Estelle Hisakawa
FEMALE. | EIGHTEEN. | HETEROSEXUAL. | 4th YEAR VOCALIST. |
SIREN'S SONG. | Levitation. |
POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Both abilities are in her complete control.. Although the second one is debatable.
Siren's Song: Estelle is able to perfectly control her Siren's Song, most likely from using it most often. Although she doesn't often like using it all that often, one can find that traces of it seeps through in her speech. Siren's Song more often acts to draw in a crowd and lull them into a gentle sense of security, or to simply distinguish a voice out of many. Her songs can put a crowd to sleep if she so wished it to, but never once would Estelle ever wish to use this for harm. Of course, she is capable of temporary hypnotism through her voice, although again, the odds of her using that are slim to none unless she would like to calm a riot or something. Estelle more often uses it for her career - not that she really needs it too much anymore. Nowadays, she uses it only to attract attention when she needs it.
Levitation: Even now, she finds this ability ironic. As the name implies, she is able to float suspended in the air for extended periods of time, but she has to be conscious for this ability to work (because she'll plummet to the ground if she sleeps in the sky). However the biggest concern is that she doesn't use this ability all too often, and therefore is just a slight unstable. It doesn't help how she is terrified of heights and she'll even feel uneasy if her feet aren't on a surface. You'll barely see her using this unless she's trying to flee, in which case she'll more than gladly float a few feet up - but no more than that.

APPEARANCE
Estelle has always had light, pastel blue hair. Bright, amber burnt eyes and a thin structure. Standing at 5'5", she isn't far too short but people can't exactly say that she's really that tall either. When in school, her hair is tied back into two hoop-lets that fall down to her mid-back with her uniform neatly put on in the morning. Casual wear consists of loose, airy clothing with a dark blue or dark purple colour scheme, complimented with yellow and orange to bring out her burning amber eyes. Her hair is often let down, or she would tie it into two, low twin tails. Stage attire is a dark blue dress with a yellow inner, along with bright yellow lacing that glow faintly in the dark during night or dark performances. Her hair is split up into four sections, the back two in pony tails while the front two are kept together in lace scrunchies that match the outfit. She often puts on a little bit of make-up, but only because she's on stage. Something that stays consistent however, are the star earrings that dangle from each ear.
Weighing between 115-120 pounds, Estelle has a rather well developed body and a good frame/figure to go with it. This is mainly due to both metabolism and how she keeps an eye on her diet. One can often find her out jogging now and then in the mornings or in the evenings, just so that she could stay healthy. Funny enough, Estelle personally doesn't seem to care much about her own appearance. Of course, she cares only because it's her image and her career; but so long as she is healthy and feels comfortable in her own skin, she doesn't see much of a problem. She however, has a scar caused by a cut running down from her hip to her mid-thigh.

PERSONALITY
First and foremost, Estelle is responsible, diligent, sweet and modest. Being the eldest sister amongst three other children, she has always taken up the more motherly or elder sisterly role in her surroundings or groups. She is sensible and compassionate, understanding and doesn't try to hide it when she cares for other people. Much like a mother herself, she is both loving and can be slightly protective, although she knows better than to be far too nosy so much that it actually hinders others. Open-minded, sweet, and adaptable, Estelle doesn't seem to find it very hard trying to speak to others - in fact, she doesn't mind at all. Estelle, from working, knows how to speak to other people fairly well and can often spark up a conversation without very much a problem. Her usual calm and soothing presence makes her appeal as trusting and submissive, so it's not uncommon for people to gravitate towards her light and kind heart. Another good thing is that she is quite the multitasker, and she speaks both respectfully and politely. As a result of her work, she is ambitious and organized, being able to arrange most of her own events and jobs on her own with minimal help from her manager.
On the other hand.. People often worry about her. As great as she may seem, she's actually a huge klutz. Clumsy and forgetful, and sometimes even a bit hypocritical or dishonest (mainly white lies, or when she is reluctant to admit something). She is also quite a bit of a worrywart, and may or may not try to press you on some more information - although she usually stops if she feels as though you're really, really not going to let her and she's just making the situation worse. Estelle is fairly apologetic, but mainly because she isn't the type of person to take denial very well due to her constant need to be a perfectionist (that is, the stress that she's always put under as a large scale singer). She's gullible and impatient, so sadly, it's also quite easy to manipulate her or fool her into thinking on a narrow path. Due to the fact that she's never looking for trouble, it's also easy to push her around until she's at her limit - at which is when she'll put her foot down and speak firmly up until she finds that it's even more difficult to deny others.
