▲ Trying his best to hold back his tears. Axel began to cry. However, he didn't seem to know why. He almost never did. Is it because I'm depressed? But how could I be? It wasn't clear to him if he was depressed or not. Well, at least he couldn't tell. He looked through the tall fence that surrounded the roof. Looking over the school campus, and even further to the city. It was a quiet afternoon, but there was still a slight traffic noise coming from the city. Axel was tired and stressed out from chatting and socialising with people for the entire day. He found this extremely tiring and challenging to make conversation with people and reply to people. He had quickly escaped class about 20 or 30 minutes earlier than when everyone else had lunch. Just to come up to the roof and be alone. At the same time, really wanting affection and to rant about his problems to someone. Even though if he could, he wouldn't be able to explain any of his emotions. So far, he wasn't enjoying the school that much. On the other hand, he didn't dislike it all that much either. He wasn't struggling too much with school projects and such. But he was struggling with finding people whom he could trust and befriend. Although, it would help if he joined things such as clubs and if he put himself out there, revealing himself to the outside world.Soon enough, Axel found himself yawning and his eyes slowly closing. He shook his head trying not to doze off. Crying himself to sleep had become a normal thing for him. So he barely noticed when it happened. From behind him, he heard the door to the roof open, with someone emerging from the entrance. He quickly made out a feminine type figure, with slight curves. But hard to make out seeing as they seemed to be wearing baggy clothing. The clouds that had been covering the sun had now moved. Axel quickly scurried off to find a corner but saw that it was too late when the person started heading towards him.Erika Wyndham ● 4 2 5 originally planned with nova but is open to everyone~ MADE BY VEL OF GS

Rischzel Emipher had picked on her again. The chameleon. That snake. And it was for such a petty reason as well. Okay sure, so dying the uniform was a bit much and adding embroidery and taking inspiration from an old cartoon animation hardly helped, but if any girl at Aurora Academy were completely honest with themselves, the uniform itself was bland; drab even. So she wanted to spruce it up a bit. There was nothing in the code of conduct that even explicitly stated that one could not decorate their uniform. And just exactly how was the platinum blonde supposed to know that it was implied? What happened to the freedom of expression? What happened to making things unique? Erika kicked up the dust on the floor. The aquamarine-haired upperclassman knew just how to irritate her and push her buttons. She huffed. Just what made Rischzel so powerful anyway? Why did he have so much influence in the school and over the vast student bodies? What made him better than anyone else? She wasn't afraid of his threats. She wasn't afraid of his harassment. She wasn't afraid of him.Her stomach grumbled in correspondence with her anger and as the second year became more conscious of her surroundings, she found herself nearing the roof. That was a thought. Maybe some fresh air and a bit of sunshine would change her mood. Erika's heels clicked up the stairs as she made her way to the metal door and pushed through it. She was greeted with a large amount of sunshine that caused a glare. Erika shielded her eyes as the clouds in the sky had rolled away leaving nothing but pure sunshine and warmth. She could already feel her countenance get a bit better. Pulling on her bag, she had started to head towards a bleacher area when she saw a figure in the distance, scurrying to a nearby spot to hide. The roof was a big place though and there were hardly any good places to hide. The platinum blonde squinted to eyes to find a young boy, hardly any older than her with ashen-hair and dark eyes with bagging clothes hiding a majority of his figure. His doe, chestnut eyes were swollen and had red tints to them like he had just been crying. Erika said nothing. Sometimes, it was best if questions were never asked. The mixed Brit could relate to that so well. Sometimes, you just wanted a private place where you could vent all of your frustrations and get out a good cry. She made her way to the bleachers setting her bag down and uncovering a large bento box that she had packed earlier this morning. She opened it placing out a couple of trays: One full of rice, another full of meatballs, some ham cut into the shape of a flower with some tomatoes and broccoli, as well as a peeled orange and a few strawberries. Pulling out some napkins and a set of chopsticks and a fork, she called out to the boy. "There's more than enough for the both of us." The second year invited him over, taking a meatball into her mouth as her face carried a cross of expressions between ravenous hunger and pure bliss. Erika had never seen this boy before. Granted, she was new-ish to the school herself and had just transferred, but there were still so many students she hardly new. For now, her closest friend thus far was Emery and even then, they had only met once. Aurora Academy was so big, she was not sure of the next time she would see her. Food, though, had interesting ways of bringing peculiar people together. Uplifting people's spirits seemed to be her thing now, but the blonde had hardly minded, especially if that meant that she was making a new friend in the process. She patted the empty bleacher space in front of her: a silent proposition for him to come over. She wouldn't bite, unless it was into the meatballs of course. ▲ Axel sprinted to find a place to hide. Not wanting to have any sort of human connection whatsoever. Because he knew that he would probably burst out crying by the time he got over there. But he knew that if he kept running, he would just look stupid. Especially because there was nowhere to run. He looked around not seeing any sort of crevice to hide in, or spot to hide behind. He looked around, seeing the greenhouse on the other side of the roof. Axel knew that he couldn't make it. And the girl would call him over. So far, it was appearing that the odds of the situation weren't in Axel's favourLooking in the direction of the girl, Axel the girl start to take out her lunch. Not being quite that hungry at the moment. His conscious urged him to make a run for the door, and avoid her for the rest of his time at the school. He looked over and noticed the girls platinum blonde hair, that seemed to glow in the sunlight. And her magenta eyes, he couldn't tell if they were real or not, but he seemed to just skim over that about her. She wore bright pastel coloured clothes. And seemed to be quite happy about her day. Almost an exact opposite to Axel. She patted the bench next to her, while she took out a set of chopsticks and what seemed to be her lunch.
