POWER DESCRIPTIONS
What do your powers do? How controlled are they? How do they affect your character and the people around them. Please be rather specific if you can.
APPEARANCE
Audrey is a short femme with long, dark brown hair. She wears a pair of red clips in her hair parallel to each other. Her eyes are a soft brown, framed by thick, long eyelashes. Her constant attempts to make everyone cheer up give her a somewhat permanent smile. It's a fond, friendly smile though. Audrey is often found wearing a black skirt and a long-sleeved white dress shirt, along with a red scarf around her neck and a red cloth draped in a bow over her chest.
PERSONALITY
Remarkably cheerful at first glance, Audrey attempts to brighten up others day quite often. People might just brush her off, or be so annoyed that they tell her to go away. Regardless, Audrey is a happy person on the outside. There will be moments when she isn't so happy, like when she remembers her childhood. Audrey is also quite blunt, and has a leaning towards honesty for the most part. Despite seeming like it, Audrey isn't that innocent. She was exposed to the horrors of the world as a child, and as a result, Audrey will withdraw into herself when someone rejects her friendly personality. She's quite a lonely soul, so her cheery facade is a mask that covers how lonely she can get.
BIOGRAPHY
WARNING: TRIGGER CONTENT OF ABUSE AND RAPE MENTIONED
When Audrey was born, her life with her family wasn't that bad at first. Then her parents split apart when she was five, arguing over something she couldn't remember. This divorce caused a massive court battle between the two in who gets to have custody of their only child. In the end, Audrey's father Sao Jin succeeded in obtaining Audrey. At that point, Audrey felt like one of her mother's fine china dolls at age eight.
It wasn't immediately obvious to her, but Sao wasn't the most stable of fathers. He started to drink excessively, often leaving Audrey alone in the house when he left. The horrific emotional and physical abuse started when she was nine after she got into a huge argument with her father over his drinking. After being slapped on the face, Audrey's life changed drastically.
She forced a cheery facade at school, hiding the massive bruises, bruised ribs, and the frequent broken bone underneath her school clothes. Sao didn't dare touch her face, because he didn't want to have the ugly truth revealed about the friendly girl. One night when Audrey was thirteen, Sao attempted to force himself upon her. The frequent scream was so loud and high-pitched that the waves resonated heavily throughout his skull and his head had exploded across the room.
Audrey was discovered the next morning with heavy, dried tear tracks running down her face and her clothes ripped. Her expression was frightened, and with the blood splashed across the front of her ruined clothing and face, the neighbors assumed the worse. Posthumously, Sao Jin was charged with physical and emotional abuse, along with attempted rape. Audrey was merely let off in self-defense.
A couple weeks later, a person arrived at her mother's home with an invitation to attend an orientation at a prestigious school. In an effort to forget what happened with her father, Audrey accepted.
