Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 2033 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]Well of course Aryn attempted to keep himself in check but every so often his eyes would wander over the form of the smaller male in front of him. Naturally the car ride was silent and awkward which made his seem excruciatingly longer than it actually was, but Aryn couldn't be too surprised about it. The albino male was feeling embarrassed about his current outfit and Aryn was feeling embarrassed about finding that embarrassment adorable. Seriously, he needed to get himself together.
As they pulled up to the shop, Amos managed to stammer out a bit of thanks for the nice time. Aryn smiled softly and nodded his head, "Yeah, anytime... We should do it again soon." Was that even appropriate to say? This was supposed to just be some sort of after school lesson right? Gods, why was he making things so much more awkward. Thankfully he didn't have to muse over it much longers as a girl came to get him. Though the name he was called made the ginger raise an eyebrow, but only for a moment. It made sense that he wouldn't use his real name for a job he technically wasn't supposed to have. Not to mention it was probably safer for him that way.
As the albino disappeared inside with the girl, Aryn thought about parking and going inside to thank his boss personally, having remembered the wine he was given as a gift, but the more he thought about it, the more he remembered Amos telling him to never come when he was actually working. Perhaps the teen was embarrassed to be seen in such a way. After all, he was merely wearing the uniform and he could barely look at the older male.
Still the ginger parked his car in the lot and got out. He spent probably a good half hour contemplating going in anyway or not, but when he peeked in it was a rather full house and he decided it was best not to cause trouble for the kid. So instead he took to walking down the street, looking at the random little shops, dodging eye contact with the sketchy people on the street. He stopped at the doughnut shop that Shin had taken him to before.
As he was there he got himself a plain doughnut, standing outside of the shop and eating it. He had to chuckle to himself as he recalled his first encounter with Amos outside of French class. That turned out to be an interesting night. Not to mention he learned that as tough as the male acted he actually had a weakness. A fear of thunder. Though honestly the ginger thought it was the lightning you should be afraid of instead.
Finishing up the doughnut Aryn started to walk back toward his car. He should probably be getting home, he knew he would do as asked and not go in when the albino teen was actually working. Still, he couldn't help but worry that the kid would be getting off late, and he wouldn't call Aryn like the ginger had told him to for a ride. The teacher could understand having pride about stuff like that and not wanting to take advantage but the ginger was the one who offered without being prompted. Besides, at least that way Aryn would know the kid was safe. Maybe he should wait... Or at the very least come back.
Getting into his car, Aryn did return home for a few hours, cleaning the place up better and getting some reading in before deciding to head back. He was certain the shift couldn't be terribly long, so he was only gone for about three hours in total. He brought a book with him to read though so he could at least occupy his time. While waiting he did witness a disgruntled male leaving the establishment, but paid no mind to it. He was certain that probably happened a lot when they were told not to touch. Of course the ginger assumed that the albino's boss was there and had simply kicked the guy out. After all, the older male remembered a bat being mentioned at some point in the same sentence as his boss.
While waiting in his car the ginger seemed to have fallen asleep for a bit because when he woke up it was quite dark. Rubbing his eyes a bit he looked at his phone for the time, wondering if maybe he would have missed the albino leaving. Well, he didn't have to wonder long since he started hearing gunshots and some yelling. This was a sketchy neighborhood but that sounded way too close for comfort. Aryn felt a sudden rush of worry, not for himself but for Amos. He honestly didn't even need to think about it, about his own safety, he was going to make sure everything was okay. Getting out of his car as quickly as he could, he made his way toward the door to be faced with the sight of three bloody, dead bodies and a beaten and stripped Amos on the ground.
"Monsieur Vang!?" The older male called out, rushing to his side and carefully rolling him over. The boy was out cold and mostly unmoving, prompting Aryn to check for a pulse. Well at least he was alive. His violet eyes scanned over the boy, his clothing torn and his pants so much so that they couldn't even really be considered pants anymore. Aryn could only guess what had happened between Amos and the three males though he had no idea why they were all laying there shot up. But he didn't worry in the least about the bodies since it seemed that they all turned on each other, and as long as Amos wasn't there when they were discovered everything should work out. Attempting to get the boy to wake Aryn at first tried to gently shake him, repeatedly saying his name. When that didn't work he carefully tapped the side of the albino's cheek at least getting him to stirr. Well that was a good sign. A hospital. Aryn needed to get this kid to a hospital.
