Thus, he continued on with eyes upon his own targets- and upon his own targets alone. It was a given that he could still feel the others' presences around him as they moved in tune with their own routines and strikes in the distance, and even the stride of those who walked in and out of the room itself- though whether or not he gave a damn about them was a completely different story, and one that held a rather obvious conclusion by the hardened and focused expression occupying his face. Much like he had been doing since the second he had begun his own little regime, Anderson only found a continuous interest in both making and striking his marks, all while ramping the speed of his own attacks even further as time rapidly progressed onwards. Similar to various other experiences that he had gone through in the past ever since arriving at the academy, this was one thing that he was well accustomed to due to how linear and predictable hitting a simple punching back while turning to strike a few more that flanked him on all sides was. It was just a warm up, after all; something to help him freshen his reflexes once more after a small break over in the kendo dojo. Nothing more, and something that was the farthest from difficult for him at that point.[break][break]

Which was exactly why he noticed straight away when something changed; when something happened that obviously wasn't supposed to happen.[break][break]

For him, it was a simple, well-known fact of physics that, after he had struck a given back, it would veer backwards before its momentum ceased, only to reverse and swing back towards him before he hit it once more to repeat the cycle. With the way he was constantly turning, and at the speed that he had achieved in record time, he delivered a frightening amount of kicks and punches alike within no more than two or three seconds, though kept a solid focus on each back when he turned towards it. Splicing through the air, his fist thrust outwards in order to strike the bag that was in front of him after making another turn, though found it suddenly veering away despite him having not even touched it again. At once, he knew something was wrong, and had frozen for a split second before noticing it begin to careen back at him- and by that point, instinct had completely taken over, compelling him to evade by spinning around and sidestepping over, but not without using the momentum from said spin in order to induce a leaping kick to strike another punching back that he had struck more recently. Once he landed upon his heels again, he assumed a calming stance while catching his breath silently, staring with a lack of emotion at the bag that had seemingly threatened to fight back before slowly taking a glance around the room. Needless to say, his eyes landed upon the newcomer in less than a few seconds, and he simply looked him over before taking a deep breath. In the back of his head, he allowed a few, not-so-friendly and appreciative remarks to cross his mind, though ultimately covered it up with a quick, scarily realistic and foolproof smirk, no matter how small it was, of faked amusement as he gazed at the other.[break][break]

"I'm assuming that right now was you, then?" he asked with an initial touch of what seemed to be amusement, slowly crossing his arms while raising an eyebrow to further amplify the false emotion.

[attr="class","textie"]Fenryll merely stared at the newcomer for a few, brief, and unappreciative moments; emerald voids of his narrowed faintly- though in a seeming indifference and lack of emotion, rather than an immediate sense of annoyance. Taking care to scan this new individual once more for a second or so, he took a brief pause before gradually settling his gaze to meet the others. His expression hadn't even changed a bit, though it was quite obvious that the earlier, admittedly faked demeanor of his had instantly vanished.[break][break]

Uncrossing his arms slowly, the teen slid his hands into their corresponding pockets as his eyes suddenly inherited a faint fierceness and bitterness within them. "You say that like I'd care enough to give a damn," he retorted flatly at first. "I'd like to believe that I'm the one suffering from a dosage of rudeness, seeing as some tiny little imp decided to intrude on someone else's business, and then found it necessary to half-assedly fake it, too."
