i'll have you know i've come to watch you die.
A straightforward attack. Vin's eyes narrowed at Aaron as he foolishly barreled toward him. If he recalled he had done something similar-- but he wasn't stupid enough to take a straight line, nor advance while in a wounded state. His opponent was acting cornered after taking what Vin assessed to be a fairly deep scratch. By all rights the spear even at that angle and velocity should have impaled the limb outright and brought him crashing to the ground, instead his opponent was comparatively unscathed. Perhaps there was more to him than just strength, his body must be hard to damage as well. Still, there were places to puncture that were easily exploited for maximum damage. A black gloved hand extended in front of himself . It was time to finish this. With this boy out of the way he could make short work of the caged figures he had captured earlier.
A breeze passed by him catching the young man by surprise. His eyes blankly staring into the green orbs that peered back to his. He knew those eyes, the oaken hair that flowed behind them. She reminded him of a forest, not unlike the one they were currently fighting in. Her aura enveloped him, a familiarity connecting to his being. Artemis. After everything they'd been through, how could he not know her? After everything that had happened, how had they reunited here? Vin's thoughts were however limited to the hesitancy he felt around another Chi user. Things were becoming dangerous if she was here now. He watched as her form continued past him plowing her fist into the face of the teen that had been charging to his own demise. Vin had been prepping a spear to shoot upward from the ground to pierce under the boy's jaw cutting his air supply and perhaps have him choke to death on his own blood. The human eye could only see so much and after having conditioned him to expect attacks from behind he wouldn't be expecting the sudden shake up of a spear erupting from the very ground he thought was his safety net. A mere punch to the face was a much better trade off.
Vin's hand fell back to his side. A name fell on his ears. Vin. Yes, that was his name. Not only she, but another had also used it. Who had it belonged to..? A smile, warm and bright wormed its way inside his mind. He felt drawn to the memory, but for what purpose he didn't know. As soon as the smile had come to him, it vanished as though roughly torn from him.
"Nngh--!"
A black gloved hand reached up and pressed the palm against his forehead, his fingers digging through his blonde hair. He mumbled incoherently to himself, the pieces of his words lost to nothingness as he bent to the ground. A blue light began swirling around him and the hood of his robe rustled as his aura flared and then vanished. The blue lights faded and fluttered out of existence leaving no trance of where the black cloaked boy had been moments before. It was like he simply vanished. This wasn't the end, not by a long shot. He had been acting on instinct but now he knew. There were survivors of Hinan.
There were survivors he needed to silence.
Permanently.

War is a hell of a thing Try to fight it, try to run. But it's arm is long, and you're just what it needs. TAG: @nike . WORDS: 522. NOTES: "Now you run?" Were he a mind reader, Aaron would be offended both by how little they thought of him and how drastically they underestimated him. He understood quite well the type of person he was fighting. He understood that his powers made him one of the most dangerous people alive. The type that could kill him quite easily, if the larger male slipped up. But, in his own opinion, Aaron had this under control. He'd made the mistake of trying to get to a place that would give the blonde an opportunity to rethink his course, to perhaps calm his killers mind. That wasn't a mistake he'd be making twice.
As Aaron got closer, V was taking the bait. Buying into this idea that Aaron was an idiot. The plotted course, straight as an arrow, was his lure. As Vin raised his hand, Aaron would use his strength to enhance his speed, his body moving at a pace no normal human should be able to reach, juking left and then sliding in a crouch forward and to the right, feet skidding along the leaves and rocks of the forest floor as his body would be lowered into said crouch. That left hand, which he'd kept up by his face, would snatch out to try and grab Vin at the front of the pants just above the kneecap. If he was wearing shorts or tight pants, Aarons hand would grab the leg instead and jerk to the right, intent to to whip Vins body into a cartwheel in the air, giving Aaron the advantage and ability to pounce, as well as helping him to avoid those pesky little toys the kid kept trying to stick him in the back with.
Intent is a fickle thing, however.
As he juked left, he'd notice three things. One- his strength drained. Two- the male in front of him was....not doing well either. And three- there was a fist heading toward his face. Aaron would jerk his head backward to avoid the punch, but coming as a surprise attack was only partially successful. The fist would clip his chin, sending the green eyed brunette back to his feet and stumbling backward. Pain radiated inside his skull and dulled the burning coming from his thigh, Aaron's left hand coming up to rub his chin. As Nike spoke, he'd cock his left brow. True, he'd treated Vin as a kid. Tried to get his head out of violent thrasher mode. But him dying in the middle of the woods to some robot child? Not in his itinerary. Still, he'd stand straight.