"There's more than enough for the both of us." The girl said while starting to eat something. He wanted to run away and never see this girl again. But there was something so inviting about her appearance. That made her seem harmless. The sun was still shining brightly above them. Making Axel feel exposed. He had started to build up a slight sweat, but there was a cool wind that was constantly blowing by so it wasn't that bad. Axel knew that if he went over towards her, that anything could happen. He could possibly humiliate himself by tripping or falling. Or not have any words to say when he got there. And stutter like an idiot. He got up and started towards the girl. Once he got next to the bench she was sitting on, he sat across from her. "Hello." His eyes would wander around him, trying not to make eye contact with her.

Erika observed the ashen haired boy’s movements. They seemed a bit frantic at first, like he was trapped prey cornered in a place of no escape. Something very similar to a mouse or a rabbit. From a distance she could see that he was a tiny thing wrapped in baggy clothes. In this weather, the magenta eyed girl had found it a bit odd; he had to have been somewhat warm in his clothing, but who was she to judge him for his style? As long as he was comfortable was what mattered the most. The platinum blonde remained silent while taking a bite out of a strawberry as he seemed to look her over almost in an analytical way. Whether it was to determine if she was a threat to him or not or whether he was determining something else, the half-Brit had no idea. But she could understand if that was his deductive reasoning. Some upperclassmen tended to make a few of the underclassmen nervous, tense even, and some, like Rischzel, were damn well bullies who felt that they were above everyone and everything. Erika quickly stifled the rising anger and passed another placating smile over to him.
The wind whipped gently between them blowing her auricomous strands of hair in the breeze as if it were reinforcing her invitation. Her eyes went back down to her food though she could hear the gentle padding of his shoes shuffle growing louder and louder as he came closer to her area of seating. She looked up to meet him at face value. Upon closer inspection, she saw that he indeed seemed quite young. Erika had to presume maybe a first year, though with her short time being at this school, one thing she had come around to realize was that things were not as they seemed. He could have been another shape-shifter and this form was just the form that he was most comfortable with. Heck, Erika figured that he could have been older than her, but that was the beauty about meeting new people here. You just never know who you could run in to. Another thing that threw the amaranthine-eyed girl in for a loop was physically how similar the two of them looked. Albeit, this boy’s hair was a bit lighter than hers, but if she were to take her contacts off, she could bet that they could possibly pass as brother and sister.
“Hello.”
His voice had snapped her away from the curious observations and musings about this boy in her mind and brought her to the current present time. Though, he seemed not to be much bothered with her dazing. In fact, he seemed not to be making much eye contact with her at all. Erika could not fault him. She had caught him in a rather sensitive moment.
“Oh!~ Hullo!~ Name’s Erika. Erika Wyndham.” She pushed her boxed bento towards the shorter, doe-eyed male. “Like I said, I’ve got plenty to share, if you wanted something to eat.” She paused a moment to pass him a fork. The blonde determined that she would not ask about him crying. Sometimes, things were best left unsaid. And she was not the type to probe simply because she understood. There were times back in Britain and even Japan where she just huddled to herself, found a private place, and just…cried. Be it for her frustrations, for her sadness, whatever ailed her, but she never vented to anyone. She never told anyone about her problems, because some way, she figured that she would be alright. And if she kept smiling, nobody would ask.
“The meatballs are the best.” She gave a hearty laugh, pushing her darker thoughts back to the back of her mind and the darker corners of her heart.

