HELLO IS JUST ANOTHER WORD I NEVER LEARNED TO PRONOUNCE Time to make food! Arlo was excited to make food today. Cooking was a natural pass time for him. Unfortunately he was the only one who ever seemed to eat his own cooking. The idea of letting other people taste his dishes made him feel happy, at least at the thought of it. He brought ingredients with him to cook and hummed a small tune to himself as he made his way from his dorm to the common area. He was hoping the kitchen might be empty. He could avoid the other people but there was no saying that the person may not want to start a conversation. Arlo got very into his cooking and tended to ignore his surroundings. Concentration was key to his dishes coming out well because he made sure to make proper measurements and everything. He reached the common area and looked around, noticing someone was already in the kitchen cooking. He groaned, obviously disappointed in what he already knew. He really didn't want to have to cook around other people-- odd considering he was thinking of sharing his food. But cooking was the one thing he could do quietly and alone. Declaring this an inevitable situation he wandered over curiously and almost peered over the other's shoulder, however with a good distance apart from them. Arlo enjoyed his space. "What're you making?" His voice was delicate and quiet. It was apparent he didn't speak up often because he couldn't seem to carry a very loud voice to him. 精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. TAG @arlo WORDS count here NOTES say something nice | Cooking and Katya had a long-standing war with each other. Hot or cold, whether it was to prepare something quick and easy she never gets through with it unscathed. Was like someone up there deliberately cursed her to be unlucky in making her own food. She thought nothing of it at first, before when she first started living away from her home during her years working as an idol. They thought moving her into the dorm housing owned by the company would make it less of a hassle for her to commute home. Plus it was near her current schooling at the time.
So it worked either way for her. The only thing she hadnt regarded that time was food, her schedule rarely allowed her the luxury to experiment or fully learn how to utilize it without ending up giving her co-workers a few coronaries. She swore she nearly gave her unit partner a few during the first two months just from the cuts alone. Oh the blood, a lot of blood. She nearly winced recalling those events.
Though now here she was again. Back in a kitchen facing her arch nemesis in the form of the kitchen knife as she carefully tried chopping a ripened tomato on the cutting board. Her hand shook a bit, still feeling wobbly handling the knife. Concentrate…she reminded herself. Concentrate because every time she allowed it to slip it often resulted in disaster.
She sighed… taking in the momentary silence the empty kitchen provided her with. No one was in sight. The common rooms lay empty. Not a single noise broke through her veil of silence. It was strange having the place empty on a warm afternoon but she guessed they were probably out enjoying the rare warmth during spring. A sneeze tickled her nose, tempting a small puff to slip out of her lips but she held it back. She was handling food. It wouldn’t do well letting slobber touch her lunch. Warmth…her gaze flickered to the window. Watching as a few leaves rode through a gust of wind. Sunlight blinding through the glass, made her blinked. She saw a few students hanging out by the gardens. Either by walking on the grounds or just lazing about on the grass. It really did looked nice out. But she didn’t feel like heading out. Which was why she was inside. On her own, another sigh slid out of her lips. Followed by a yawn as she placed the knife down on the board. Flexing her right hand a bit to rid itself of numbness from clenching tightly on the hilt of the knife. Before picking it up again. Would have been nice… Her mind began drifting into her thoughts. Footsteps neared her but she hadn’t noticed it too engrossed was she on filtering through her list of things to do she hadnt noticed another presence walk into the room. Her hand pushed the blade through the flesh of the tomato. Cutting another slice out of when…
"What're you making?"
A foreign voice reached her ears. Soft as it was hadn’t stopped her heart from leaping into her throat. Her thoughts promptly tossed her mind back into her body as it flinched. Of course… being her she hadnt noticed the knife jumped on her grip and onto her other hand which was holding the tomato still. She hadnt noticed as the sharp edged sliced through her skin with the same ease as a hot knife through butter until blood spurted from the wound. Followed by the sting she knew oh so well. She dropped the knife, but by then it was already too late. She eyes quickly turned to her hands. Watching as the blood gushed out from the wound. The blood already gone to the fruit. Too late to try and save that one… “…Was trying to make a salad…” She spoke quietly, unfazed by the fact she was currently bleeding out from her hand. Without glancing back to the boy she hesitantly left her work station. Walking over to the faucet where she placed her hand under the crane. Turning the knob on the hot water she watched the water gush out of the faucet. Soaking her hand as the water washed out the blood. Crap… she nearly cursed. She didn’t have her pills. She just hoped the bleeding would clot itself over if not… well shit.

