There were no meddlesome students around and about unless they were studying, and the shelves lined with books were about the most company she needed to get by the day. Classes were over for the day, and as expected, Fiona had received full marks for her academic performance as though she had known the topic from the get go. Perhaps it was from all the books that she has read, allowing her to control her ability to a certain extent? That may possibly be the case, but it was always a hassle having to pick what to know and when too much was enough. Frankly, she found it a struggle to keep up with the crowds of people walking around and about, then it was also a pain having to deal with the other three individuals in her mind. Even if she could understand them and what exactly they were, along with their origins, she couldn't exactly bring herself to eliminate all of them at once because they're existences have been so imprinted into her mind. What a hassle, she thought to herself; but it couldn't be helped. Red framed glasses were pushed up the bridge of her nose as the third year made quick strides down the isles after a brief wave hello to the librarian. Fiona was a familiar face - a familiar face that was always welcomed to her own sanctuary. Here, she could play her game of chess in peace without disturbance, or she could read up on a few books regarding her ability. That being said, she was slightly annoyed with how simplistic her elemental abilities were; it was just 'control the elements'. Okay.. How? How does one specifically? How did it feel? She was never able to understand that one thing, only because the explanation itself was always so simplistic. It irritated her to no bounds, and thus she chose to indulge herself in books to distract her ever-wandering mind. She made no haste to find a spot in the seemingly deserted library, and it seemed as though her typical spot was - as it should be - empty. Not a soul in sight, because she found that the majority of high schoolers weren't all too concerned with studying. If anything, they were more like Delta; dramatic buffoons who knew nothing about the beauty of literature. Oh well, that just meant more for her. It was after school hours, where the sun was setting but the school building was still open for students, so she wasn't surprised to see that there were stray book hanging around and about. With a sigh, the lavender haired girl gently picked up some of the comic books or novels laying around and about, only to place them on the librarian's desk for them to sort out later on. Returning to her usual seat, she pulled out the nearby chess board and sat in her heavenly peace. By now, setting up both sides was like second nature to her; the board was set up in the matter of seconds. The cover of silence was deafening, but it was enough to let Fiona do what she would as she played on her own. She would have played with other students, but they would either lose and feel frustrated over it or Fiona would accidentally call them out for making a foolish move. What better way to make everyone happy, than to play in your own isolation? Even if they always ended in a draw. However she hadn't even made her second move when she heard the door opening, and instinctively turning her eyes over to look at the approaching figure. At first, she paid no mind to the stranger as he was wandering-- that is, until she realized that he was wandering over to her. In her grasp was a white pawn piece, and she could feel his presence behind her as while her slender fingers wrapped around the piece's frame. Though quiet and soft, there was no hesitation as her head tilted back and upwards to look at the male. ".. Yes? May I help you?" ✉ tag -- ( @aquarius ) ✎ 000 words ※ I HOPE THIS IS OKAY. |