Rushing back to his car he grabbed a blanket from his trunk. Aryn was the type to always be prepared having a full emergency kit in his car for times like this, so a blanket wasn't all that strange for him to have. Running back toward the boy, he wrapped him carefully in it and scooped him up into his arms, holding him close. A noise came from the teen but Aryn just softly shushed him and carried him to his car. It was a good thing that Amos was a fairly small kid, or this would be much harder.
The ginger opened the back of his car and carefully lay Amos down, ensuring he was still wrapped in the blanket. "Monsiuer Vang, I'm going to get you to a hospital alright? So please hang on." Aryn fumbled for his phone as he also started his car trying to do both at once. Finally Amos spoke though just to tell him no. "No? No... Hospital? But you need to..." Aryn mentioned, but the teen sounded so weak in the first place. He again begged with a please but was out like a light once more.
The ginger sat there for a moment, unsure of what to do. The kid needed medical attention, even a blind person would know that, but it wasn't like Aryn wanted to upset the boy if he really didn't want to go to a hospital. Maybe he was worried about the medical bill, which was ridiculous because Aryn would easily pay that for him. Then again, the albino teen had an immense sense of pride, so that would probably just piss him off more. Then it came to him.
Picking up his phone and dialing, Aryn began driving toward his own home. "Hey Shai? It's Aryn... I know it's late but I have a weird request... Can you come make a house call? It's an emergency." The ginger didn't want to give too much details on the phone, "I'll explain when you get here, but a student is hurt." Okay so that might have sounded bad for him, but after Shai arrived and got an explanation along with seeing Amos, he'd surely understand.
Normally Aryn was a careful driver, but he threw caution to the wind in this moment speeding home. Thankfully he made it quite quickly, opening the door and carefully pulling Amos out of the car and into his arms again. Managing to get him into the house, he took him upstairs and lay him on his bed. Gently running a hand through the teens hair with a pained expression on his face, Aryn shook his head. "I'm sorry I failed to protect you..." He said softly, mostly to himself.
It didn't seem to take long for Shai to arrive as Aryn heard a knock on his door. He went downstairs to let the school nurse in, already prepared with his explanation. Well, at least of anything that Shai would actually need to know. He mentioned how he had dropped Amos off after he got a call while doing extra credit work, and since it would be so late he had gone to pick him up. He also explained the situation he had found the poor boy and how he asked not to be taken to a hospital while leading Shai upstairs to his bed room.
The ginger of course gave Shai access to anything and everything he could need that he might have, before rummaging through his clothing drawers. After a moment he came back with a button down shirt, holding it out towards Shai. "You could maybe get this on him after you look at him? I can wash the salvageable parts of his clothes and get him something to wear tomorrow..." The ginger mentioned, laying it on the bed. The worry on his face never once relaxing as the ginger watched the passed out boy. "I uh... I'll go make you some tea. And Shai... Thank you again. For coming." He mentioned before disappearing downstairs to do as he said, and also to give Shai some privacy to examine him.
Downstairs Aryn put a kettle on the stove before leaning over the counter and placing his face into his hands. He felt terrible. Terrible for ever imagining... Ever thinking those types of things about the boy. Not that he could help it if he tried. Did that make him the same as those disgusting men who did this? It did didn't it? But he could never hurt a student that way. Hurt Amos that way. At least he was sure he couldn't.
The ginger barely realized that the kettle was whistling before he slowly stood up and took it off of the stove. He made two cups of tea, one for Shai and one for himself, hoping that maybe it would calm his nerves a little. So many things were running through his mind, and honestly he couldn't wrap his head around any of it. He looked back toward the stairs, hoping that he would get some news about the boy soon.

It had been a fairly quiet evening for him as he studied for an upcoming final. Of course, he was also writing a thesis for his doctorate in Psychiatry. But he had been up for quite some time and was starting to doze off at his laptop when his phone rang. "Hnn?" Of course he shot up and stumbled over a chair as he made his way to his living room to get his phone. "Ow... Yeah?" He answered, still trying to untangle himself from his chair. But he stopped and blinked a few times. "Aryn, slow down, what? A student? I'll be right there."
