POWER DESCRIPTIONS
What do your powers do? How controlled are they? How do they affect your character and the people around them. Please be rather specific if you can.
APPEARANCE
With Siobhan, what you see is what you get. It's not that she doesn't care about her appearance, but raised by her two older brothers she doesn't know a thing about makeup, or the secret world of girls. So when people ask about her unnaturally toned skin, or if the vibrant green of her eyes, she can only shrug and say 'she was born that way'.
Her long dark hair is often swept back into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. The only reason she hasn't chopped it all off is because her brothers often said it reminded them of their mother, a woman Siobhan never met.
Siobhan has a tall willowy form that's never hard to distinguish from the sleek clothing she wears. She's not really an accessory kind of girl, but she'll never go without the visor-scope her brother made for her. The odd piece of technology quite easily sets her apart if her odd, almost alien-like appearance doesn't already.

PERSONALITY
Siobhán keeps the conversation short when she can. She's not entirely rude, but her way of dealing with social situations is to avoid them entirely. Spending the majority of the time with her two rather non-commital brothers, or practicing for the cirque off on her own, Siobhán's social skills could use some work. While she's capable of navigating almost any social situation, she has a great difficulty maintaining them. Her social ineptitude has led to her quiet and almost shy nature, preferring to delve deep into her own headspace than talking to her peers.
Given her fierce desire to succeed at everything she tries, Siobhán has developed a very focused and dedicated work ethic. When she sets her mind to something, she stubbornly pursues it until she sees it through. This applies to sports and studies as well as her relationships with other people, though she seldom has any motivation to pursue any kind of friendship.
Despite her lack of close friends, Siobhán is kind (at least from her perspective) to everyone. She often finds herself doing small, generous things to help others around her. If attention is ever drawn to her in those circumstances or people appear to notice, she's quick to deny ever being helpful, even appearing a little hard on herself just to get out of the spotlight.

BIOGRAPHY
For Siobhan, there was never a big 'life story' to tell, or at least there was never anything worth telling. From the time she was old enough walk, she held a deep fascination for acrobatics. This was in part due to her oldest brother Ronan being a silk artist in the community circus. Siobhan was fascinated by how easy he made it look, dancing with the silk as though he were a spider weaving an intricate web.
Her parents were never part of the picture, so when Siobhan was six years old, she convinced her brother to teach her everything he knew about the circus. This became the beginning of one of the best friendships she's ever had, and by the time she was ten years old, Siobhan officially joined the circus. Her aerial silk act was one that had floored many, leaving the crowd gaping at her ambitious and yet beautiful performance.
Siobhan became so invested in her acrobatics, that her second brother decided to teach her something else. Without the aid of their parents, her brothers introduced her to various activities and classes outside of school, hoping that something else would catch her interest. For a year Siobhan drifted from piano lessons to the cello, girl scouts, to sailing, when something finally got her eye, firearms.
She had only ever wanted to spend time with her brothers, and when she caught site of Kellan in his funky looking earmuffs shooting up a paint splattered hay bail, something inside of her just clicked, like I want to do that.
For days her brothers argued. Ronan thought it was improper to teach a little girl to handle a firearm, and Kellan thought no better of teaching her to perform in the circus. When at last the brothers had decided on a reasonable ultimatum, Siobhan was made to wait until she was at least twelve years of age to hold a firearm.
Under the careful guidance of her brother, Siobhan learned a variety of firearms, but it was the rifle she came to love the most. Proud of how well his sister handled her growing circus act and firearm training, Kellan set to making something special just for her. The weapons engineer designed an infra-red visor coupled with a scope. It wasn't something he figured she would ever need, but her brother still poured every scrap of knowledge and skill he had into making it.
He'd intended to give it to her after her performance at the circus. It had been a big performance too. Her aerial acrobatic performance had made a name for their little community circus, and scouts from all over were supposedly coming to watch. 'Widowmaker' had been the name of her act, a title derived from her expert weaving of silks and her long slender limbs that gave her the likeness of a spider. However mid performance, something went terribly wrong.
Siobhan can only remember it like she'd run out of fabric. One moment she was twirling and spinning and tangling herself up nice and snug and the next her fingers were grasping at empty air. Hundreds of spectators had watched the little girl fall almost forty feet down to the ground below.
The accident brought the 'Widowmaker' and her circus career to a bone-shattering halt. Siobhan ended up in the hospital with a severe concussion and a fractured pelvis. A few weeks after the incident is when she first discovered her abilities. It was that odd sensation, the feeling of fabric slipping through her fingers that woke her with a start. Her brothers had first discounted it as some sort of brain trauma until they saw the pale silvery strands that seemed to trail from their sister's fingers while she slept.
Immediately her brothers started talking about sending her away to some 'special' school. They claimed to know about the place through 'friends', but Siobhan was unconvinced and the last thing she wanted was to leave her family. She ignored the odd incidents where she felt random spider webs on her hands or her sudden sensitivity to anything seismic.
When they finally heard back from the staff at Aurora, her brother's were overjoyed. Siobhan refused to go for her second year of high school, but when Ronan promised she could return to the circus as soon as she finished her studies, she grimly accepted. To this day she can't fathom why she's being sent to a 'special' school and has discounted her abilities as 'odd occurrences'.
