I felt the darkness
as it tried to pull me down
[attr="class","scroll"] Already the sense of dread was seeping into his bones. He could see just how brightly lit up everyone was, and already he could feel his head starting to ache. But he swore he would do this, so do this he would. And it wasn't like it was entirely without it's benefits either... Seeing Michael lit up like the rest of them was definitely enough to make him happy. "Heh... Yeah..." If he could make it a few hours without having to kill something, that might be good. But eventually they arrived and he looked around and groaned. Gods.. so many.. Useless... Wastes of space... Oh look.. There was one now... "AMOOOSSS~~~" His expression flattened at the sight of the red head that he only tolerated while Luka was around, which, he wasn't. "Ohhhh~ Lookit you both all so dressed up and fancy~" Amos growled a bit. "Oooh, and Lucien with the cute first year~ Nice choice." Not that Lucien would hear him with how far off he was, mingling and being popular. "What's the matter grumpy? Forced to come?" "Not... Exactly.." More like plotted against. Maybe Lucien had something to do with his boss suddenly changing his schedule like this. No. That was just as ridiculous. It wasn't like anyone actually knew where he worked... But his boss had heard of the dance somehow... Maybe some other group of kids... "Who are you here with, anyways?" He muttered, not really all that interested, but if it made Adrian change the subject, then that was perfectly fine. "Oh? No one in particular. Just sort of thought I'd come alone." Amos was really actually caught off guard by that. Adrian was usually such a popular kid too. "I tried to get our friendly neighborhood kitty cat to join us, but he said he was too busy. That and I think he really does actually have a cold or something, cuz he looked absolutely horrible when I went to pick him up." Heh.. So he did decide to take the tips and tricks that Amos had taught him to get out of it. Go Luka. "Eh. I'm sure I'll find someone to dance with. Speeeeaaakiiiing oooof~ You two gonna get out there and dance or what?" "Er..." Shit... Right.. He would actually.. Maybe... Have to... "Uhh... I want a drink.." Yep, time to dip out of that before Adrian got too.... Himself. Amos quickly retreated to the refreshments table, but still, he could feel the heat in his cheeks. Gods, what an idiot he was. Worked up over something so small like a dance! That was the point of being here right!? Adrian chuckled a bit and shook his head before tucking a strand of his long red hair behind his ear. "Sorry. I didn't actually mean to intrude on your perfect little evening. Buuuut. I know things. That you may not know. Amos works really hard at everything he puts his mind to. I mean of course you know that... But Luka told me that he had been teaching him how to dance. So that he could come here and dance with you. Not that he'd ever really admit it, I'm sure. But I've seen him. For as private as he is, he really should learn to close his curtains, being on the bottom floor and all." He smiled a bit and waved a hand. "Anyways, don't be afraid to just.. Pull him out there. Have fun, you know?" Amos returned shortly after the red head disappeared into the crowd to go and talk amongst his friends. Not that Amos had even realized that he had friends in the first place. "Ehhh.. The punch table was empty.. I guess they're getting more or something.." He mentioned. "I'll have to umm.. Go back later..." |
The kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house
Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now!