The stress from the overload of work can often get to her, making her picky and fairly reserved when under said stress as means to not be a bother to anyone. She is.. A little complicated, but only because she unintentionally contradicts herself. She's a little dishonest, but she's also a terrible liar. The biggest flaw, however, is the fact that she is very uncomfortable when touched by males due to a traumatizing event in her past.

BIOGRAPHY
TW: Abuse, Suicide Attempt, and Assault Attempt.
Blaring lights and the cheering of fans now isn't a foreign feeling or sight - especially not to you. Many called you Cosmic, your stage name for many to know of. Wealthy from your own efforts, and genuinely known world-wide due to your ability to sing in different languages, and the diversity in your genres had appealed to the majority. Your rise to stardom isn't exactly the least well known story, but what came before that has been lost in history - for none but yourself knows what you were thinking or what you had gone through.
As it always started, you were only a farm girl. By the countryside, your grandparents lived in rural Japan and you moved to the Western Countries before any of your siblings were born. From there, your parents both engaged in farming where you would help when you were able to start walking and talking. What made things easier for all of you was the fact that you all happened to have some sort of ability, at least, your parents had hoped that you would be inheriting some form of ability from them. Between your mother's weather summoning and your father's anti-gravity, you were never quite so sure about what you'd be capable of picking up. But in the end, you chose not to dwell because you'd be having a young brother, and two younger sisters coming along.
Always so responsible and diligent, you were always taking care of your siblings while also attending to the farm work. A modest family of 5 at the time, however the very warm, and same tight-knit family held a fairly.. Unpleasant method of raising their children. You see, your father always favoured your younger brother and your sister, especially after you took an interest in vocals and music. Much as you both loved each other, your father often found himself breaking the instruments you buy, making you more busy, claiming that this music wasn't anything that was going to be of interest int he future. Your mother, being as silent and passive as she was, was unable to say much of anything and eventually only joined him in the bashing of your own self-esteem and confidence in your interests. Always claiming that they were worried about your academics, despite the fact that you were always doing well. Part of you however, always felt pressured to do the best lest both your parents would end up hating you otherwise.
... The rest that happened between your childhood years, was something that you would erase from existence if you could. After your family fell into debt by your father's constant gambling and shady dealing, everything around your family fell apart until you ended up moving over to a much more suburban area, all after selling your farm. Luckily, you were able to get the education you needed from where you lived, but you always listened to your parents fighting. You always heard their screaming, although you told yourself that you had to be a good sister and take care of your younger siblings - that's really all that you could do. As a result, both your mother and father ended up releasing their pent up anger and agitation towards you in the form of both physical and emotional abuse - but you never said anything in return. Rather, you always stayed silent and you couldn't bare to put your siblings through such hardships if you were to actually tell anyone about your parents. You were tied by the reigns. So what could you do? All you did was sit around, smiling to your siblings and making sure they were okay while you spent countless nights trying to hide the bruises and injuries caused by the adults.
But you never did engage in self harm - perhaps you were always just so too scared of doing so. Rather, you figured that all this problem came from the fact that your family was in heavy debt - hence why you went out of your way to make money. All the money that you made, you gave to your parents. Although they would always throw it out, saying that it was far too little and that you shouldn't be trying to act all superior. They took it as an insult, and all you could do was stand by and watch in silence. Your siblings watched as you took their wrath, and in the end you became less and less able to go out and see an old friend who happened to be living next to you, an old childhood friend who went by Walther. Although, that's not to say that you didn't sneak out now and then to hang out with him. When you were found out, you were usually shut in your room for days before being let out for school and the like.
Months later, you heard what had happened to Walther when he went on a trip with his parents, and you fell into a state of grief and depression at the assumed loss of a friend. Your marks dropped considerably, and your parents couldn't settle for less and so the abuse got even worse. It wasn't long until you attempted suicide by hanging, but your siblings were able to save you before you suffocated to death. After being saved, you could just feel the tears welling up and falling to the ground as you apologized to your younger siblings. However, your siblings never viewed you the same way. After your parents found a rope in your room shortly afterwords, they called you crazy and accused you of all sorts of things, which had once again pushed you over the edge. When you retorted, they called you crazy and said that they had no need to care for a crazy child. From there, they fed your siblings lies to make them loathe you, although you still aren't quite sure what their innocent minds were tainted with up to this day.