Of course it didn't take him long to gather his bag of medical supplies and run out the door. It took him even less time to make it to Aryn's house, running from his car to the door. Of course, in his rush to get to the house, he had totally forgotten the fact that he was in his pajamas and slippers. He did at least remember a jacket, though, dressed like this he looked more like a fourteen year old than a twenty-four year old. The fact that his pajamas were pink and had puppies and kittens on them probably didn't really help matters. But it wasn't like he was entirely focused on his own attire at that moment, knocking as loud as he could to alert the teacher of his presence.
Aryn answered and ushered him inside, explaining the situation to the best of his ability. The doctor followed him up to where the student lay. "Oh Amos..." He looked terrible. "I'll need a large bowl of water, and lots of towels. But I think I have everything else I need." Of course Aryn was very forthcoming with these things as the doctor went about cutting off the rest of the boy's shirt. He just nodded a bit at putting the boy in the shirt he was given once he was done. "Ah, tea would be lovely, thank you."
Once Aryn left, he went about examining the boy, spending more time on the wound to his stomach than anything else. "Nnn.... Nnngh...?"
Of course, the boy started stirring, and Shai loaded a syringe with morphine for him. It wasn't as good to use as anesthesia, but he hoped in this case, it would knock him out just enough to help him. "It's alright, Amos. You're alright now. Please, don't struggle. I'm only here to help." Of course the boy was growling, trying to back away, but he was so weak... "Shh... Relax.. It's alright..." It didn't take too long for him to find a vein and get the painkiller in his system, and the boy fell almost instantly still. "I'm sorry. It will hurt. But I'll try my best to ease your pain."
The boy whimpered a bit as Shai pressed around the wound. He didn't want to dig for a bullet unless there was one, but unfortunately, there was. "I'm sorry, try to stay still." The boy screamed as Shai dug the metal out.
~ ~ ~ ~
After about half an hour, Shai came down the stairs, toweling of his hands, slowly making his way to sit across from the ginger. "He's resting now. He should be alright, but he's lost a lot of blood. He definitely has a concussion. Luckily the bullet to his stomach didn't pierce any organs or vital arteries, so he was pretty fortunate not to have any internal bleeding. It's probably going to take him a few days to get back on his feet. I can keep him in my office during the day if he's up for it. I would also be willing to take him back to my apartment, unless you'd prefer him to stay here? Only for a few days to make sure the concussion doesn't turn serious."
Shai picked up his cup of tea and moved to warm it in the microwave. "Though... While he'll recover physically... I'm not entirely sure how his mental state will be. I know that he's been through a lot in his life, so he might come out of this just the same as he's always been." But he sighed and pulled the tea cup out and took a sip before moving to sit across from the other faculty member. "I guess only time will really tell. If you don't mind, I'd like to stick around here tonight, just in case he spikes a fever or something serious..."
~ ~ ~ ~
A few hours passed and he found himself sleeping in a sitting position on Aryn's couch, just lightly dozing in and out, after all, he was a fairly light sleeper when he had patients. And he slowly came out of it as he heard footsteps on the stairs. At first he thought nothing of it, thinking perhaps it was just Aryn returning from checking on the boy. But there was something... uneven about it. Slowly he stretched and stood. "Amos!? What are you doing!? Get back in bed!"
But the student glared at him, holding onto his stomach where the doctor had stitched him up. "I wanna go home... I wanna go... I..." The boy was pale, well, paler than usual, except for the slight red tinging his cheeks, sweating. Definitely a fever. "I wanna.." Was he holding a scalpel? Damn. Maybe he should've brought his bag downstairs with him. "Take me... Home..."
"Amos, please. You need to rest." The boy faltered a bit and caught himself on a wall. Shai held out his hands in a submissive way and slowly approached the boy. "Give me that, and lets get you back to bed, hmm?
"No! I... I wanna go! I... I don't... Stay away from me!"
"Alright, alright. Calm down."
"Calm!? Calm down!? Let me go! I... I don't know.. Just let me go!"
"Amos-"
"Why do you keep calling me that!? You don't know me! I don't know you!"
Hmm... Maybe he was hit harder in the head than he thought. "Alright. It's alright. My name is Shai, and I'm a doctor. I'm just trying to help you. You were attacked. This house belongs to a teacher, Monsieur Phenix. He's your teacher. We're only trying to help you."
"I just want... I just want to go home..."
"It's alright.. We can take you. Where is your home?" Sometimes it was better to let the confusion sort itself out, right?
"I... I... I don't know... I.. I don't know!"
