POWER DESCRIPTIONS

Amelia has the abilities of both Biokinesis and Necromancy. Through Biokinesis, she is able to control all organic matter at the cellular and genetic level to all living organisms. She can regenerate and speed up healing, even going so far as to completely grow back a limb so long as it is biologically possible. However, she is also able to completely destroy cells that come into contact with her (such as plants and animal cells). A big factor that she uses for herself is that she is able to manipulate her own DNA to awaken certain traits in herself if she so wished, however such a process causes great strain on the body and takes several years for visible changes to occur. Biokinesis is both a supportive and deadly ability. Unfortunately, Amelia is unable too control this ability complete seeing that she will kill off cells when startled. Biokinesis requires physical flesh bare contact, hence why she often wears gloves as a counter measure. 

As for Necromancy, Amelia is able to reanimate the dead and communicate with spirits. This comes in the form of summoning, even being able to bring loved ones back for a short period of time. Necromancy can be rather dangerous, however, if the user is inexperienced. If that were to happen, it's possible for hostile spirits to put her in a state of possession. 

APPEARANCE

Amelia is about taller than the average asian female, although still just a tad bit on the shorter side (5'5"). A young woman with a nice figure that she doesn't seem to hide very often, although she knows when to dress appropriately and doesn't hide the fact that she has far too much fun with her body, let it be with her appearance or through her own manipulation to change up her structure. Sometimes, she enjoys messing with others by altering her appearance to the extent of her abilities (because controlling cells take a hell lot of work), although she often stays content with the permanent appearance she has. Took a hell lot of work trying to recode the pigment and such, so at this point, she gave up trying to alter her appearance far too much - she only does it to maintain her youthful and near flawless skin. Typical teenager needs. 

Donning pale pink hair and a set of bright blue eyes, she can easily come off as mature or soothing to the eye. On many standards, she could be considered fairly attractive on it's own (Although she really couldn't care less, so long as she's content with her own appearance). 

She enjoys the eastern and oriental style of clothing, often wearing that or loose and airy clothing. Her favourites though? Oversized sweaters with leggings. She cannot get enough of those, and literally waits for the colder weathers to sink in so that she can curl herself in some. Unsurprisingly, Amelia is fairly picky with her clothing and appearance, being that one person to spend all day before a mirror in an attempt to figure out how she should put her hair up for the day. On the other hand, she seems to pull out whatever from her closet and it works out perfectly fine - she's picky because she wants to look good, feel good, and etc without even having to try. She needs everything to go with everything, you know. 

The biggest thing? She loves wearing jewellery. Amelia absolutely adores the shining gems, and actually pays close attention to their meaning. 

PERSONALITY

Elegant, mature, composed and competent, those are traits that you would think of right off the bat if you were to see Amelia walking down the streets tall and proud.. But honestly nothing can be further from the truth. She's a big child, loving on the smallest things all while wearing her heart on the sleeve. She's easily excited, however is probably the definition of curiosity killed the cat with the amount of close calls she has been in. She can often be found with a bright smile on her face, speaking in a projected voice and easily be seen as confident and out-going without the shadow of doubt. Her presence is able to light up a gloomy room, although people can agree that she can be overbearing at points in time. 

She talks to people without a problem, however she is always hesitant in terms of physical contact. To be more specific, she is more wary of how her ability effects others, and so will always wear a thin layer of gloves to protect others from any accidental alterations that she may cause. Whereas her bubbly attitude can act as her way of diverting her constant worry about implications she can initiate. Contrary to the popular belief, Amelia values the small things in life, ranging from a simple compliment to even asking how her day was can brighten up her character for the next week or so. A fairly bright, creative, innovative and somewhat immature senior who really wants nothing more than to put a smile on her face. 

Despite this, Amelia is amazingly self conscious and has no faith in herself when it comes to physical interactions with others. She is under the impression that although she is surrounded by others with their unique abilities, she's still a freak of nature that holds the ability to manipulate biology at the cellular level. Not to mention that she can summon the damn dead, so that freaks her out a bit. Ironic as it is, Amelia scares easy. She doesn't absolutely despise horror, but she really hates being scared and the fact that she's scared of quite a bit (namely thunder storms, the dark, graveyards and etc) doesn't help her in the slightest. There are times where she can come off as reserved or demanding, but only because she fails to trust herself enough as it is. 

This leads to her being paranoid and, though she hates to admit it, she's been mentally scarred and traumatized due to a mishap in her past. She is very reluctant to both initiate and receive physical contact, which can make her come off as tactless and practically begs for misunderstandings to form. In a sense, most people can say that the event had affected her to the point it's haunting her, and not in the sense that she's doing this to herself - in the sense that she's really trying to move on save the constant voice in the back of her head. 

BIOGRAPHY

A Chinese Mother and an American Father. 

