What do you mean "what the hell was that?"? You told me to talk to him so I did
You aren't suppose to talk to people like that! Why didn't you just listen to my suggestion?!
Because then it wouldn't actually be me talking! It would just be you talking through me, if you are going to make me talk just let me do it myself
Well, at least try to be polite. You aren't trying to chase him away
Yeah right! As if it was even possible to drive this guy away. He just chuckles and grins at everything, its really is starting to piss me off.... should've punched him in the jaw earlier
How do you expect me to trust you at all when you just casually say things like that?! Can't you just have a normal conversation with the guy?!
Levi listened to Manami rant on and on about her behavior but she didn't feel sorry. She felt no remorse about her blunt words and behavior. If the boy in front of her couldn't stand a couple remarks like that than there was no hope for her getting along with him at all in the future. Part of her hoped that he would get angry or just ignore her so that she could use it as an excuse to get out of talking to him but luck didn't seem to be with her today. Instead Dennis chuckled once again, which only served to irritate Levi more, and began his explanation. She had to feel bad for the guy, it was true that as far as he was concerned her behavior suddenly took a one hundred and eighty degree turn. He didn't known that there were two personalities so Levi's sudden outburst would've seen incredible odd to him. However, while she felt bad for him at the same time she was internally laughing her head off at the idea of what must of been going through his head when she lost it. The oddest thing she found about his explanation was that he seemed to be blaming himself for what happened. He didn't direct the blame at her but somehow felt that in a way he was responsible for it. At the same time he wasn't driving her for answers on why she tried to maul him out of the blue. His thought process was bizarre to her, something completely alien. How could he be so forgiving? Why was he blaming himself when he had truly done nothing? Somehow he ended up reminding her of Manami. He was definitely calmer than her counterpart but the same kind hearted nature seemed to reside within him.
"You know, you are actually a very odd person. Despite everything that just happened you are still just sitting over there grinning and chuckling as if it was all one big joke. It's strange. You're strange. I tried to kill you a few moments ago and yet you comforted me even hugged me. Ugh! It's like I am having a conversation with a male version of Manami! As if one Manami wasn't enough...

Another insult; another chuckle- though the next one had been just a little bit louder and prominent as the grin he wore broadened faintly more while his expression remained primarily directed towards the skies high above. ”An odd person… Hah. Yeah. ...I get that a lot, actually~. Honestly, if people don’t tell me that at some point, then something’s wrong…” he responded within his own leisure, shrugging as he shook his head lightly. Pulling his arms and hands closer towards his form, he instead bent them both and twined his fingers together, resting his elbows upon the stone as he leaned his head within his fingers and palms as a means of support. Tilting his head a tad, he quirked his lip as he peered over at her, giving her a shrug once more to emphasize his passiveness. ”It definitely hurt, yeah, but I mean...if I said something to anger someone else, then it’s my responsibility to own up and try and make things right again, yeah…? I could complain and pin the blame right back on someone else, or I could do my best to make them feel better, that way it doesn’t happen to me or anyone else again.”He inhaled deeply, keeping his azure eyed gaze upon her as he silently added an unspoken remark within his mind, leaving it to linger there as he listened to what else she had to say, as well as to register them appropriately and in a reasonably timely manner. ...It’s the least a screwup should and would be able to do, anyways… A person could be out for my blood, but it would still probably be better for them to shed that anger on me to let them vent out...Now, such a thought would have normally been a trigger for him to fall deep into the rabbit hole more times than not, often leaving him little to no opportunity to drag and haul himself back out until an unspeakable time afterwards when he had already torn his own mind to shreds and barely pieced the fragments back together in an unstable and rickety manner. However, his mind thankfully managed to stray towards the remainder of the other’s statements after the spoke them, rather than involuntarily indulging deeper within his own thoughts. If she had been watching, she would have caught sight of the grin he wore beginning to falter vaguely, as well as his brows beginning to furrow within a pensive manner. His intellect focused upon the last two remarks that she had spoken to him within her own form of a retort, and before long, he blinked silently before tilting his head slightly. ”...Wait. You just-...” he began, though trailed off soon afterwards as he realized what he was about to say. Disbelief temporarily crossed his thoughts and expression alike, imbuing a sense of hesitation within him that caused him to second guess himself. Once he had reaffirmed her words within his head, however, he went on, saying, ”A...male version of Manami…? ...What do you mean by that? I never took you for the type to talk about yourself in third person or anything like that, honestly…”

An amused smile spread across Levi’s lips as she listened to Dennis’ response. He was so chilled and laid back about everything that the demon girl partially found his behavior funny while also finding it slightly irritating. It was as if she was staring directly at the embodiment of the antithesis of her opinions on humanity as a whole. Humans were suppose to be greedy, selfish, cruel, violent, lustful, narcissistic, sinful, and untrustworthy. Yet the boy in front of her didn't seem to express any of these qualities she had come to expect. His very existence seemed to disprove her world view and she found that to be incredibly amusing. He didn't fit in, he was an oddity among a majority of people Levi had met and this was something she was curious about. It was as if he was challenging her, a challenge to discover his flaws, something vile the boy had done so that Levi could ground his existence inside of her reality. It wasn't weakness she was looking for but sin, flaws in his rock like morals that otherwise seemed invulnerable. She would find them even if she had to push the poor boy to his extremes to weed them out.
It may have seemed odd that the girl that had asked Dennis to never hurt her just moments before was suddenly trying to bring out the worst in the boy, even Levi didn't understand why she wanted to see his dark side so badly. Yet the answer to this question was actually quite simple as long as one truly understood Levi. She was cynical through and through she had basically be created out of hatred for other people and so she never truly put her full trust into anyone besides maybe Manami. How was she suppose to truly trust Dennis to never hurt her if she had never even seen him at his worst? Subconsciously she needed to see the swim captain at his absolute worst before she would ever be able to completely let her guard down around him. However, this train of thought quickly evaporated when she heard the last part of Dennis’ response. Sadly, both girls had failed to notice the falter in the boys’ smile but they both had their attention grabbed by his last few questions and statement.
”Third person? What the fuck are you talking about? It would only be talking in the third person if I was-”
Before she could even finish her sentence both of her hands suddenly shot up and clasped over her mouth. She had been completely silenced except for the muffled sound of her voice from behind her own hands. One look at her facial expression at this moment would make it quite clear she wasn't pleased with her current situation and an angry tone could even be heard from her muffled yelling.
What the hell are you doing Manami?!
Levi, he doesn't know!
What do you mean he doesn't know?! All your friends know about us
I didn't tell him….
Why the hell didn't you tell him?! How are planning on explaining this entire situation then?!
I don't know! It wouldn't have been a problem if you suddenly didn't go insane!
Oh, so it's my fault now? You’re the one who thought it was a brilliant idea to not tell your friend you had a second personality! Don't go blaming your errors on me!
You’re the one that suddenly tried to kill him out of nowhere! This wouldn't be a problem if you had just stayed calm
Fine, think whatever you want either way you better come up with response and quickly too
What am I supposed to say?!
The hell if I know, good luck~
Just like that Manami was suddenly handed the reins again and Levi retreated into their mind. She was once again in the springs with a very confused swim captain but this time she didn't know what to say. How was she suppose to explain this situation? She had no idea but unable to come up with some elaborate story she decided the truth was probably the best option.
”Ummm…. well you see…. it’s like this… I have no idea how to explain this to you….”
