POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Adoptive Action: Intermediate
Ariana has always been a fast learner but it went to another level when her Adoptive Action awakened. Ever since then she has been able to learn actions from watching them be done. The more complex or complicated an action the more times she has to see it and the more time she has to devote to practicing it in order to keep the skill sharp. Unused skills will, like any unused skill set, diminish with time but she can always relearn things by watching again. Watching an action in person is more effective for whatever reason. When she tries to learn things from recordings it takes longer to master.
Remote Viewing: Beginner
Recently, in the last few months in fact, Ariana has begun to see things that are happening at some distance to her. Her control of it isn't very good as she can't reliably dictate where she's looking or what she's seeing. At least she's able to control when she far-sees now.

APPEARANCE
All in all, Ariana is a pretty little thing. She's of middling height, with a deceptively slight frame that in no way impedes her physical capabilities. Her hair is blonde; quite fine and fly-away; and falls to a little past her shoulders. She has wide, guileless, blue eyes and a rather pale complexion that only makes her eyes seem the brighter.
Her usual attire is subdued and modest, and she has a predilection for earth tones and cool colors. She is rarely seen in jeans or pants, preferring skirts or dresses most of the time. Although she isn't one for flashy things, she does wear a modest amount of jewelry. It's generally gold, but she also has some more down to earth beaten copper pieces. The one piece that she always wears regardless, is her wedding band.

PERSONALITY
Generally speaking, Ariana is a somewhat reserved individual. She's fairly quiet and subdued, slow to smile but even slower to anger and can be rather quick to cry from any strong emotion. Given her druthers she prefers solitude to a crowd as she tends to be easily overwhelmed by too much outside stimulus.
She isn't the type to make friends very quickly but those she has she cherishes. She keeps her promises and, when trusted with a secret, keeps it well behind her teeth. Even with people she trusts, which are few, she is disinclined to open up about her worries or problems. She'll self-destruct before opening up, really.
When she sets her mind to something Ariana gets pretty myopic. She'll zone in on that idea or thing to the exclusion of nearly all else. Useful when getting tasks done, detrimental when obsessing over minutiae.

BIOGRAPHY
Ariana's life started out simple enough. She was born to an upper-middle class family in suburban Belgium to normal enough parents. Her siblings were normal enough too, if you ignored the fact that her older sister made things float with her mind. It was easy enough to keep that under wraps and when Ariana was seven, and her sister twelve, Emma was invited to a prestigious international school that would help her learn about her special gifts. Ariana had every hope of going there herself when she was old enough and got a special gift of her own.
But fate, it seemed, had other things in store for her.
It had started out as a perfectly normal Saturday. Ariana had gone with her mother to do some shopping, ate out at a little café, and went back home to work on her studies for school. She didn't have an exciting life, but there was nothing wrong with that. But all that was about to change. Unbeknownst to Ariana, she had be chosen to start a new life that day and new beginnings aren't often painless. This one was more painful than many, though the full brunt of the pain wouldn't be experienced right away.
That Saturday night, everything changed. Ariana had just gotten ready for bed when a strange woman let herself into her room. Before Ariana could shout for help she had been knocked unconscious. When she awoke she was cooped up in a closet, the door to which she couldn't open. She cried out, banging on the door and demanding to be let out. Her punishment for such a ruckus was swift and unrelenting.
Before too long the young girl was completely cowed. She no longer struggled to get out when food was brought to her. She no longer begged for her parents. In a matter of weeks the spark had been crushed from her. In time, though, she began to act like a person again, rather than a husk of one. She learned all she was expected to rather quicker than expected and applied herself with a will once she realized it earned her better treatment.
Everything about her was changing just as her life had. Soon she was devoted to the family that had taken her from her original family. Soon she was almost looking forward to the wedding with Simon that would happen when she started her cycle. Almost. There was still a faint glimmer of reluctance within her that she didn't even understand herself at this point. Had not the Tevaniis given her everything? Had they not taken her in as one of their own? She chalked it up to nervousness.
The wedding night finally came. Ariana had reached puberty and a date was set. Officially married now, she was expected to do certain things for her new husband; things she had no real knowledge of. The Roma didn't talk about the doings of man and wife in polite company and she had been far too young to have any knowledge from before she was brought into the family. Still, they figured things out.
In time it became clear that the wedding night had been a successful one; she was pregnant. Only now she was nearly a nonentity. She had known it would be so but it hadn't really stuck her how isolating and horrible it would feel. During that time she became increasingly attached to her husband, Simon.
Then the worst thing possible happened. Ariana miscarried. The fetus wasn't forming properly in the womb and her body rejected it rather violently. She got terribly sick, getting an infection from the necrotic tissue before it was removed. In her eyes only Simon had really been worried for her and that cemented her devotion to him as she healed.
Once she recovered she tentatively brought up trying again for a child but Simon would have none of it. Privately, Ariana was relieved. She wasn't really mentally, emotionally, or physically ready to try and conceive again but she didn't want to let her husband down. She was sure once they had both recovered completely they would surely try again. In the mean time, she had no problem waiting.
Another Saturday; another night of change. Ariana had gone to sleep early, still a bit drained from the miscarriage. She woke to the sounds of a conflict and opened her eyes to flames. Panic leapt in her as she saw Simon beating his father severely amidst the fire. Devoted to Simon as she was she had no doubt her father-in-law had done something horrible but it was frightening to see Simon in such a rage. She didn't resist at all as he tore the place apart around them and spirited her off into the night. During the course of that flight she passed out, likely from the shock of it all.
Morning found her all alone at the edge of the woods not terribly far from the camp. She was afraid for Simon and that's was sent her back to the camp. That was a mistake. When she returned alone in the light of the previous night's excitement she was met with distrust and askance glances. Still, she wanted nothing more than to find Simon again. She was worried about him, afraid he might be hurt from the fire or whatever had happened that night. There was also the matter that without him she was no one amongst her new family. Between the two forces an obsession was borne.
When an outsider approached her with an invitation to Aurora, her instinct was to deny it. But the woman had known about Simon and assured her that Aurora could help her find him. That was all the pressure she needed and vowed that when she returned to the camp she would do so with her husband.