Both of which who just happened to be part of the media industry. When Amelia was born, she was already destined to become an entertainer, one which worked for her parents' agency. Mother was a model, whereas her father was an actor and both led rather luxurious lives, boasted about their careers and how successful their daughter would be. In their minds, a regal woman of finesse, class, and beauty. Ha. Haha. Oh, how wrong they were. They had high hopes for their daughter, however they were horrified to find that she carried more recessive genes than they had hoped. Bright blue eyes from her father's mother, and dirty brown hair from her mother's grandmother. 

Anyways, out popped a daughter who looked rather.. interesting to say the least. Though she was rather pretty, she came out heavier than the average baby, chubbier even. Her head was big, and people often made fun of her parents because of how large she looked - she was often referred to as a little piggy. Her early childhood mainly consisted of being taken back and forth to babysitters, that is, until something fairly.. Disturbing happened. Her abilities awakened sometime in her later childhood, and as such resulted in numerous people complaining to her parents about how she was practically a safety hazard. At some point, things became harder for the two of them to find a babysitter who was willing to take her in, and so decided that they would observe her with one of the newer and oblivious maids they had. The looks on their faces when they found that the girl practically burned the skin at touch, corroding and killing off the top layer of skin cells on the woman who shrieked. It was from there on, where they realized that maybe she wasn't so useless after all. 

Eventually, she was diagnosed to hold a manipulation over biology at the cellular level. Hearing this, their parents did everything they could to get her to change her own cellular structure by emphasizing certain genes within her DNA. They were determined, but this child hadn't the slightest clue of what she was getting into. Every day they would make her cover up her body in fear that she wouldn't get upset and go on a rampage in frustration. Of course, they only realized that her capabilities were limited to physical flesh to flesh touch. If she wore gloves or if the people were covered, she had no way of harming or doing anything. She was vulnerable and well.. They quite literally whipped her into shape from their frustration. It took a number of months for her to be able to develop her Biokinesis to the point she could alter her own DNA, and she hated every single painful second of it. 

She felt like a lab rat.. Was that all she was worth?

Amelia inherited her father's Necromancy, and so the man constantly brought her out to graveyards. He raised the dead numerous times, all to result in a petrified and terrified Amelia from being so young at the time. He wanted to teach her how to control her own Necromancy, and so when he had time, he pulled her out to the nearby cemetery to raise the dead, or the communicate with the lingering souls. She was unable to communicate with with souls of spirits, however she was able to reanimate the dead. Her father assumed that she only inherited the reanimation aspect, rather than the divination aspect. The sight of dead bodies imprinted themselves in her naive mind, resulting in phobia of the undead. Seeing their child develop a fear this deep, both parents brought her to a therapist who was baffled by the extent of mental abuse she was put through. 

Amelia was brought into counselling for a number of months, and slowly showed signs of recovery. With that, her parents also called up some family friends who were aware of said abilities and had knowledge of biology to handle their daughter. She was able to initiate the DNA alteration to change her body's appearance as she grew, which practically made her parents jump for joy. Although sadly, she was still bad at controlling it and keeps gloves on at the time to prevent her from using it unintentionally. Since the DNA alteration and the developed phobia, she more or less grew to loathe her ability. 

Unfortunately, at the time, she was still unable to control her biological manipulation. When she was led into a back alley when she was young (A kidnapping attempt), the man who unknowingly grabbed her bare arm for too long ended up burning his entire hand to the point some muscle and bone tissue were visible. He screamed, and screamed, and she froze. He attempted to attack her with his other hand, however that hand got burnt as well. She was so scared that her biokinesis went haywire, as a means to protect herself. But, as a result of that, she saw what was under the human flesh, raw. This reminded her greatly of those dead bodies raised by necromancy, and the amount of blood she witnessed was certainly not pleasant. After a few moments, the man lost too much blood and passed out. Amelia was found shortly after, by her parents, who was crying whilst balled up in the corner. She was once again brought into therapy for the event, however her parents altered the story whereas they claimed that they witnessed certain events. 

Eventually, she learned to control her ability and when the DNA alteration was complete, her mother brought her into the modelling world. Surprisingly, Amelia grew to love the industry because for the first time ever, she was praised for looking pretty. Desperate for this feeling of being needed, she agreed to get into the modelling industry, and honed her drama skills with her father. She was expected to be proper and elegant, and so was raised that way by the time she hit her pre-teen years. Course, she never paid much attention and only put that act up when she was around her parents. Think of it as.. Her own way of coping. She was able to develop a peppy and collaborative attitude when working with people, and the exposure to positive attention only made her yearn for more. She liked the attention, she liked acting like a child. 

Her parents enrolled her in prestige school for her, with other children who held abilities. With that, she took a break from her career to take more time in her schooling, albeit staying on guard so that she wouldn't be scared or startled. Poor girl doesn't even know that she can do as much good as she does bad. 

Nowadays, she often finds herself hopping over to the bell tower and spend her time walking around and about. She has taken a liking to old, abandoned churches, and she hopes that she could visit one sometime. It would be pretty calming, right? Exactly.