"Alright.. It's alright, calm down. Come on. How about you sit down over here alright? We only want to help you." The boy shakily nodded and attempted to walk towards the doctor, but sort of fell towards him instead. It wasn't hard for Shai to catch him, but he motioned to Aryn for a bit of assistance. After all, he was smaller than the albino. Once they had Amos situated on the couch, Shai sat beside him on the floor, taking his pulse. "Amos? Can you tell me if there's anyone we can call for you?" It wasn't like he had his file memorized, and he couldn't remember if the boy had any emergency contacts. "Otherwise I'll have to go and get your file. What about your parents? Relatives?"
"Nnnn..." Amos shook his head a bit. "I... I remember... School... I.. No... No one... My file is... Forged... Faked... I... I just needed to... To... get in..."
Shai looked up towards the teacher for a moment, seeing if he knew anything about it before turning his attention back to the boy. "Your file is... Forged?"
"Y-yeah... I... I... Someone.. owed me a... A favor and... Pretended to... to be... My family so.. So I could... Pay tuition in... In their name..."
"Amos... Where are your parents? Or.. Any guardian for that matter. We need to inform them that you've bee hurt."
Again he shook his head. "I don't... I don't have any..." Surely that had to be wrong? Surely he would've become a ward or put into a system if his parents had died. "I ran... I ran away..." But surely his name would've flagged during enrollment... "I..." But he slipped into a restless unconsciousness.
Shai sighed and looked up towards the teacher, a concerned look on his face. "Stay with him. I have to run to the hospital to fetch antibiotics and some other supplies. I'd like to get him on an iv as soon as possible. Until then, you can use cold compresses to try and get his fever down. I'm also going to stop at the school and get his file. I can't believe that they're sloppy enough to allow in a student without..." But he paused and shook his head. "This poor boy.. i'll call you when I'm on my way back. I'll keep my phone on in case something happens. Just.. try and keep him comfortable until I return."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Amos's sleep was restless, and the nightmares caused him to mumble or groan from time to time. About twenty minutes after the doctor left, he found himself slowly waking up, completely terrified and confused about his surroundings. A small whimper escaped his throat, but it hurt too much to move. No.. He had to. he had to get out of here. So he rolled until he fell off the couch with a grunt. It took him a moment to try crawling across the floor, only to be stopped. The boy growled a bit, then whimpered, just curling up in a ball at the teacher's feet. "Just let me go... I... I won't tell anyone mister... I won't... I won't..."

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 1000 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]The ginger had spent a good portion of time simply staring into the liquid in his cup. He wasn't really sure if he had moved since he made the tea, besides breathing. At least he was pretty sure he was breathing. Shai had come down stairs finally and Aryn finally looked up from his tea cup. Aryn offered him the cup he had made for the doctor though it was certainly cold by now.
The brunette explained that Amos had lost a lot of blood, had a concussion and apparently been shot. The ginger sighed and ran a hand through his hair and nodded his head slowly about it taking awhile to recover fully. "He can stay here if he wants to..." Okay well, maybe the albino wasn't exactly in a condition to be making decisions about where he would be staying, but the ginger simply wanted him to be comfortable enough.
As Shai picked up the cup of tea and moved to heat it up in the microwave he continued with his explanation toward the younger male. As he asked about sticking around Aryn shook his head, "Ah no, no by all means... Please. Make yourself comfortable." Well as comfortable as he could be given the situation he supposed. Besides, it eased Aryn to know that Shai was here and gave him someone to talk to idly, in an attempt to get his mind off of everything.
At some point they had moved to the couch and continued to chat, either of them occasionally going to check on the boy. Shai had fallen asleep at some point and Aryn took care to cover the doctor with a blanket before going upstairs to check on the at the time, still sleeping Amos. Honestly the ginger was exhausted as well, but couldn't seem to calm his mind enough to sleep. So instead he showered, cleaned and at the moment taken to cooking some food.
Aryn had been lost in his own thoughts, not realizing that something was happening until he heard voices. Turning off anything he might have had on at the moment he turned his attention toward Amos who was now out of bed, and Shai. The doctor was trying to calm the albino down who kept demanding that he wanted to go home. Did this boy not know anything? That blow to his head must have been more traumatic than Shai had initially thought.
The ginger remained quiet for now, not wanting to aggitate the boy any more than he already, obviously was. Thankfully Shai seemed to calm him enough to get him to agree to sit, but fell instead. Instinctively Aryn stepped forward, but thankfully Shai had caught him. Still, he moved to help the doctor get the teen onto the couch. The ginger crossed his arms over his chest that worried expression still glued to his face as Shai asked if there was anyone they could call for him. That worry turned into surprise as Amos mentioned having fake documents.