▲ Stumbling over towards the girl, Axel was able to get a closer look at her. Seeing her purple eyes that were almost identical to his. To his surprise, they looked eerily similar. Both having almost the same features. Her platinum blonde hair flowed in the wind, he could also tell that the girl seemed a little uneasy about the situation as well. Still looking around the roof, Axel wiped a small tear from his right eye. She, or Erika, didn't seem that intimidating, instead was more open and friendly. Breathing heavily, Axel sat across from the girl. The sun reflected off of her hair, as she started to talk.“Oh!~ Hullo!~ Name’s Erika. Erika Wyndham.” Axel quickly glanced at the bento box Erika pushed towards him. “Like I said, I’ve got plenty to share, if you wanted something to eat.” Awkwardly staring at the girl, his mind raced with possibilities of what could happen. Trying his best to ignore his darker thoughts related to the situation. Axel conjured up a small smile onto his face. He hadn't talked to many people since he came to this school, finding it extremely hard to approach anyone. So secretly he was glad that Erika approached him, knowing that he would have never met her if she didn't. The girl showed a bright smile, looking extremely happy. Even though Axel just met her, he had a strange jealousy towards her. How she could seem happy at all times and keep smiling even around him. He felt an anger but at the same time, he felt sadness. Wondering if he could ever have an uplifting spirit similar to hers. Even though they were looked eerily similar, it was clear that they had to extremely different personalities. The cool Autumn air surrounded the two, while an awkward silence was exchanged between the two of them. "The meatballs are the best." So far, Axel hadn't said much in the conversation, and he felt like he needed to. But to no avail, he couldn't think of anything to say. Soon realising that she said something, Axel stared at her. He was pretty sure she offered him meatballs, but he wasn't so sure. He took a deep breath deciding to go with his assumption."I-I'm fine." However, Axel wasn't fine. He hadn't eaten much that day, but he decided to endure the pain of hunger. Fearing judgment and the other possibilities that would happen if he did decide to partake in eating her lunch.

The boy had a clumsy way about him that Erika had found to be charmingly complimentary to his features. There was just something about him that Erika could not help but want to protect or at least give him a hug and tell him that everything was going to be alright. Nonetheless, she waited patiently as he wiped a stray tear from his eye. There was a silence between them that was a bit deafening. The white-haired boy stared between the bento box and herself. He seemed on guard and she had hoped that she had disarmed any ideas of ill will or intent. Nonetheless, she watched his lips curl up into a small smile, and that in itself was a lot more settling.
She had watched as he had eyed the meatballs before finally politely declining and she had wondered if she had offended him somehow? Sure, she was not the best at presentation in comparison to some of the elaborate bento boxes her friends' parents back at home made for her friends, but she was pretty confident that they were edible and maybe even enjoyable. Maybe he did not eat meat? She paused before plucking another meatball from the plate with her chopstick and into her mouth. No, they tasted just right to her. Nothing appeared to be wrong with it. Erika slightly crinkled her eyebrows. "Are you sure?" she offered once again. "I..know it's not the best, but sometimes I like to think I can beat the lunch ladies in the cafeteria." the magenta eyed girl gave a small laugh.
She left the bento box between the two of them just in case sooner or later he would want to try any part of it. The wind picked up and with it, cherry blossoms from the nearby campus trees found their way falling on to the roof and scattering about. A true indication that spring was finally here. Well, there was that and the spring dance that was recently announced. Very briefly, she was caught between a grimace and a blush. She could recall a few girls giggling about the dance, but when she thought about it, she really could not think of anyone bothering to ask her to the dance. Her thoughts had drifted to the punk rocker she had met up here before, Koda, but for some reason, a school dance just never seemed like it would be his type of scene. He never really struck her as a "we welcome spring with grateful arms" sort of guy. She was very limited in her choices, but considering all things, Erika was not exactly sure if she would want to attend the event anyway. It was practically unavoidable that skin would be shown with a dress and that would without a doubt she her scars. Something that would probably cause unwanted attention and a few judgmental faces. Maybe it would be for the best if she just skipped the entire event altogether and save herself the embarrassment. It would probably be for the best.
As she glanced back over to the boy who resembled her physically, she noticed that he seemed so deep in thought. It was so concentrated, it made her wander just what was he thinking? The second year student cocked her head to the side and decided that maybe it would be best to learn something about him if more than anything to reduce the blaring silence between them. "So..." she started, kicking her legs about here and there, but not aiming anywhere in particular, "You know my name. Would you like to tell me yours?"