"If you say so."
He assumed by their actions, that the male wasn't about to continue the assault without his abilities. Still, he remained on edge, staring at the pair as he worked his jaw, just in case he kept a real weapon handy for just such the occassions. He was disappointed by the boy fleeing the scene instead, his muscles relaxing a little as his eyes would turn back to the brunette who'd clocked him.
"Friend of yours?"

I've got thick skin and an elastic heart But your blade it might be too sharp Nuria didn't care about the fight in front of her, she didn't know Aaron and it looked like they weren't going to make it out alive to even care to know him. So many things were happening at once, she could hardly keep track. Kat had pushed herself against Nu, as if trying to save her, but Nuria wish she hadn't. It wasn't her job to take care of her. In fact, Nuria swore that she had to protect Kat at all costs, it shouldn't have been the other way around.
All hope was lost...until....
She'd come into Nuria's life before just as quickly as she did now. One moment she wasn't there and the next she was one of the people Nuria cared about the most. Nuria's eyes widened as the brunette flashed past Vin. Arte; she was as marvelous as ever. This was the kind of girl Nuria had hoped to one day become. Strong, determined and beautiful. She was the one Nuria had been looking for all along. She couldn't help but watch in amazement as Arte's fist made contact with the boy.
Nuria was so busy staring at Arte, she barely made note of when exactly Vin had disappeared. She didn't see his reaction to Arte, the way he grabbed on to his head. And it was good thing, too. The hope that Vin was still in there somewhere would have bubbled up to the surface after all this time, she had worked so hard to make it go away. This was for the best.
It would take more than a minute for the blades to let her and Kat free and Nuria took this moment to reflect on the events. She sank to the ground, her eyes fixated on Arte the whole time. It could have been the fact that she thought she was for sure going to die, or the fact that Arte had done what she always did and saved her. Whatever the reason, Nuria's eyes started to get a stinging sensation. She brought her hand up to her eye and wiped away the tears that were forming. It'd been so long since she'd let herself feel this way, it was cathartic. She didn't feel alone anymore, despite being so close to Vin and the danger he posed.
With Vin gone for the moment, the cage he'd formed around them banished, too. One moment she couldn't move from the shock and the next, she sprung up from the ground and ran toward Arte. Nuria didn't say a word, she couldn't until she closed the gap between them. She threw her arms around Arte the moment she reached her and squeezed her tight. She was real and she was here, that's all Nuria needed. For a while, Nuria had thought that Arte had been killed, but she should have known better. If anyone was going to survive, it was going to be her former roommate. Nuria let out a deep sigh of relief and she held on to Arte. Nuria was never one to cry in front of others, she liked to put up a tough act, but she was tired. She didn't feel like her old self, she hadn't in a long time. She needed someone to remind her of the fire that had lived in her eyes before.

精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. TAG @nuria, @nike, @aaron WORDS count here NOTES say something nice | And then he was gone…vanished through the wind as it soon took his presence. Marking him as though he never stepped foot into her territory. Rayne frowned, a mouse managed slid from her calculating grip. That wouldn’t do… but at the same time her cover had been saved. She hadn’t needed to cast aside her defenceless maiden façade. She had all been expecting that blade to hit. What she hadn’t taken note was a sudden rescue heading their way in form of an older ravenette. A quick kick dispatched the oncoming blade, rendering its destination from her, towards the ground.
That’s one thing she can safely say has been crossed out of her list still the feeling of being the proverbial fish in a barrel hadn’t escaped her just yet. Because that’s exactly what their predicament is. All three girls trapped within a barrel made out of swords. If the situation wasn’t exactly insinuating at both her paranoia and pride in her ability to slip through anything a kin to a snake slithering off, she might have found the whole issue comedic. Life and death aside, definitely ignore the life and death moment there with someone obviously after one of their hides if not all of them. He already proved to be aggressive. The girl mused, those innocent blue orbs of hers watched the upcoming encounter with interest. Hiding behind those pretty blues lurked the sadistic soul already eyeing the emotionless preteen with keen interest.