He didn't have parents, he didn't have a home, he was quite literally by himself. Aryn had simply thought he had a less than desirable home life, not a nonexistent one. As Shai looked at him and asked him to stay with him, Aryn nodded his head, "Of course... Thank you Shai." Aryn mentioned, walking the doctor to the door and wishing him a safe trip.
The teacher sighed out before heading back toward the once again passed out male, doing as he was told and trying to get his fever down the best he could. The albino's sleep seemed to be restless and Aryn contemplated if he should use his power to help him sleep, but the albino didn't sleep for very long.
Aryn stepped back a bit so that Amos could take in where he was. Of course as he tried to move the ginger frowned, "You need to stay still..." But of course his warning was not heeded and the boy fell right off of the couch, attempting to crawl away now. Sighing Aryn stepped closer again, but the albino male just curled up at his feet, begging to be let go. Squatting down and gently placing a hand on the albino's shoulder Aryn shook his head. "You need to stay here okay? We just want to help you...." He just wanted to protect the boy, even though he had quite obviously failed at that already.
With another heavy sigh Aryn picked the male up and placed him carefully back onto the couch, kneeling at the edge of it incase the albino attempted to roll away again. "It's going to be okay... You'll be okay... I won't let anything else bad happen to you..." The ginger noted as he gently pet the boy's hair. Amos probably needed a new compress now, but since his little attempt escape Aryn was wary of getting up and going to the kitchen. So instead he stayed where he was, watching over the boy carefully, "You'll be okay...." If he repeated it enough times, it would be true right?
Feel my pulse as I breathe at hundred and three; Oh Lord, oh Lord; I'm not afraid of the trip; In a pool filled with sin; He said don't you run from me while I take it off; Take it off, take it off; Tell me your name while I break you off; There's just way too many temptations, oh Lord; I can feel it coming in the air tonight; Feel it coming, oh Lord, feel it coming; When the rhythm hits, I'm not afraid to die, oh Lord [googlefont="Abel"][googlefont="Kalam"] [newclass=.nthlftsybdytxt1]margin-top:-20px;padding:10px;border-left:#ffaebd solid 4px;text-align:justify;width:400px;font-family:'Abel';font-size:12px;color:#c1c1c1;[/newclass] [newclass=.nthlftsybdytxt1 b]color:#ffc9d3;[/newclass] [newclass=.nthlftsybdytxt1 i]color:#ff93a7;[/newclass]

I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down | [attr="class","scroll"] "Please.... Just let me... Let me go..." His pleading went, not exactly ignored, but it wasn't like it helped him. He didn't really seem to know that he had nowhere to get. He tried to struggle a bit as he was picked up, but that did practically nothing as well. "Please mister... I... I won't tell anyone... I just want... I just... I want to go home..." He went in and out a few times, panting lightly in his fevered state.
Shai returned like he said he would. He set a few file folders on the counter, then made his way towards the albino. "This should help.." He went about hooking him up to an iv right there on the couch because he thought it best not to try and move the boy. "Thank you for watching over him." Once he was finished he moved to the kitchen. "Have any coffee?" As long as neither of them were going to get much sleep, he might as well attempt to fill them with caffeine.
The brunette sat at the counter and flipped through the files. "He has some medical records, I was able to pull him up from the hospital." He shook his head. "Kind of glad I did as apparently he has some antibiotic allergies. I figured he had had a rough life, but I... I didn't realize it had been this bad." The doctor shook his head and sighed. He always had a soft spot for kids like this. "He must be no older than eight here. Signs of captivity, abuse. He was found in an alley. Someone went to throw out garbage and realized a box was coughing." He shook his head again. "At the time he claimed to have no parents. Police questioned him and he mentioned he had been living on the streets for a year when he was taken. I guess they just figured they'd put him back when they were done with him. Two days later when social services went to claim him, he was gone. Just took off."
He shook his head again and looked at the records more thoroughly. "Has he really been on the streets for seven years?" He paused and looked towards the now more peacefully sleeping boy on the couch. "I don't care what it takes Aryn. You and I are going to spoil this boy."

