Computer Courses
Programming I, II, & III
This class will teach students many different programming languages, and starts off at an easy to learn pace, and goes into more challenging programming languages as students progress through the courses.
Development & Design
Throughout the course students are introduced to planning and designing effective web pages; implementing web pages by writing HTML and CSS code; enhancing web pages with the use of page layout techniques, text formatting, graphics, images, and multimedia; and producing a functional, multi-page website.
Media Courses
Journalism
This course presents a study of journalistic news, feature, and sports writing. Emphasis is placed on basic news writing techniques and on related legal and ethical issues. Upon completion, students should be able to gather, write, and edit news, feature, and sports articles.
Mass Media Communications
This course gives students an intensive, hands-on introduction to multimedia reporting. Multimedia reporting is defined as the effective and ethical use of text, still photographs, video clips, audio, graphics and interactivity for the Web.
Photography Courses
Traditional Photography
In this course, students will use a traditional camera and dark room. They will learn how to take and process their own photos in a more traditional sense.
Digital Photography
In this course, students will learn how to take photos using high powered digital cameras, and how to upload and edit them using a variety of different programs.
Design Courses
Interior Design
Students are introduced to basic technical and creative concepts in lighting interior spaces, with emphasis on the architectural aspects of lighting design. Human factors, color, materials, and the behavior of light are discussed. Students work on studio projects and develop interior lighting plans and specifications
Clothing Design
This course is ideal for students, seamstresses and anyone interested in the fashion business and design quality. Since a fashion designer wears many hats, you will gain knowledge about everything from haut couture to budget clothing and that design is about performing research, knowledge of fabric, coordinating color and texture and monitoring quality and fit.
Filming Courses
Film Development
Learn how to make a movie—how to shoot and direct a film and edit your footage with software like Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Learn filmmaking from the pros with tips from featured Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) directors, screenwriters, and producers.

Learn all the important behind the scenes information. Learn how to use soundboards, the importance of lighting, set design, and makeup artistry.
