APPEARANCE
Atlas stands at 5' 9" and weighs about 135 pounds with an almost muscular build. He dons messy bright red hair will similar colored eyes, a compliment to his slightly pale complexion. Atlas has a jagged scar running from the left side of his collarbone to his left shoulder blade, which he has covered depending on which personality is in control.
Atlas's clothing usually consists of layers, very neutral colors but made for him to stand out. He wears a hour glass pendant around his neck, given to him by his mother and very dear to him, and he never has it off. This changes when Samael, his second personality, is in control. His clothes are usually black or grey and are more form fitting. The pendant is also missing, a very noticeable difference between the two.

PERSONALITY
Atlas suffers from DID, or Disassociative Identity Disorder, so the way he interacts is totally dependent on which personality is in control. As himself, Atlas is a very bright and positive fifteen year old, even a bit awkward at times. He goes out of his way to help others and strives to make the best out of any situation. A smile can always be seen on his face. But, though it is very subtle, Atlas can be very unemotional at times, an influence from Samael.
Samael, however, is a completely different ballgame. He is completely disinterested in people and enjoys watching other people in pain, be it emotionally or physically. He has no regard for life whatsoever, going as far as to hurt someone for something so little it seems as if its nothing. Samael is always itching for a fight, and when he gets one, its almost impossible to stop him.

BIOGRAPHY
Atlas wasn't really that special. Hell, even he'd tell one that. He didn't expect anyone to hold his hand through life, but that didn't stop him from taking risks and living life to the fullest. The boy's parents cared for him very much, and did they're best to do everything for him. He was thankful, yes, but he felt as if it was unnecessary. But, he let them do as they wanted and life went on normally for a while.
That was until he started to come out.
At first, Atlas wasn't that aware of Samael or that his personality seemed to change entirely at random moments. But, around the age of nine, the second personality started to become more prominent. He would all of a sudden push others away and actually enjoy when his relatives or even strangers were in pain. Or, he would just go numb and not feel anything at all. Atlas tried to keep this a secret, tried to figure this out himself, but it was becoming harder and harder to conceal as the second personality, now named "Samael", acted out. When his parents noticed this, he was sent in and checked out. When the psychiatrist diagnosed the now eleven year old with DID, his whole world changed. Atlas's parents didn't seem to trust him anymore and never wanted to do anything with him anymore. Despite all this, he did his best to push Samael down and keep a positive attitude.
A bit after he turned fourteen, Atlas discovered his abilities. Really, he didn't quite understand them and the only reason he really trained was because, well, it was another thing Samael could take advantage of. One night, it was the night Atlas finally decided to accept that the second personality was something normal for him, that he couldn't control it. Sure, he didn't like it, but it was a part of him nonetheless. Eventually, that would be his downfall. The night Samael had taken control and made him murder his own parents was the night Atlas knew he wouldn't become the psychopath his second personality was. That was the night he got his scar, a painful reminder for Atlas and a kind of trophy for Samael. It was also the night he was given the hour glass pendant from his mother, a parting gift.
That night, everything had been peaceful. Atlas had been happy to be going to bed. That day had been stressful, having to put up with more of the distrust that caused tension within the family. He wanted to get the though of his DID and Samael out of his mind, and succumb to the darkness behind his eyelids. Of course, Samael had another plan in store. There are always thoughts of regret and thinking that he could have done something to stop it, but in the end, the thought that crossed Atlas's mind was could he really? He hated seeing the images of the bloody knife in his hand, pain shooting through his shoulder as his father tried to defend himself with his own blade. In the end, it was for nothing and he merely crumbled to the floor, Samael now on the hunt for one more person. When Atlas had surfaced again that night, Samael had driven the blade into his mother's stomach, horror flashing through his eyes. Totally surprising the boy, his mother just looked at him with sadness in her eyes, and placed an object in the shape of an hour glass in his bloody hand. And, without another word, she died.
A sense of relief had washed through the teenager when the police arrived, arresting the younger and placing him in the back of a cop car. Atlas knew Samael was not done, he would be back, but he would do everything in his power so nothing like this ever happened again. When he though back on it in the jail cell, he noticed he wasn't as devastated as he should have been. Whether this was because of Samael or not he did not know, but he didn't like it. A couple of months later, he was sent to Aurora, much to Atlas's dismay. But, he didn't question his knew-found freedom and planned to make sure he influenced this place in a good way as best he could.