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 487 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]When Shai returned the ginger stepped back so the doctor could easily hook the boy up to whatever he needed to. When asked if he had coffee, Aryn nodded his head and moved into the kitchen to make some for them both. As he worked on that the brunette joined him and sat at the counter, flipping through the files that he had picked up.
The more the doctor read aloud, the worse everything sounded. Finishing the coffee, Aryn poured himself and Shai a cup offering it to him. He also placed some creamer and sugar on the counter in case the male wanted some. Normally the ginger would put creamer in his own coffee, but tonight he thought it would be better to get the full strength of the coffee by drinking it black. After all, he had still yet to sleep at all, though honestly he was sure he wouldn't be able to if he tried.
It was more than obvious that Amos had led a very hard life, and seemed to still be living one. Shai mentioned spoiling him and Aryn nodded his head. "I've offered him to come over here anytime he wanted... But maybe instead he should just..." Well, the boy didn't even want to take up his first offer, he wasn't sure he would react kindly to an offer for him to just live there. Not to mention he wasn't entirely sure the boy would be comfortable with it, given... Well. Now wasn't the time to think about those things.
His violet eyes shifted from the sleeping form on the couch to Shai once again. "Do you think he'll remember anything?" Obviously that was going to be a problem as far as school went if he couldn't. Shai and Aryn would at least be able to keep an eye on him, but not knowing who anyone was, who he himself was, that would make things complicated. Not that it mattered to the ginger, he would help in anyway that he could.

"Well, the safest place for him would still probably be the school itself, not that he wouldn't be safe with you. I just think he'd feel more comfortable there." It wasn't like he was wrong. Though he sighed a bit when Aryn brought up the boy's memory. "I honestly don't know. He seemed... Very confused. Hopefully it will go away when the fever breaks but... I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you if he'll have lasting brain damage without a CAT scan." It wasn't like he wanted the boy to suffer.
Another sigh escaped him as he gulped his whole cup of coffee and made his way back towards the boy, removing his jacket and rolling up his sleeves. "I usually don't do this, and... probably will sorely regret it. But... You deserve the chance to make your life better." He knelt down beside the boy and rested his hands on his forehead, letting them start to softly glow. After a few minutes, the brunette smiled and promptly flopped over on the floor. His hands were red and burned, but nothing that wouldn't fade in time. "Heh.. I'm alright... Just... Takes a bit out of me..."
The boy on the couch groaned a bit and turned onto his side, his eyes slowly opening. "Sh...Shai?" He blinked and looked around a bit more. "Mister... Phenix...?" Another groan. What the hell was going on? "What...?"
"Rest... Please." A small noise came from the brunette as he pushed himself into a sitting position. "Rest... Aryn...? Would you mind helping me up?"

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 439 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]Right. Obviously it was hard for Shai to fully know the extent of what was wrong without access to the proper equipment. But getting Amos to a hospital was out as far as the ginger was concerned. The way he had pleaded not to be taken in the car was enough for the ginger to follow those wishes. As Shai gulped down the entirety of his coffee and stood up Aryn curiously raised an eyebrow watching as he went over to the boy and mentioned not normally doing such things.
The brunette's hands began to glow, lingering there until he flopped over. Aryn quickly made his way toward the living room to help, though the brunette mentioned he was fine. His attention was pulled from the doctor as Amos began to stirr again though, this time mentioning Shai's name and his own. Well, that was good. At least he had remembered who they were. Of course being the doctor he was though he asked Amos to continue to rest before asking for help himself.
"Oh! Yes, sorry." Aryn quickly apologized, returning his attention toward the brunette as he made his way to Shai's side, helping him up and sitting him on the piano bench. "Can I get you anything to help? More coffee? Water?" The ginger didn't really wait for an answer before disappearing back toward the kitchen and reimerging with both offered items, placing them onto the bench next to Shai. "You didn't need to...." Aryn started, feeling bad that Shai had pushed himself like that, but he bowed slightly toward the brunette, "But it's appreciated, I'm sure." He mentioned looking toward Amos again. Well, it made sense that Shai was a doctor with a power like that.

Shai smiled a bit as he was helped up, shaking his head as Aryn went about doing whatever he was doing. Gathering items for him to drink. He supposed that would be lovely once his hands recovered. "Thank you." He smile again and chuckled a bit to himself. "I didn't become a doctor to be thanked and appreciated. I simply did it to help others. I want for nothing else." The brunette smiled again, looking from Aryn to the boy on the sofa. "I am quite glad to see he's recovered though. The injury to his brain was indeed more severe than I anticipated." He should have probably been brought to a hospital, but he was lucky enough to be the kind of healer that he was.