At least she was starting to get interested… interested enough to forego some of her cover to play a game of cat and mouse but then he disappeared. He left the stage with not so much of a warning, causing the inner sadist in her to whine in protest. Like a kid getting her lolly stolen out of her grip. Rayne was not very amused at her new toy escaping. But she cant do nothing about it. Quite literally unless she learns how to phase through solid objects. She had to wait, wait until the final second struck out of five minutes when those swords began to disperse into multiple particles made out of chi. It was gone by the time she took a tentative step out of their makeshift cage. But the first step was not hers when the second ravenette sped past her towards their unknown savior. Too many dark haired people in this school, she barely listened to the ebony male’s words instead her gaze drifted towards her fellow blond whom stood silent after all this. She could just see the conflict arising from those darkened blue orbs. She thrived in the prospect of chaos, inner chaos was one of her favourite types as its one of main factors flavorizing a good recipe for drama.
“Kitty do you know these people by chance?” She queried, snapping the younger ‘male’ out of his reverie. The boy glanced her way, the conflict warring inside him now well hidden underneath an impenetrable mask. A mask she was so tempted to challenge. Katya took her time to reply, weighing in her choices before she reluctantly nodded. “…You could say that…” She didn’t elaborate on it further. The war inside her was still going on full blast. On one hand she did miss her friends, they were the only ones who really accepted her despite the short time they spend together while the other side… constantly reminded her of her issues, on why she should keep her distance. Still seeing them now, especially Nuria’s emotional state wasn’t helping the side that wanted to keep its distance. She stayed quiet though, watching the duo while at the same time trying to decide whether or not to slip away unnoticed or to actually approach. Rayne though. Wasn’t sticking around when the excitement was long over. Their school work already long forgotten due to the excitement. “I’ll go scout out a nice spot to do our art work, ill send you a quick message whenever I find it!” The girl chirped, waving at the younger blond without allowing him to reply, she soon skipped ahead deeper into the woods.

I’m Still Breathing, There was a whirlwind of emotions playing within her but on her exterior she was all but stern and cold as stone. This person in front of her and affected her life more than she liked to admit, even now she still suffered for what he did and for what they did together. She had it in her mind to kill him, right there and right now. But she knew with everyone around that wouldn’t happen, as much as her muscles twitch and her eyes narrowed and her jaw clenched.
As she expected he knew who she was, his aura displayed his recognition of her but it didn’t of the others…Artemis wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or something that saddened her. Not saddened her because he forgot them but saddened her because he forgot who they were to him and what he did to them. She wanted him to hurt more than anyone would ever know. Squaring her body she waited, Vin wasn’t stupid enough to fight her here – not with all these people around. It was with that acknowledgement that she noticed his movements, he seemed in some sort of conflict and she watched him with interest as he bent to the ground. Energy was gathering around him and it was starting to become blinding that Artemis was forced to raise her arm to shield her eyes. With a crack the light was gone and Artemis could felt his energy retreating from them.
Slowly she lowered her arm and let out a long breath, her body wanted to collapse but the adrenalin in her wouldn’t allow it. When would she have her chance to be saved from her own demons? Was the last thought she had before she felt something warm and scared wrap around her waist. Nuria. Artemis’s features soften as she let herself be hugged. It was a sensation she hadn’t had in a while and it made her feel so nostalgic. On top of that she felt Nuria’s heat, as a fire user they rarely were cold and when they loved you, their warmth was so overwhelming and comforting. A few tears dropped down Artemis’s cheek as she raised her arms to wrap around the crying girl in the hopes to comfort her and let her know she wasn’t alone, she was here with her. But as she did her thoughts weren’t just on her lost friend in her arms but on Dartz, and secretly her tears were also for him. Nuria’s warmth reminded her of him and made it painfully obvious he wasn’t here. It made Arte hold Nu tighter.
“Hey…long time.” She said after a moment with a soft smile on her lips. The tears had stopped, only having been there for mere moments before she kept them in check. Letting Nu hug her as much as she wanted Artemis moved her gaze to Kat “You ok?” Artemis was never good with emotions, this was the best she could do right now, especially with everything swirling around inside her. One thing was for sure though, with the gang back Artemis did feel happier even with Vin still out there and the coming battle she knew only she could fight.