HELLO IS JUST ANOTHER WORD I NEVER LEARNED TO PRONOUNCE Arlo had planned to get conversation with this person over with. Simple as that. Then he'd go about his own business. However... that was not what was on Arlo's schedule apparently. His voice was soft and calm, according to the many faces he'd met before. He'd been compared to a mouse and a hamster, a strange analogy, but a representation of the voice he carried. To think he could scare this person... It caught him off guard. Blood. Lots of blood. "A-Ah! H-How.. Wh-What!" His voice cracked and he stumbled back a few steps while the other individual calmly handled the situation and headed over to the sink. How was she so calm? That was a question that stumbled upon his thoughts for a mere millisecond before it went blank, then gave him leeway for a proper panicked reaction. "A-Are you okay!? I-I'm sorry.. Umm..!" He stumbled over to Katya and tried to get a clear visual of her hand, though kept his distance. "You should disinfect that! It could get infected. Uh.. Um... Let me help! I know how to handle knife wounds... so please let me help its the least I could do, I-I have stuff back at my room I could grab for you. I'm not really that fast but I'll try my best! You really should leave that..." The words spilled out of his mouth so quickly he hadn't realized he was wasting his time rambling. Arlo, one to never try and initiate contact with someone, went over and tried to reach out for the other's wounded hand. "L-Let me see it!" But the blood in the sink was making him dizzy. Then his initial thought popped into his head. "How!" He screamed. "How are you so calm?" He felt his heart beat grow rapid. He had tuned into the fast beats and he became conscious of how much he was panicking. Wouldn't everyone? Wasn't it normal to be even a little concerned over cutting your hand? Or was he overreacting? "Um..!" His voice cracks were getting worse and it sounded like he was going through puberty all over again with the constant shift in his voice. However he always seemed to be like that, especially during a panic. It was harder to hear it because his voice was so quiet, however when he panicked it was very clear. Arlo's voice was unstable when his adrenaline was rushing. Katya Kanazaki HOW DO I SAY I'M SORRY 'CAUSE THE WORD IS NEVER GONNA COME OUT?

精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. TAG @arlo WORDS count here NOTES say something nice | Really it was scary as it was a nuisance. The guy was taking things a bit out of pretence. More or less making a better deal out of a tiny injury despite it being not so tiny in his eyes. But to her, someone who’s been far less of a friend towards their kitchen knife. This was a common occurrence enough to desensitized her reactions towards it. So seeing the boy panicked upon chancing to see blood decorating the cutting boards. His ramblings further more urged her eyebrow to arched while she washed out the blood from her hands.
Damn… it wasn’t slowly. She frowned. Again she wasn’t surprised. Her ‘condition’ often led to her being slow on the clotting part. “It’s really not that bad…” She found herself saying. Even as her head starting to feel light from blood loss. Maybe sitting would be good. She glanced around the kitchen. Letting her gaze search for a suitable place to rest her bum. Anything really, if needed she’ll just sit on her butt on the floor and possibly bleeding on the floor but that didn’t sound like something she wanted to happen. Cleaning was going to be a bitch… last time she checked that would cause her death.
He came near again. She watched him move through the corner of her eyes. He was such a meek thing. Kind of reminds her of a mouse trying to sneak out of a corner. He sounded genuine in his worry. Her wound throbbed reminding her that her hand slowly bleed out blood she needed to live. She merely shook it off. Any concerns on her face lingered for maybe a few minutes before it stilled back into her blank façade. If she panicked now…she was damn sure the boy was going to follow with. She didn’t put much stock into his nerves. The boy didn’t look like someone who can handle too much stress. So she kept her concerns to herself. Blocking it from appearing on her façade. “I’m fine…really.” She softly mumbled, her tone barely audible. So soft she had depend on the boy being near for it to be heard.
Her quiet pleas fell on deaf nears when he grasped her hand. Slicken with new blood pulsating out her the opened wound after being taken out of the water. Her initial reaction was to pry her hand off but she didn’t, instead she allowed him to keep his grip on her bleeding limb. The dizziness was starting to creep in now blinking away most of it until she pulled out one of the stools closer to her position. Without waiting for him to say anything she quickly sat down, sighing in relief as the world momentarily stopped turning. Maybe…she wasn’t so fine now. An eye lazily glanced over to the poor panicking child. His body language was all tensed, he was already panicking. There goes her suspicion. Proven right once more. “There’s…. a first aid kid… next to the cupboards over there. Just grab me a roll of bandage should be fine with that.” Katya requested. She could always go to the nurse’s office. Or possibly… ask for a few blood tablets.
