were able to hear the thoughts of your mother. At first, you were pretty scared but from then on, your father tried to teach you to channel your thoughts into another person's mind but that always strained you far too much if you did it too many times in the day. He also taught you how to block out other thoughts that you didn't want to hear and through a lot of work, you were finally able to communicate with your mother after a couple of months or so.
The discovery made up for your lack of ability to speak, your parents were ecstatic. They always spoke to you, but they made sure that people outside of their environment wouldn't know about this ability in fear that you would reveal quite a bit. Your parents soon took you in for homeschooling, only so that your father could take a better look at you and continue his attempts to brainwash and convert you over to their religion of where their 'god' gave you such a blessing. Personally? You found that to be complete and utter bull, and yet you had to comply no matter how much you resented.
By your early teens, you developed yet another ability - and your parents noticed this. You were able to walk properly, you didn't crash into things. Eventually, you just didn't need their guidance anymore, and your eyes were able to look up in different directions like a normal child; yet you still failed to see a person's physical features. Regardless, you were able to act like you could walk and talk, and that was more than enough for your parents. They both thought that if you were able to achieve this, then you most certainly would be able to accomplish your mother's Divination - they wanted you to act as a messenger. An angel sent by the gods, proof that the gods existed of sorts. They were extremists, and you were never very proud of that. They continued for years, up until you were old enough to attend high school. Seeing that you couldn't use divination, they both chose to send you to a special high school for you to hone your abilities with others your age - or maybe they just wanted to get rid of you for being a freak? I mean, if you could tell the future, that would be some good excuse for being an angel sent down from the heavens. Hah.. Not your fault that they just wanted to use some child in the name of their religion.