The brunette looked down to his slowly healing hands. "I haven't healed something so severe in a long time... A rare gift I was told. But, it takes it's toll with each use. I suppose that's why I took to conventional medicine." He looked up towards Aryn again. "Ah I.. I removed the linens from your bed, though, you may need a new mattress." He had tried to contain the bleeding as best as he could, but the boy had been covered in it. "He's quite lucky. If you hadn't been there, he very well could've died."

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 511 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]When Shai mentioned the damage being more severe than he thought the ginger nodded his head. "Even with the fact that you don't do it for the thanks...." His violet eyes once again moved to look at the brunette, "You certainly deserve it. I know he should have been taken to a hospital with the condition he was in... But he just begged... And I couldn't.... So thank you. For coming when I called." Aryn noted that he was appreciating more than just Shai wearing himself out to heal the boy. After all, Shai could have simply called for an ambulance himself, or refused to come leaving Aryn no choice but to take the boy in. But he hadn't, and he had actually shown up with knowing very little about the situation initially.
"Please take care of yourself. Wanting to help people is fine, but you need to take concern about your life as well." Not that Aryn didn't have people that he would easily trade his own life for theirs, but he couldn't help but be concerned for the brunette. As Shai looked at him and mentioned his bedding, Aryn shook his head and waved the doctor off. "You didn't need to worry about that... It's easily replaced. But thank you for letting me know." He gave a small smile toward the brunette for a moment. At least until Shai mentioned how Amos could have died.
Aryn ran a hand through his hair and shook his head, "If I hadn't fallen asleep, I might have heard the commotion before...." He sighed again, obviously blaming himself for what happened. "I had gone to pick him up to make sure he would be alright... To make sure things like this wouldn't happen... And I...." Well someone was obviously feeling guilty. Though Aryn wasn't entirely sure the guilt he was feeling was solely from the fact that he didn't protect the boy, or that he was convinced he was just as much scum as those men were. It was obvious what they had been trying to accomplish with the boy. He knew how they probably looked at him, what they imagined about him.

The brunette smiled at the teacher again and nodded. "It's no problem really. I do house calls a lot. Young master Luka de'Enguarde gets into quite a lot of trouble. Plus, a lot of the other students have accidents or slips of power during the night as well. I will always come running to them. And I don't really blame him for not wanting to go to a hospital. Granted, you could've vouched for him. But he has no parents and a flighty history. He would've been taken away from here. Probably away from the school. I'm sure to him that would be worse than dying."
He sat back and rested against the piano a bit, finally able to pick up the cup of coffee and take a sip. "Ah, fear not for my life, concerned sir." He smiled and took another sip. "I survived medical school!" He chuckled a bit. But he paused and a soft look came over his face as Aryn went on to feel guilty. The brunette reached out an took his hand in his own and gave him a soft smile. "Don't blame yourself for any of this. You saved his life. If you had been awake, if you had startled them, you both could be dead right now. You could've been shot too. As far as I'm concerned, you were right where you needed to be, at exactly the right time."

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 452 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]Aryn nodded his head in understand when Shai mentioned coming to the students rescue. He was honestly the same despite not being a doctor, but if a student was ever in trouble, the ginger would always help. Whether it was a bully problem, parental problem, monetary problem or just some guidance and someone to talk to. He supposed it was why most students liked him as a teacher. As Shai mentioned not wanting to go to the hospital the younger male nodded, "I know he worries about that... I didn't want to be the cause of him being kicked out or taken away from here."
As Shai attempted to make a joke, the ginger gave a half hearted chuckle. Well he was sure medical school was no easy feat, especially for someone he was certain was quite young, but he definitely would be concerned about the doctor's use of his power affecting him so much. As the brunette took Aryn's hand into his own, he looked at him once again. He was being comforted now for his guilt, though there was more to it than what Shai was saying, so Aryn merely nodded his head. "Yeah, I guess so..." Giving a small smile toward the brunette, he placed his other hand ontop of Shai's, "Thanks."
As if suddenly remembering something he looked back toward the kitchen before once again looking at the brunette, "Oh hey, are you hungry? I didn't really know what to do with myself so I had started prepping to cook earlier." Actually, Aryn was starving a bit since he hadn't eaten since he and Amos cooked together earlier. He felt a bit rude for not offering earlier, but hey there was a lot going on. It's not like either of them would have had time to eat then.