You had to endure this for years. When you were 12 years old, it would appear as though a music audition had opened itself up to the public for young talents to show off their abilities for a chance to have a career ahead of them. Having few friends at school encouraging you, you gave in to participate. It's not anything that you haven't done before, especially seeing that you were fairly popular online after sharing your music covers far and wide. Everyone was dazzling, you didn't understand. You didn't have to though, because when it came to your turn, it's as though your voice completely hypnotized the crowd. Personally, you didn't think that it was all that special, but you noticed that it was abnormal to witness that level of.. Deep interest. Of course, your didn't have a bad voice at all. In fact, you had a fairly strong voice that went very well with music in general. Round by round, you passed and for once you actually felt like you were accomplishing something.
You never would have guessed that the audition was what awoken your Siren's Song.
Finally, you succeeded. You received the larger sum of money and gave it to your parents so that they could pay the debt, however as it turns out half of that money was once again put to gambling. You were enraged but.. At this point, you didn't really expect for your father to be doing too much with that. Once again you wandered the streets after school to night, however one day you were scouted by a talent agency who recognized your abilities. Without the consent from your parents, you lied your way to get permission into the music industry. When the internet found out that you went from online vocalist to a real life singer, your fans quickly grew in numbers up until your official debut a few months later. For the first time, you were able to dress up, sing on stage. You were happy.. But when you came back home after a late night, you were once again beaten to near death. There was no power though, most likely because your parents didn't pay the electrical bill again. There wasn't much water now, either. Probably because they didn't pay for the hydro bill either. You sighed at this sorry state, but you know that you had made money off of selling your records and music. You had also travelled quite a bit, and met Koda by having him perform with you after this audition from town to town.
So, you told your parents that you were working, and you gave them your money little by little every week so that they could do whatever with it. It looks as though they were actually willing to pay off the debt now, and you could hear the yelling slowly decreasing. Unfortunately, they found out about your entire music jazz by the time you were 16 years old, and things just got.. Ugly. Because you defied them, you did something that would attract attention, and your father nearly stabbed you with the intent to kill after you just 'messed everything up'. Luckily, you were able to flee. However, that didn't stop him from grazing the skin on your outer thigh, and so there is now a scar running down from the hip to the mid-thigh. You fled and explained the situation to your manager, and after that they came to pick you up and let you stay at their place for the night away from your family.
You stayed there for a few days, and you were only lucky that you manager had been kind enough to let you stay over. However, in the midst of the night after a few days, he ended up walking into your room and doing.. Not exactly the most appropriate things that you should be doing to a teen your age. Panicking, and officially traumatized, you kicked and screamed at the assault before finally managing to run out. However, you hadn't gone unscratched and are now officially terrified. Though you didn't call the cops, you ran out without your stuff and hid in the stairwell for the rest of the night. You couldn't sleep at all as a result of anxiety and paranoia.
The day after, you called a taxi seeing that you at least had your wallet on you. You were able to go to the agency and reported your manager, genuinely terrified that he had tried to attack you. This was certainly a serious issue, and he was arrested for assault against a minor and you were assigned to have a female manager instead to ease your worries. After that, there was also a scandal but it had eventually died down. It became something that people just.. Didn't want to talk about anymore. It was a terrible thing that happened, and now people were quiet. You cried for a while, but you recovered and went back to your performing. of course, you had support from your fans - the same couldn't be said about your family, especially because they verbally abused you even further by bringing up the event.
Unable to take any more of this, you ran away from home for a small number of days. You explained your situation to your manager and the two of you planned to go confront your parents yourselves, however it turns out that they all moved back to Japan without telling you, just as they have planned for weeks at this point. Their sudden departure left you in a state of shock, and you nearly fell into another state of depression. However, you were able to tough it out by brushing it asides and focusing on other things, soon enough you found serenity by devoting yourself to your career. Although, part of you perhaps realized this unhealthy habit and broke off it. The year before you started attending school full time again, you had learned that you were able to levitate (much to your distaste, seeing that you're terrified of all things heights).
In the end, you chose that it would be best for you if you were to attend school and maybe work out a career for yourself. Your manager, kind as she was, acted as your guardian and enrolled you into a school with people of similar gifts, and now you wouldn't have to worry about others finding out about your abilities. You just want to be able to apply for something that isn't music, should your career fail you. Although, that uh.. Wouldn't be happening any time soon. Though you have put your career on haitus for your studies, that doesn't mean that you haven't been using your vacations for a couple of performances here and there. You seem to be having fun at this school.. Although you've only been here for a year, and lets just say that you're hoping that the school year isn't as.. Hectic as the last.
