Theodore Silveira
MALE. | Seventeen. | SEXUAL. | Third Year. |
Artistic Creation. | Illusions. |
POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Theodore's first ability was the ability of artistic creation. From youth he was able to bring anything that he could draw, sketch, paint, etc. to some form of an existence. When he was young, he it was mostly inanimate objects. Small things from here and there. Though the state of existence would always be temporary. As he has gotten to older, he has been able to manifest objects into a state of permanence lasting at the least for a day. At the most for a week.
His more recent power had given him the ability to cast illusions. This, he can do without a need of a drawing utensil and combined with his first power, he can give a non-living object a living form of existence to anything that he can create. The effects though are much more temporary than his first powers at the most lasting three days.

APPEARANCE
Theodore, if he's not lounging around, stands at a full 192 cms tall placing him a bit on the taller side. His build is athletic and surprisingly despite the deceptive thinness, he is actually pretty well-toned with a good amount of muscle. His skin is a smooth, tawny, mahogany brown complexion with naturally golden eyes. Theodore's eye color itself is not the only odd aspect as the eyes seem to always hold some sort of luminescence to them, even in the dark so they give off the same intense golden hue. Theodore's hair was originally all black though, he dyed it purple pretty much just for kicks. As for accessories, he hosts tattoos around his collar bone, multiple bats, as well as a few minimalistic bands around his upper arms. His right ear is lined with piercings, and a tongue piercing though it is barely noticeable so it hardly causes any speech impediments.
As for clothing, despite his lackadaisical and often uninspired mindset, he tends to keep up with fashion trends that most accommodate himself. His closet ranges to wearing tank tops and sweats to a fur-lined moto jacket and skinny jeans. He alternates between wearing light colored and dark colored clothes, though dark colored clothing tends to be his "go-to" fashion. It is during the summer and early fall months that one would see him donning lighter clothing.
He usually abides by the school uniform line, though he tends to not care if his tattoos are showing or not and his shirt is hardly ever tucked in. A tie will also hang loosely from his neck. Messy schoolboy tends to be his favorite look if just to piss off a few teachers.

PERSONALITY
Lazy, uninspired, lackadaisical, or just can't care enough; these qualities all seem to sum up Theodore Silveira. He is the type of guy who would hardly ever raise his hand in class, but still manage to pass unless participation were a big requirement. A slacker is what most would describe Theo as. The brainpower to do school/homework is there, but the will to do it is not.
Theo will go about things at his own pace and will do things at his own time and no one can force him otherwise. If he does not feel like engaging with someone or doing a specific activity, he will easily let it be known by blowing that person off or often ignore whatever instruction is given for him to fulfill.
There is a good morph of sass mixed with an asshole punch that completes Theo's personality. He's not a catty being per say, but he has a sharp way with words that can hurt anybody's feelings and can easily offend. He can be blunt to a fault sometimes, though given certain situations, he still keeps his tact.
Theo can also be quite a bit manipulative and deceptive. His acting could rival an Oscar-award winning actor. He has no problem manipulating people to fulfill his own desires and wishes. He simply might pretend to make friends with a person and once his use for them is done, would completely abandon them and not think twice about it, while faulting you for ever trusting him in the first place.
Beyond the layers upon layers of his bromidic, trite personality, if one manages to get close enough, Theo tends to be highly protective of his friends. He has trust issues, so sometimes, he proves to be a bit insecure. Furthermore, he can even develop a bit of a jealousy streak if not paid proper attention to those whom he considers close too, though he would not particularly act on it unless give a reason or a need for reassurance.

BIOGRAPHY
Theo was born to a single mother in Grande Sao Paulo, Brazil with two older sisters who had completely different fathers from his own. Not that it mattered since a father was never really apparent in his life at all. And to this day, he would rather the bastard never show up in his life. But the family made do and they were a happy bunch living in their compact apartment.
Since his days as an infant, Theodore always had a creative streak inside of him, be it from drawing on the walls to drawing on paper. He was a very articulate lad whose gift for the arts was something that his mother wanted him to continue to develop.
When it came time for school, his sisters and mother would motivate him and help him foster his gifts. His art teachers adored him. His work was typically proudly displayed as centerpieces in the classroom. He generally did well in his other classes, but it was the arts that Theodore shined the most. Some would even say a bit too much.
It was a hot September weekend when Theo and his second oldest sister took a trip to the marketplace. While his older sister went to bargain with the local market ladies, Theo was still doodling in his book. Recently, he had seen "Jaws" and he was continuously drawing the threatening, man-eating shark in his book, until it got out of control. The shark on his page grew in size until it could not longer fit the page and rather than that expanded into reality as a living shark. There was no form of life to the shark, but its mere existence had scared quite a bit of the citizens along the way. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was the first time he had ever heard his new nickname, "menino bruxa," the witch boy.
Life got a bit more difficult after that incident. Despite his mother's wishes for wanting Theo to paint and draw, word had gotten around about the "menino bruxa" and his art teachers became wary. They advised him to take other electives and in the end, Theo had separated himself from the arts completely in middle school and eventually school altogether. He found no other passions to indulge himself in as he could not control what drawings he could bring to life, but he still had his imagination.
Video games sparked his interests from time to time. So did Japanese manga and Korean manhwa. From time to time, he'd play around with those things and let his literally active imagination run free. Though most times, he would be playing by himself. His older sisters by then had hit puberty and cared less about the boyish interests of their little brother.
Alone in the park one fine day was when he discovered his second power of illusions. It started off with small things. Drawing a bird that seemed to flap, fly, and interact like other birds before fading out into a black smoke. He'd draw a squirrel. Then grow bigger to cats and dogs playing with them before they faded to existence.
Someone had been watching him do these things in the distance.
He made two other friends another weekend. Their names were Fausto and Vincente. They were fourteen and the best of friends; inseparable. Vincente was a bit misguided, and sometimes, they would get into things that Theo knew were potentially dangerous. Specifically running as duffel boys for a local gang. But they were thick as thieves and they had gotten out of sticky situations more than once. With the "menino bruxa," hardly anyone crossed them.
Unfortunately, Theo had learned the hard way that it was friends that could double cross you too. Fausto had gotten a better deal from a rival gang. He shot Vincente and murdered him in cold blood while simultaneously blackmailing Theo. After all, who were the police and everyone else going to believe? A misguided yet "normal" kid like Fausto? Or the "menino bruxa?" Someone who could bring things into existence at the mere thought? Someone who wasn't "normal?" Someone who had more potential to kill and not think twice about it?
He was formally arrested a week later. The days of interrogations and nights in jail were torture, but he learned all too well to not trust anyone. To not get too close to anyone anymore. There was no murder weapon to link to Theo so he was released on the case of insufficient evidence. If anyone was prejudiced against him before, they certainly were now.
It grew to a point where he was kicked out of his own house. His mother and sisters were terrified of him; the ones he thought would have his back no matter what. So Theo lived in the streets taking residence with the few connections he had left. He had considered death a couple of times but figured that people would be too happy about his death and he couldn't bear giving anyone that satisfaction.
In drunken stupor, he ran into a scout for Aurora Academy. Theo could not remember much from that night, but the next morning, he had woken up in a completely foreign place with new clothes and a large packet slapped on his leg for a paid internship under a a highly acclaimed local Silver Falls' artist, but most importantly, one HELL of a hangover.