Shai just nodded a bit as the teacher mentioned food. "I think my last meal was lunch. So yes, food would be fantastic."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
After they had devoured their meal, well, alright, the brunette devoured his food, and quite a lot of it, explaining that didn't usually happen, but his powers recovered faster if he was beyond full, which truly did seem to be the case, he promptly passed out, just right on the floor next to the kid on the couch. He was thoroughly exhausted, and it wasn't terribly surprising.
Another few hours passed and the sun was just over the horizon when the albino began to stir, sort of blinking his way into existing. He quietly looked around himself for a few moments before pushing himself into a sitting position, groaning a bit at the pain in his stomach. Well, Shai had only healed his head and not his entire body. It didn't take him long to tear the iv from his arm and push himself into some sort of wobbly standing position.

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 357 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]Aryn smiled a bit more when Shai mentioned wanting food, going to finish his cooking. At least it was something that could relax him enough. Not to mention it was rather enjoyable for him to watch Shai eat as though it were the best thing he had ever tasted. As Shai went to pass out on the floor next to the albino, Aryn covered the both of them with a blanket before moving to once again clean up the kitchen.
The ginger male had restlessly fluttered around his home, going upstairs to rest a bit but always getting up to do something promptly afterward. As the sun started to come up Aryn had gotten himself presentable for the day, aside of the bags under his eyes, and went down stairs to start some breakfast. He wasn't sure Amos would be particularly hungry, but he could try. From the kitchen he heard the stirring but had assumed it was Shai. Of course when he turned around to actually look, he was surprised to see Amos standing there - albeit wobbly. "Hey, don't try to do so much..." The ginger mentioned walking toward the living room. "Take it easy, okay?" He mentioned, gesturing for Amos to sit down once again.

I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down | [attr="class","scroll"] It didn't take long for the teacher to come out to the living room, but he shook his head and instead made his way towards the kitchen. He was done just laying around. His head felt all woozy, but he would be damned if he couldn't fend for himself somehow. He only made it to the counter before he leaned on it, just staying like that for the time being. "I'm good... Stupid damn shitty drugs... Uhh... Coffee? I hate it but... It might help..." At least in his mind, coffee made the tired go away right? He winced a bit as he shifted to lean back against the counter, but that seemed to be just as bad of an idea as just standing there.
"Uhh.. So... I... I suppose I should be thanking you huh...? I mean.. For saving my life... The whole thing is fuzzy but... I just... got a feeling.." Of course he didn't know the details of the night, he had barely known who he was until Shai fixed his scrambled mind. "And.. Maybe aspirin. I.. I don't want anything heavy..."

Aryn PhenixDon't you run from me, feel it coming, oh lord There's just way too many temptations, oh lord
WORDS: 482 || TAGS: Amos Vang || Notes: Words here [attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]Aryn of course followed the teen into the kitchen, ensuring he was really alright before going back to cooking. When Amos asked for coffee the ginger gave him an 'are you sure?' type of look and nodded his head. "Sure..." Reaching over to the already made pot of coffee he poured a mug for the albino, once again taking out creamer and sugar in case he wanted it, more so considering he said he didn't like the stuff.
Finishing up cooking, he placed a plate of eggs and potatoes o'brien on the counter toward Amos. The teen was sort of thanking him and asking for aspirin, which Aryn turned and opened a cupboard to get. "You don't need to thank me... Shai did the heavy lifting in helping you." Placing two aspirin on the counter for Amos as well, he gestured toward the food. "Just eat what you can hm? It'll be good to get some food in you." He didn't really expect the kid to have a huge appetite given the circumstances so it wasn't much food in the first place, but it wasn't like he expected the teen to eat at all really. It was more of a he hoped he would.
Getting a glass of water in case that was what the albino wanted to take the pills with he placed it down for the teen. Aryn's violet eyes scanned over the boy, "I'm sorry... That I couldn't do more for you." Shai had already given his mention that it wasn't his fault, but the ginger couldn't help it. He needed to apologize. "And I'm sorry that I...." Am like them. But instead of finishing that thought, the ginger just shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. Turning away from the albino to face the stove again he plated the rest of the food in the pan. "If you want toast or something instead, I can easily make you some. Anything you want, just ask, okay?"
